hey so I just got my 5800x3d it fails to boot I've upgrading my tuf x470 gaming plus to bois version that does support it but I can't seem to find the problem any suggestions. thank you for your time
@@FakedPvp Did you ever get it figured out? This is one of the reasons I haven't pulled the trigger yet from my 3700X. I have a Strix B550-F motherboard.
@@mv223 I ended up having to buy a new motherboard due to the Bois just fucking it self up but all is good now CPU is amazing and working great
@@FakedPvp Dammit man, sorry that happened. Thank you for your quick response. I was on the fence about the 5800x3d and the 5950x, but for my needs the x3d is what i need, especially for the price difference. Thanks again.

Thanks for the help. Made this walk throw really simple and easy to understand.👍👍👍
No problem! 👍
Still works for b550 f gaming. Thank you.
No problem 👍
Awesome video! I currently have a 5700g and I am considering an upgrade to the 5800x3d. Your video answered my questions!
Cheers mate! 🤘
I've had the b550 f gaming wifi motherboard for a few years but upgraded the cpu to the 5800x3D recently. I'm going to try this out tomorrow because for me, my computer is stuck in the bios. I've updated the bios version but it absolutely does not leave the bios menu, no matter how hard I try. It's a constantly loop in the bios but I'll follow your video and hopefully it goes well
Sounds like your boot priority for
Windows hasn't been set but either way you'll need to update the BIOS for the 5800X3D so good luck and hope you figure it out 👍
did u fix im getiing same board and cpu
Thanks for the video. It seems as my bios version was higher than the new CPU version I didn't need to update anything which was good. I just put the CPU in and that was it.
I wonder if you’d have to update to the absolute latest bios or the bios that added 5800x3d support then to the latest bios? cause I know some motherboards are weird like that
Brilliant, easy to follow. Thank you!
No problem! 👍
Clear and concise very helpful thanks
No problem! Cheers mate 👍
Many thanks. I've been trying to figure out the order to go in for installing the CPU. o7
No problem 👍
Good info. Thank you.
No problem! 👍
Thanks for the quick and detailed tutorial, cheers!
I'm going to upgrade from a Ryzen 7 3700x to this Ryzen 7 5800X3D. I do have the Arctic cooler 360mm to cool this CPU down.
Tyvm ! U should get a paycheck from ASUS cause the vids they had for this was no where near as helpful
Cheers mate! Glad you found it useful 👍
you're a legend for this, cheers mate
Thanks! Made this really easy
Great tutorial! Thank you
How does the motherboard flashback feature work for this specific board? I read that you require a cpu to do even a flashback update. Does this mean that I need a compatible cpu in the socket first before I flashback, or can I directly put in the 5800x3d and then flash back?
If your motherboard features USB BIOS flashback then you don't need a CPU to perform the update. Just needs the power supply connected and a USB stick with the BIOS file named as instructed via the manufacturer's support page.
Hello, I have a 5600X + 1070. I want to upgrade to the 7900XT. Will I find a bottleneck with the 5600X? At a display resolution of 1440
I have tomahawk max b450 and change today R5 3600 --> R7 5800X3D and i have newest bios. But it only go bios not in windows... wtf? I tried one different bios update but it also dont work....

where can I get bios update for ryzen 7 5800x3D with rog strix GA15DH?
Hey Jack, I have a ROG Strix B550-A with BIOS 1805. I haven't really updated it since I bought it in early 2021. Are BIOS updates cumulative? Meaning do I only need to update using the latest BIOS, or do I have to download the updates and install them sequentially?
Hey! If you need to update them you can simply update to the latest version 👍 Some motherboard's require you to update to a specific version before another but this is usually specified in the release notes.
@@PCJack Thank you. I just updated it to the latest and it seems to work.
@@ChrisAlbertH47 No problem! Glad it worked 👍
My 5800x3d was working on b450 aorus elite until I upgraded the Ram. The ram was working but the PC would turn on by itself if I tried to shutdown. Then I updated to the latest bios and I can't get it to boot
How did u fix it? I have same issue. It doesnt show any of my ssd‘s in bios.
Im building a am4 because i cant deal with the am5 issues anymore. I bought this motherboard as well as a ryzen 5800x3d if i power it up with the cpu installed will i still be able to update bios using my flashdrive or do i have to have a older cpu installed first
i just switched to the 5800x3d from the 5800x and my cpu will not go past 3400mhz. My motherboard is the B550 UD AC (bios version F3d Y1) and there are no updates for it and I cant figure out if I need to just wait for an update or get a new motherboard.
I need help. I downloaded b550f bios ver 2806. However. When I try to ez flash. It errors. "Selected file is not a proper bios." Wtf. My current bios is original came with board ver 0805.
i have bios 4408 ready to install when i get my 5800x3d, this is the latest bios for my bboard, x570, i assume this would be fine as it came after the required bios for the 5800x3d???
How do you update bios when starting fresh in a new pc build? If the processor isnt working as it needs updating? Dont wanna buy a 5800x3d and mobo and just run into problems getting it all to work. Just want plug and play
Hey do i need to update the bios when i go from a 5600 to 5700x3d on a b550?
let's say i buy a ASUS ROG STRIX B550-f motherboard and i buy a ryzen 9 5900x and i already have a 3800x will i have to update my bios to latest version? or can i just fit everything and be it will be fine
Do I need to update BIOS before i install the R7 5800x3D into my motherboard?
Depending on what BIOS version your motherboard is already on then yes.
I just tried to update my b650 e f and the screen turned black and the computer says it’s on it there’s no signal.
did u fix it?
Can you recommend any motherboard that supports three to four nvme slots?
@PCJack does bios version 2604 work for the 5800X3D
so i power on, everything lights up and fans spin. My motherboard led lights begin the boot loop. White led(4 seconds), yellow led(4 seconds), then the red led comes on but only for a second then it goes back to white led and being looping in that order. My manual says red light indicates CPU but it’s supposed to stay illuminated if there’s a problem with that hardware. I reseated everything, cleared cmos and redid bios flash, still no signal. My monitor works on my laptop, but it takes a few minutes of being plugged in for the image to show. But it works none the less. any ideas? asus b550f wifi ii and 5800x3d. brand new build so ram isn’t dirty and i tried reseating didn’t work
I have the EXACT same problem right now with my B550-i. Did u figure it out?
@@peraspman94 I had a faulty PSU as well as a faulty GPU. I replaced both and system works fine now! If possible, test your psu or gpu in another rig first to see which is the problem. If those aren’t it, then it comes down to your RAM or CPU, if those aren’t it, then you Mobo is the problem. Test things one by one and you’ll find the problem. Goodluck!
Hi, a quick question: I have more up-to-date bios version than the one with the 5800x3d support purpose. Do I still need to downgrade the bios for the cpu? Thnx in advance.
you figure this out yet?
@@Kryptix0III Nope mate. I switched to Intel because that x3d chip was way too hot for my city :)
Are you planning to get a 5800X3D yourself?
Not currently planning on buying one myself yet. However I am looking to potentially upgrade to X670/Ryzen 7000 series next though 🤞
@@PCJack Great, I'll look forward to your videos on the subject. It will be interesting. Zen 4 will be a big leap I'm sure.
@@playcloudpluspc Cheers! There are rumours of official details being revealed at Computer next month so excited to find out more!
Yes. 3700x => 5800x => 5900x => 5800x3d
I have a msi b550 mother board what do I do?
What if I buy the cpu together with the motherboard and the motherboard needs a bios update? How is that handled?
For a bundle there's still not really a guarantee that it will arrive with the most recent BIOS. This motherboard does support BIOS flashback though so you can update it without a compatible CPU.
I just ordered a b550 with the 5800x3d. Since its been 6 months will the bios be ready for 5800x3d? Or am I still gonna have to do a bios update? I'm nervous about doing a bios update with an asus board. I hear they can brick for no reason.
By now it could support it out of the box but at the very least the board supports BIOS flashback to update the BIOS without a CPU installed 👍
Sadly the boards bios was from 2021 but I was able to update the bios without any issues. Thanks
@@Kevinb1821 how did u find out?
my bios updated but crashed/hang on restart due to Aura RGB sync lol.
So.. Did u get it to work or?
@@kaidantienkulkija yes but I had to use windows rollback and its been a little buggy ever since with strange flashes when opening a video. Ill live with it till I feel like clean installing windows.

Is anyone using 5800x3d with an MSI b450 tomahawk max here?
I am trying but it only shows bios on me... I tried newest bios and something else bios update but dont work.. PC shows only bios for meeee.
what if i just built my pc and i don't have another cpu to download the bios i only habe the b550 and the ryzen 7 5800xd can i still launch windows and download the new bios with only the ryzen 7 5800x3d?
If your motherboard supports BIOS flashback then that will allow you to update the BIOS without a CPU installed. If not then you will need a compatible CPU in order to complete the update.
@@PCJack ok nice ty man, would you say there's a good chance that the newest bios is already installed if i bought the motherboard right now in 2023 its a asus b550-f to be exact
@@PCJack i would check it right now but i don't have my power supply yet
