Coach do you have any tips for an edge rusher in Canadian football being lined up 1 yard off the line of scrimmage?
Yes I do Big Dawg! You can’t fight if you don’t get right! You have to burst his bubble first, get into his strike zone quickly!!! He is not going to give you his hands if you don’t threaten his space! So don’t most important thing it to get off the ball and break his plane as fast as possible. If not, all your rushes are going to turn into bull rushes because of his deep the OT or OG will be in his set by the time you get to him. The key again, is to threaten his space as soon as possible. Have to get tight to the fight or you can’t strike.
