I watched your videos and it motivated me to try with coding, fast forward to now. After securing a developer role at bestbuy and now a developer in a small telecom company, you truly helped me move forward . Thank you Chris for giving me hope!

Awesome video. I am currently learning Coding, and I go to the library to focus on HTML/CSS. I am glad you encourage people to go to the library to learn and practice Coding and to build a portfolio.
I am a UX/UI designer and the job market has been super rough , I decided to stand out I would design to code. There are days i have all the motivation and there are days I just ask myself " what is the point ? "but I jump right back and keep pushing !
Is it worth pursuing education in UI/UX design for 2024? I am considering the ZTM course on that over the web developer courses. My Computer Science degree hasn't gotten me anywhere.
It breaks 😮😢 me up everytime how there's people living in their cars working 3 jobs yet America is the richest damn country in the world 😡💢, i don't wish it for anyone to experience poverty.

I get what you're saying, but on the other side of the coin, you went through everything you went through and look how successful you are now. sure, looking back I'm sure you see some mistakes you may have made, but it still brought you to this point today.
Hey guys, in a crappy situation and would love some advice. In 18 days I will have been job hunting for two years in the data analytics/science and ML fields. I'm 27 now and miserable, stuck in my parents house. I'm so tired, and I feel like at some point I will have to give up and try something else. I think my main thought/question is at what point would you give up - or should I? All I really want is to move out of my parents house. I have the relevant background too, MSc in math, did a bootcamp. On my resume I have 2 years of experience from technically my own company, but I just list myself as a data scientist employee there (make no money of course - mostly failed endeavors). Apparently my local university has a masters in applied computer science where they basically just hand you an internship, so that's an option - but I also hate the thought of going back to school.
The path you have chosen is a long one... Keep going and be extra patient, the company in the right situation will hire you. Till mean time track your metrics when applying for jobs, do projects and get job references. If you change paths you start from day one
@@matthewcaldwell8100 yea I agree, but unfortunately the way this world is rigged they want most professionals to have 4 years of schooling before they get into the market. Especially in data science and ML.

I really don't want to quit because of my kids and myself. but is so hard I'm just thinking about what the best decision is if go to college and take an associate in computer programing & information science or go the self-taught/bootcamp road, the market is so hard that I feel is better to take my associate then trying to get an entry job and keep going to the computer science bachelor but I feel it would take me so long I'm 28 and feel like I'm all ready too late :(

Getting an associates may not be the best route because of the expense. As for the market these things bounced up and down always.
