The whole Franna series (I know not yet finished) is the most informative thing I’ve seen in decades, and what an advert for any potential customer. Absolutely brilliant.
I am so happy that you did this series - I cant imagine how much it has cost in time, materials, effort etc. But this build project - I am hooked. Can't wait to see the result.
Wow that's a master class on fabrication, especially starting with your brother's drawing work , then the cutting out and prep work on to building of cab, Kurtis and Karen that was a great video looking forward to the next .😊
Great timelapse work Karen! I love the clock in the background and your pacing is really spot on to hold viewer interest while not sacrificing Kurtis' craftsmanship. 🙂
@@CuttingEdgeEngineering BTW, I'm sure you've thought of this but since you're accelerating video in post, what about overlaying a virtual timer or clock on the original video and accelerating both together so you can use this in situations where physical clock is not possible? I'm usually shocked at how productive and fast Kurtis works and the timer really brings it home.
it's truly admirable how all those parts fit together without any major adjustments. if at all. The measuring and dimensions are top notch. True craftmanship
*Cutting Edge Engineering Australia* Bravo well done, she's gonna be a beauty when you get done. Thank-you both for taking the time to bring us along. GOD Bless. (( The difference is the color, this one is blue, I win, lolooo ))
Greetings from Massachusetts, U.S.A. Love watching your work, Karen - excellent videography and editing, Kurtis - mastery of your craft, and Homeless - for keeping the place safe, and biting a squeaky toy to alert about dangerous - birds? 😎 Watching the beginning of the tacking phase, do we need to take up a collection to provide more vise grips, clamps, etc? I couldn’t stop laughing as more and more devices appeared. Thank you folks for sharing. Thank you for the good humor and the way you demonstrate a lovely working relationship. After 41 years of marriage, we know it takes dedication and devotion. Thanks for letting us come along on this ride. Blessings!!
Well she's coming along nicely guys. Funnily enough about 2 years ago I started using Elliotts big reds after watching you repair a Cat scraper bail arm although I still manage to chew out the finger tips with the angle grinder🤣
I just discovered a new use for my mill hold down sets. 0:40 Your 'spreader bar' was pure genius! And Karen's cinematography was flawless as usual. Thank you both for the early morning treat.
wot no rust.Gonna need a few drain holes . The Aussie wet stuff get,s everywhere .loving every minute .Not a simple yard crane . a work of art . labour of love .definitely a Curtis creation .
That's coming on well!! And Kurtis welds so quickly. 2 hours to weld that out is very impressive. Love the gloves too, but postage is a killer for me on the other side of the world :)
Finally I’m up to date. I think. Good work both of you. Find the channel interesting and the occasional interaction with homeless brings smiles to the face. Look forward to more.😊
This is one of my all-time favourite video series to watch it is amazing the amount of work and fine detail you go into. It is awesome. I can't wait to see more.
Gooooooooooooooooooood morning Aussies, thanks for the upload. Progress is progress and bit by bit it grows to be the rebirth of a banged up piece of machinery. Give Homey a nice bellyrub and see you next week bright and early. Greetings from The Netherlands ✌
Just dawning on me (I'm slow....) you're actually building a crane, Not just re-building one but almost starting from a chassis and building it up from there, all new or reconditioned components, a new cab, new hydraulic system, new electrics, everything ! Cutting Edge Cranes ! It'd be I teresting to hear the cost at the end of the build. You blow my mind with your range of skills and experience, and also the quality of the work you do, best channel on RUclips, no argument 👍
Awesome to have another video in the series Kurt, I have already watched all the others in the series over the past 4 days, keep them up, I do love this series and we need a supercut of this in the future!!!!
@@CuttingEdgeEngineering Karen, thats great to hear, it will be a joy to watch it all, probably gonna be the longest video you have ever put up on the channel :D

0:30 remmuber dear 🌹- do not use music while speeding up the video. loud music is not good for so many people. keep it up both of you 😍🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Cab looks like it's smaller
About time you stopped calling it the Franna crane and start calling the Curtis crane. Not much of it is Franna anymore……..
congrats on the partnership!
Hello good day I'm late and it wouldn't let me comment normally
The whole Franna series (I know not yet finished) is the most informative thing I’ve seen in decades, and what an advert for any potential customer. Absolutely brilliant.
Cheers mate glad you're enjoying it!
@@CuttingEdgeEngineering I can see a conga line of Franna's arriving at the workshop sooner or later... "Hey mate, can ya fix this ol' girl for me?"
I am so happy that you did this series - I cant imagine how much it has cost in time, materials, effort etc. But this build project - I am hooked. Can't wait to see the result.

Beautiful cabin good job guys 👏🏻

Kurtis, Karen this project is really starting to take shape. I am really looking forward to the next instalment. Great job
Bucket seats in a crane ... no expense spared!
I think they should make a second cab for use as a traditional Aussie garden dunny after seeing Kurtis sat on the bucket

Greetings Karen Kurtis & Homey, from a soggy Wellington NZ.

The Franna crane is the content gidt that just keeps on giving.

This guy is amazing and so interesting to watch
Cheers mate appreciate the kind words!
A work of art 👏 (nearly 4 PM Singapore)
Hell of a metal supplier you have, only a few minutes with a grinder on that complex of job. Nobody reversed a bend , great drawings too.

Love your work, Danny from Ireland
When welding sheet to a frame, drop a few washers under the sheet, to act as spacers..
Makes it look a lot more even and neat...
Looks mint
