Will Challoner in Vigilante Joker playthrough, if you say that you were never friends or stay silent, he actually becomes more like comic book Joker than villain one. The thing about Joker is that he doesn't hate Batman. And in villain storyline Joker seems way too insecure, while in this one, it seems like Joker is full in the end, finally finding his self.

Anthony Ingruber's take on the Joker is really cool and original. He does some shades of Mark Hamill, but isn't at all derivative of him like so many other voice actors who've played the part. He's got some killer laughs too. It'd be great to see what he'd do in some of DC's animated films.

Joker and Batman being friends before becoming archnemesis is a really interesting storyline. Also would explain why Batman is so against killing the Joker. Not only to prevent himself from slipping but also a refusal to kill a comrade because he believes that Joker can be redeemed.

This is Telltales Joker. Classic Joker doesn't feel right in this Batman Universe. Joker seemed like he wasn't a complete monster, but a lost soul with his heart in the right place.
Not to mention a lot of egging on from Harley. Even with her in custody (or the Suicide Squad rather), the repercussions were felt due to her meddling. There was no going back for him. For now. Who knows what's in store if Telltale does Season 3.

It is a very interesting quote. It is aimed at both Bruce and himself. Joker is messed up himself, and Bruce/Batman is messed up for seeing him as a friend.
@@abovethelaw4417 I think it more on how people are saying guys like Bruce Wayne would never be friends with John Doe. Harley says it in the car scene, and Joker says it at the end of the villain path. For Bruce to confirm that he saw John as a friend implies he's as messed up as John.
The end was pretty sad. I mean I wish Joker didn't kill those officers... But I guess when you're unstable and feel cornered and betrayed, you just do some crazy things. But I like the joker seeking true justice idea... I think he really believed he was doing the right thing.

I have some disagreements and things to add.
*Jack Nicholson's Joker -* Not the perfect reason they're archenemies. I always viewed them as archenemies because of their opposing morals. There is no villain in Batman's rogue's gallery who can challenge Batman's moral code the way Joker can. In Batman (1989), the idea of Batman dropping Joker into the vat of chemicals is perfectly fine, but I don't like Batman knowing who Joker is. And I hate the idea that Joker is the one who killed Bruce's parents.
*Mark Hamill -* No complaints here, he's definitely the best voice.
*Heath Ledger -* Agreed on the "sadistic tendencies", but I also think The Dark Knight is the only movie to get Batman/Joker rivalry perfectly. In Batman (1989), Batman and Joker are rivals due to creating one another, but other than that it's a rivalry with no moral stakes. Joker has boring morals (money, power, sex), and Batman just wants to kill him. There's nothing wrong with a simple rivalry, Batman and Joker's relationship doesn't need to be deep. But The Dark Knight got it better. Joker starts out using Batman as a way of getting the mob's trust, but the more he spends time with him, the more he grows a fascination with his moral code, and tries to break it. That's been the point of their rivalry for years. The rivalry between Batman and Joker isn't a physical battle, but a battle of morals. Even the final battle between Batman and Joker is physical for only a moment, but boils down to whether the passengers will kill each other or not. Batman does send Joker to prison, but he wins the fight when the passengers choose not to kill each other, proving to the Joker that people aren't as cruel as he thinks, and refusing to kill him.
*This one -* Agreed. "Almost-perfect". If the series were to continue, I hope Telltale would've ended up giving Joker and Batman the moral debate that makes them so fascinating, because this is a perfect origin for that rivalry.
Well I feel this one is the best voice. I feel this is the ONLY voice that actually makes the joker sound like a psychopath.
Definitely one the best Jokers ever. Feels so original and realistic. You know he is messed up but he is not having bad intentions. He just wants to the right thing, but does not know how.

Man, the dwindling line between passion/purpose and absolute unrestrained chaos is so palpable here in Ingruber’s voice as Joker. Really dig it.
Vigilante Joker has got right morals I feel as though Batman is a bit too much of a lapdog for the law and Joker is more of someone who actually wants Justice, which is why he's more likeable to me

I like this Joker, he now like best friend of Bruce, which i think Bruce never have one, and the reason Bruce try to stop this joker coz Joker is his best friend and cannot stand see him do bad thing even if that cost one of them die, unlike the other who now Villain who treated innocent people which is good but kind weird coz its start from Joker love to Harley, which kind ironic as in many universe (except one or two), Joker only want use Harley as pawn and Harley who blindly love him got abuse by her one-side lover.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting the fight between Joker and Batman to be as brutal as it is here. I was actually shocked when Batman stabbed his Batarang right through Joker's hand. Then, when Joker suddenly stopped laughing towards the end I was afraid that he died right there, like Batman had killed him without meaning to.
That actually happened in Villian Joker but he died from a heart attack but Bruce brought him back by shocking him.
I was willing to let Joker kill Waller, but Telltale couldn't let me keep my team together.

Joker has become completely DUMB in this episode, he promised Batman his kill defense was a one time thing and he completely BROKE IT!!!

I didn't say he wasn't insane in the other version. But the villain Joker was nowhere near as violent or as manic as what happened to vigilante Joker. It seems vigilante Joker trying to restrain himself just ultimately lost his marbles. The level of violence he inflicted on those agents was actually more over the top than anything he did in the villain version. Also the Joker killed those agents who did nothing to him violently..he's no anti hero...he's a villain.

Literally when the agents got near joker and Gordon wasn’t there I was like oh no collateral damage. Then he stabs a knife thru the bottom of some dudes jaw. Slices a woman’s throat. And then itches somebody’s lungs and liver with a knife before grabbing their legs and dipping them into the acid. Not expecting that
It's even more heartbreaking when you remember this Joker's laughter is a nervous tic. He's not laughing because he's amused, he's laughing because he's scared and confused

It’s interesting how his voice is more of a growl after the fight than his normal speaing voice. Hoarse from the fight, obviously, but also a bit reminiscent of Hamill’s joker

Season 2 does a MUCH better job at making the choices matter than season 1. I love season 1's story, it was super good, but 90% of the choices didn't do shit

To this Joker's credit, he genuinely TRIED to be a hero like Batman.
but, he could only fight his violent nature for so long until it finally broke free.
But, after all this, going back to the Batman: Arkham games is a brand new experience,
as I'll keep thinking of THIS Joker everytime Arkham's Joker insists he is Batman's "bestest friend in the world."
