Pitch fork works great to pick up piles of straw and poo. Made it so much easier for me to put it in a wheel barrow and to the compost pile. Loved it when my girls gave me large eggs. The only one to give me double yolks was the Rhode Island Red and she was the smallest of the lot but also the one in charge. Funny how things work.

To make it easier to gather the goat pellets, I'd drill a hole in the corner there, (keeping the plug of wood to plug the hole back up), and sweep the pellets to the hole to drop down in the bucket.
Always enjoy my mornings with Lumnah Acres! God bless yous!

Like the Background Music...Not annoying..Very Pleasant....Sure Miss New England! Reminds me of My Youth so much...Hmmm, this is funny, when I was a teen, my brothers girlfriend asked me, "whats it like to live in 'New England"? My brother and I looked at each other a bit confused, and we smiled at each other looking at the dumb girl, and broke out laughing!! She thought we were laughing at her, (just her ignorance) and she "Blurted OUT" ,"WELL, AT LEAST I'M Not a Foreigner! We were in Rhode Island!! Soooo Funny!!

Very chilly here in northern Minnesota this morning, 38 degrees and I'm sure that there was frost in the low areas and further from the lake. 9:30 am and it's only 50 out, and won't get much warmer today. Had to turn the heat on after 2 days of strong winds and lots of rain. Farming is always a learning experience, whether you grow up doing it or start later, I continue to enjoy watching your family and all the critters.

OOOOH! I’ve never seen a triple either! Well, maybe I have, from the outside, but sold it. None of my customers have said they got one either...😒...darn. I get a huge egg like that almost every day, out of 120-ish hens. I put one in every carton I can fit one...and sometimes they have to be wrapped and handed over, as they’re so big, they won’t fit in the carton! The customers love it & so do their kids, who’ve never seen such a big egg. 😂. We weigh them on an egg scale, and they weigh off the scale, beyond jumbo. I always think it must hurt, too...😬

Regarding staking out the fence... Justin Rhodes counts the total number of panels in his electric fence. Then he calculates how many panels per side... After staking out the correct number of panels, he knows when to turn and make a corner. Easy peasy. (sometimes you can hear him counting as he's pushing the stakes into the ground.) ❤🌅🌵

Another trick for the goat turds is to soak them in a large bucket of water (garbage can sized) for a "tea" to fertilize your garden with. Toss in a mesh bag loaded with weeds and leaves of nutrient mining plants like comfrey and yarrow to "melt" and add more nutrients and minerals to the tea.

You shouldn't have to take down the WHOLE FENCE when you move New Yolk City. Just take 1/2 of it down and swing it around to complete the other 1/2 of the square. That way it's easy to move and your lines will just move easier.

drill about 150 holes into the top of the goat platform all the way across, about half inch, under the platform use plastic board or tin,at 1 corner tuck it in high. opposite end very low, it will allow everything to self collect, maybe a little sweeping at most, and with the chicken coop, use a floor liner. a large tarp, with handles on all 4 corners, when its time to clean up, grab all 4 corners and pull it out the door, if you had a lift wall on the back you could save some time aswell

Poached eggs: add a drop of vinegar to the water when it's boiling and give it a swirl before dropping in the eggs. Keeps the whites from trailing all over the place. And place them on some kitchen paper to absorb all that extra water off before serving.

Put the poached eggs on top of the toast and break the yolks. Wow, that is good eating.

That was really good for a first time making poached eggs. Might I suggest about 1/2 the amount of water. You want just enough to cover the egg when cooking. I found from trial and error that if you carefully strain the eggs in a very fine mesh strainer the really thin watery white drains off and you have less crud floating in the pan. I use a small one egg size and transfer it to a cup like you did to put it in the water. Trust me on this. DO NOT use the strainer to put it in the pan. The whites cook instantly and you have to use a tooth brush to try to remove it from the small holes. I tossed it and got new. It was not pretty. LOL!

Was there a reason you couldn't empty the deep litter from New Yolk City directly into the Kubota bucket? It would save you from having to shovel twice. Maybe a tractor-wide electrified net gate like you have at the goat pen would help?
One idea about poultry netting: If you count poles, you can make perfect squares or rectangles: just make sure each side has the same number of poles as the side across from it. For example with a 100' fence with poles every 10-feet (11 poles): Long sides 4 poles long and short sides 1 pole long = 10 poles + 1 end pole = 11 poles. For 164' long nets, try 8 poles on the long sides and 5 on the short sides.
I can show you the math formula if you'd like.

Now that you are using a bucket for the goat poo, to make it easier on yourself, get a straw broom and cut the handle down, it will work much easier than the brush you are using. :)
As for your chicken fence, have Gina help you to set a perfect square. Next, use a can of spray paint and mark the corners of your fencing. Then whenever you move it and set it up, you will always know where a corner sets and the fence will still meet perfectly every time. :)
