today I’m grateful for this lovely video popping up on my feed ❤️ it speaks so much to your creativity all the little ways in which you’ve engineered incredibly useful/special art-making spaces out of the randomest of things! thank you for this tour
Thank you so much Alexandra! I do not take this space for granted as I know it is a blessing to have a dedicated space of this size. May I also express my sympathy for the tragic ongoing war that you are experiencing? I'm praying you and your family are safe.
Oh my gosh Kathy you are so kind! I definitely try not to take this space for granted as I realize what a blessing it is. (Raising 5 kids I thought I'd never have a space of my own!)
Oh my gosh! What an amazing room! Great size and full of one of a kind storage items......which I adore! AND.....you have some great tins, suitcases and the blue chippy chest that you keep paint in ... girl, I am drooling! The doors used for tables....yummy...and I love the ones on your walls! Not sure I would ever leave that room Pam. I also collect unique items to re-purpose for storage in my studio. The bonus with the tour is getting to see more of your creations...wow! Thanks so much for sharing your studio. Pretty sure I will watch again! ! Sending hugs❤
Oh, Pam you are so nice! Every time I read a comment from you I feel so encouraged as you make everything sound special and exciting. Here I am just thinking, "Oh, I'll figure out how to use what I have" but you make it seem like the best thing ever! Appreciate your comments!!
This is the 2nd video I’ve seen tonight where people have used their old things in the craft room. I just have a few in mine. And I have old things just sitting upstairs❗️❗️oK I get the hint🤣. Yours is lovely🦋🦋
Well, as for me, in general, I would rather use what I have rather than run out and buy something new. Don't get me wrong I love new but I find it fun to try and use funky old pieces that I have collected over the years. I'm so happy that you are inspired to use some of your old things!! Thanks so much for watching!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE every little thing about your studio!!!! ❤😍 So charming, cozy & oozing creativity! Also really enjoyed the tour, as well as the wide variety of your artwork. Thank you for sharing!
I like how you have arranged the furniture in the middle of the room and you still have stations at every turn. Not a lot people can set things up like that.
Thanks Pam - I loved this walk thru. Your repurposing of vintage pieces creates a soothing, inspirational vibe. The windows on 2 different walls creates some nice natural cross light. What a blessing to have such a nice space🌺
Your space is phenomenal! I love, love, love all the space, light, vintage pieces and repurposed items and last but not least that blue chippy cabinet! Your art desk with that wood surface makes me drool thinking about doing still life photography on it.
Oh, wow--thanks so much! First off I need to confess that my desk is faux wood--literally I put wood-patterned contact paper on the laminate surface. I think it cost $5. I would highly recommend doing that (even to a piece of thin board) if you need to create a still-life photography area. And thanks for noticing the little blue cabinet--I love it too! I found it at a second-use building supply store and initially used it as a display in a retail space.
Hi Pam, i adore your eclectic mix of your storage system. A really interesting art studio, a bit like an Aladins cave in a well organised way. Thanks for the show and tell. 🙂👍👍👍
Super job. Love your work space and all the vintage items. I'm getting ready to rehab the lower level of my house so I can double the size of my studio (yay!). Couple of questions: do you work exclusively on your wall or do you have a rolling easel? And what are you doing for light. It looks like you have great natural light but what about ceiling lights. Thanks in advance
Oh Carol, your new space sounds like it will be amazing!! I do not have an easel as it took up too much space and now I only work on my wall--for large pieces anyway. The lighting in my space is terrible because I have high ceilings and the light casts down with random shadows--as a result I prefer making art during the day. I recently got large studio lights (small rig 120B) for making videos and I'm thinking they will be great for painting at night--although I have not used them in that way yet. Hope that helps and good luck with your remodel!
Thanks Verna - your kind comment helps me see my space through new eyes. I'm always thinking of how it could be different or what I should change rather than just enjoying the space.
I really like the white book cover with the word "begin" on it. Any chance of a tutorial in the future? And....I am excited to see your subscriber numbers knocking on 1000!!!!
I will add your suggestion to my list--thanks! The word "begin" has a lot of meaning for me as I feel like it's a place I get stuck....lots of resistance to just getting started. And, yes it is shocking (and exciting) to see so many subscribers!
Your studio is very inspiring!!! Currently my studio is like a storage room and I've been trying to brainstorm ideas on how to organize and repurpose things I already have to make it functional!! Thanks for sharing!!! 🤗
Thanks so much -- I hope you got some ideas for organizing your own space. I find that I have to physically move things around to figure out what works best which can take a lot of time and effort but in the end, I'm generally happy. I also try to force myself to use what I have so that means a lot of improvising. All that to say I hope you find what works best for you.
Thanks for sharing! It is nice to see another multi media studio packed in. Organized Maximalist! I feel like I might be half way there. You have inspired me to use some unexpected time off to ground my creative soul again. Happy New Year!
oh, thank you for this tour, i LOVE seeing what i call "real" studios, not the ones that look like they have transplanted an art store into a room in their appartment (the vast majority). i have enjoyed seeing your space very much. :)
What an excellent space and very practical by the look of it. I used to have a very big double garage and now I'm in half the size 5m x 6m (still huge for some people!)....and it's too full of bits to be nicely organised. Come the summer there'll be a big clean out. Just for comparison, would you tell me the size of your room? That way I could see what work stations I really should be able to set up nicely once I've done my clean out.
I just measured and it looks like your current garage space is a comparable size to my studio space. My room might be a bit narrower but probably close enough for the sake of comparison. How exciting that you will be setting up a space this summer--sounds like you have lots of room to be creative!
Oh thanks so much Mary. I have been very fortunate to claim this room as my own. I'm not sure of the square footage but it sits on top of our small 2-car garage--not as deep as the garage but as wide. Hope that helps.
I love your art studio. I love all the old doors, containers and suitcases - it has so much character.
Thanks Brian! Sounds like I'm in good company. It is definitely fun to use the odd and the old--I'm a big fan of using what you have.

I really like your style. Nice video
Thanks for letting me know--that means a lot!

A place for everything. I envy your organization. Looks easy to work in this studio.
Thanks, Cathy! I do like to be organized but I will admit that I cleaned everything up before I shot the video--doesn't always look this tidy.
