So glad to see you made the path. My Mom scaped her shin to the bone slipping on the ice on rock steps thru rock wall. It was a week before she could get to the doctor. We lived in the country in Tennessee and we had 8 inches of week snow with another 1-1/2 freezing rain on top of it. It took that long for ice to melt so we could get her out to doctor. Thank God some of neighbors had moonshine to sterilize with after we went thru all the rubbing alcohol we had. We were so afraid she would lose her leg. I know its not the same today with life flight and such, but still don't want to see you injured! God Bless!

I haven't been watching for very long but wondered if you use heirloom garden seeds for your gardens. My favorite part of gardening was finding the best producing and hardiest heirloom seeds, then harvesting the seeds in late summer and early fall. We sold our little homestead in the fall of last year are waiting to get a smaller place. The only thing we have left are all our heirloom seeds in a freezer to be able to start our adventure again. Your homestead is beautiful! Please continue to share it with all of us.

But getting a cow you get more meat & a lot more milk. But that's up to you all. You make more stuff with cow milk like butter, ice cream, cheese. You can't do that with goats milk. Great video. God bless you and your family 😊. You can use your grass seed to fix your mud problem & it will get thick enough grass to help your yard problem.

Hey Al ..Have you considered a geothermal greenhouse build ??? seems it would be perfect for your homestead... Plus you got the backhoe..Does't have to be big ..surprising how much food you can grow in a small space..

We are in the "Just start," right now. We have 1.26 acres in the suburbs of Richmond, VA, and for the first 2 years had a small garden all while dreaming of, "Well, one day when we have our homestead...." Then one day I just decided we needed to do it and stop living in the future. So we did. We now have 2x the garden size, a small permaculture orchard, and edible landscape around our entire property of blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and more, plus a flock of 20 pastured laying chickens. One day when we get our "real" homestead this will have all taught us so much. I just couldn't sit and dream indefinitely. I had to JUST START! Your advice in these last minutes today are some profound truths from my own life. Thank you for sharing.

Love seeing your videos most mornings. The weather has been crazy so far in NH, but keep the snow up there north of the notches, no need to share. It's nice seeing you and Gina working with Olivia teaching and sharing with her. She seems happy smart well adjusted girl. Never noticed before she writes lefty. Too bad you didnt have some rubber hose to put over the teeth of the bucket to keep from scraping the rocks up, oh well. Thank you for for sharing with us all your videos.

@@bobross3080 That idiot who made friends with America's perceived enemy of decades and helped Gorbachev usher in Democracy and the Free State Economics of America for the largest population of oppressed humans in history. That idiot who improved the economics of America so much, the unemployment dropped for Blacks, Hispanics and Asians faster than any time in history. Only to have some of his records broken by President Trump. By the way, our family did not vote for Trump in 2016. I was born in 1966 and a Democrat from age 18. I happen to be a retired science and history teacher, so I am obligated to Historical Facts, not a political ideology.
Mikhail Gorbachev encouraged Russian president-elect Vladimir Putin to make some democratic reforms, so the people could be as free as they can, so they can duplicate America's wealth. There is no question to anyone who studied the history of both the USSR and America that America had more opportunity for the poor to work their way out of poverty. If they take advantage of the free education system to learn to read, write and develop skills that lead to a good-paying job. Trump's economy has given more opportunities for the poor to gain higher paying employment than at any time in American history. There is a surplus of over 1 million high paying jobs in the USA and this is one reason Trump wants immigration to be changed to Japan's and other nation's Merritt Based Immigration. I hope I am *painting* an easy to understand view of how reality is.
According to the Washington Post; The *U.S.* now has a record 6.6 million job openings. The United States now has a job opening for every unemployed person in the country, a sign of just how far the nation has turned around from the recession that cost so many American's their jobs nearly a decade ago. Though we did not vote for Trump in 2016, all four of us in our Personal Socialists Home have voted and we will be voting for Trump in 2020.
      Pro-Border Security
      Pro-Law and Order
      Pro-American Farmers
      Pro-American Jobs
      Pro-Legal Migration
      Pro-2nd Amendment
      Pro-1st Amendment
      Pro-Woman work opportunity
      Pro-Man work opportunity
      Pro-Minority Personal Achievement
      Pro-Balanced Trade
      Pro-Religious Freedom
      Pro-Transparency and Speaking his mind
      Pro-Police Officers
      Anti-Corrupt Law Enforcement
      Anti-War
      Anti-Fake News
These were the things each of us spoke of in our meeting to decide our voting. After sitting together and investigating, with the help of God, we see Trump is all these. The idiots appear to know how to fix things and restore Equality of Opportunity, which is better than Equality of Outcome. The Outcome should be based on each person's ability to achieve. That is how Nature works. So we are deplorable for voting for Trump in 2020, but at least we are not 'With Her' or her kind.
BTW, Personal Socialism is nothing like National Socialism. National Socialism/Democratic Socialism is Macro Managing what should be micro Managed. We are against Government controlling the means of Production. Right now in the USA, the means of Production is done by private individuals. American Capitalism is Citizens Controlling the Means Of Production. Personal Socialism is the individuals practicing Socialism in their Personal Lives, without relying on everyone else being forced to do the same. We are four adults who put 100% of our income into one account to pay for everything for ourselves and if we have extra, it is up to us to vote to invest it or give it to the needy. We are not obligated to those we can not help. We are not hoping the government will be the answer to everyone's problems. Opportunity being used to advance one's knowledge and skills to work our their situations on a personal level is what makes for a strong foundation life, and that makes for a strong foundation of a nation. Personal Charity towards others credits us with Righteousness. It also allows the giver to stipulate when or if it will be given to people who will utilize it with Wisdom. Something government fails at over and over.

@@fla-bushcraftprepper941 I couldn't have put it more eloquently!! I'm a registered Republican (raised by two die-hard WV Democrats), but have always voted for the person, not the party. I can't stand Trump the person, but Trump the POTUS and his policies, I fully support.

But I didn't know you almost broke your neck earlier. And I have to agree with you, the walkway looks nice. The only thing I would have done differently, which I know would have been so much harder and taken a lot longer but I wished you would have set the rocks, moss side up. I hated seeing the beauty of the moss laid face down in the mud. Will the moss grow back on the up side now? You are my favorite homesteading video by far. God bless your hard work.

Love your rock wall, reminds me of home. Farmers used them as land markers.

Yay for you Al! You and the girls climbing that wall worried me! Love watching your adventures and hard work on Lumnah Acres. Love to you, Jen and Olivia from NE Missouri!

Enjoying your videos! Thank you everyone who posted here about that dangerous rock wall and Al needing to make a way through it safely! I’ve thought about mentioning it but didn’t and now it has been done and it’s much safer! Great job everyone for encouraging Al to make a walk through! It looks great Al! ❤️👌🏼
