    Chris, great video. Take it from a lifer. The challenges you mention don't ever go away, ever. Also, whether it's 100K or 1Mil, the key is don't bury yourself in obligatory debt. Don't like your gig? Switch. Don't like your tech stack, switch. What makes that easy, is not spending that 200K before you get it. Have to take a hit? No sweat. DO NOT RAISE YOUR LIFESTYLE IN DIRECT PROPORTION TO THE AMOUNT OF MONEY YOU MAKE. YOUR FREEDOM LIES IN BEING FREE. PAY CASH, LIVE FRUGAL. Hell even being frugal with a 6+ figure salary, you can still fix those Porsche tires. The last thing I'll leave on this subject is life is cyclical, burnout comes, burnout goes. Your freedom to make choices is what will keep you sane. Peace.

Money equals a nicer neighborhood. Money equals early retirement. Money equals the ability to support a family. Money equals better schooling for your kids. Money equals better quality of life. Money most certainly does equal happiness. Does it solve every problem? No. But it solves enough problems that you don't have to worry about dying penniless in a ditch somewhere of a disease that could have been treated with better insurance.

      Learn HTML and CSS together as they go hand-in-hand. The former is the easiest while the latter is the most challenging yet the most rewarding because it makes your website beautiful; you're the best Hollywood plastic surgeon! Afterward, learn Javascript. It adds behavior to your website like an image disappearing when you hover the mouse cursor over it.
      JS will be the most difficult to learn because it involves programming. However, you can still be successful just being focused on HTML and CSS. There are demos of devs who have made some pretty hot websites without JS.
      For HTML, focus on learning forms, div, span, and lists.
      For CSS, focus on learning Grid.
      All the best!

      @@swallowedinthesea11 Hey dude I am Learning Web Development since 6 months. kinda okay at it. but I get so demotivated thinking that nobody uses and wants websites these days because most of the consumer people spend their time on popular Social media sites, Everything that has to be built has already been built. and It will be a waste of time learning this thing..

    • @swallowedinthesea11
      @swallowedinthesea11 Год назад +1

      @@zohaib0335 I understand. With things like website builders and social medias, the question of why learn web development pops up. There are some things that those can't do, but you aren't limited by anything except by how much you know and your skills. I don't think Mcdonald's uses Wordpress. They likely build everything from the ground up. We're in the process of learning web development, but we can look up local ma-and-pa businesses and offer our services to them. Like we can politely explain to them that we can improve there websites for modern audiences; I have seen some websites that are quite 1990s. We can do some freelance work, too.
      Although there are website builders, web development is still in. Corporations likely wouldn't use them and small businesses may use them but some will be so inexperienced that results in a terrible website or won't have the time to make a website because they are more focused on their physical business like buying supplies, hiring, etc. They will rely on Facebook, but you can get in touch with them and offer your service. I think first making a draft webpage or two would help them see what they could have.

I just turned 37 today and unhappy with where life and my old job has taken me. I have a bunch of time on my hands right now and started going hard with learning and practicing HTML and some coding for 6+ hours a day.I didn’t really have that much experience before but I’m really motivated because of my daughter, I really want her to be proud of me and I want to be a great provider. I watch videos that get me hella excited then I see some that say “why you shouldn’t get into tech” that totally shit on my mood. I know it’s competitive and my age and experience doesn’t help but I’m not greedy and making millions a year would be great but I’m fine with being where you’re at. I just don’t want to feel like I’m wasting my time getting in a career thats quickly advancing and that’s taking a lot of talented people way younger and more experienced. Hope for a response thanks bro

And that's my problem, I found a very good course with brilliant people as teacher, so I decided to sign up. And rn I'm confused. The course plan is to learn js etc. for 1 year, but I'm not sure, that it is what I want to do. The question is, is that true that after knowing 1 language, next is easier than before? Is any connection between js and cybersecurity etc? If frontend will not be my "love", can I switch branches? Is that wasting a time? what would you guys do? I would be grateful to hear what you can say about my situation Offtop I was thinking too about trying to help people, to prevent disease, during my work, I was thinking about going into AI? Is Js and webdev is good idea to start, during my studies of cybersec? :) Thanks

    hi man, i must agree with all u said. but maybe u should stress that personal life (and changes) is the most difficult part. I do not know how envy is part of life america (i guess u r american cuz of accent). But in my country (Czech Republic) is envy huge problem, it can crush u. Ok, I am C# developer (I am best in WPF / Xamarin => desktop / mobile development). My Family, they r dentists (so they r ok), but my friends (most of them) r common workers and I know that can screw r friendship and even lost my beloved Bára. Cuz as u said, this industry is very competetive and u got to learn and practise to keep ur level. Common worker ends his shift and goes home or to a pub and does not understand this.. because u need to keep up ur skills and u have ur responsibilities even when u end ur shift..For me, that is and was the most difficult part. I love my job and I do not want ruin it. So some people got to go from life. And that is really hard. I do loved them.

    I'm not a wfh person nor a computer programmer. But WFH must be literally the best thing ever for an employee, second to getting a raise. No commute! Gas money and time saved. Work naked, or however you want to dress! Those are already big enough reasons. You don't like your work and non-work place to be the same? Set up your office in a different room. Or if you can't do that? You can go out! Leave your apartment! You have enough time! No more commute.

    As far as I’m concerned, money is a variable that enables happiness to be possible, for ME. Listen, I’m 25, live in Austin, Texas. I have absolutely nothing. No higher education, no car, no house, no assets, no girlfriend (ever), etc. I have a low hour, low paying job, and on my best month ever I would make $1200. All I want is to be able to enjoy my life. To have a functioning car, to be able to travel. And the only thing that can make that happen is more money. Period. After being stuck in poverty for so long, I am 100% certain that money is the solution to happiness for my life, which is and has been hell for a very long time. It’s like I’m in prison, except I’m just not stuck in a cage. That’s it.
