!st of all thank you for sharing your studio (amazing), 2nd) Thank you for sharing your wisdom, knowledge and tips. I wish I had a teacher like you back in my days. your truly an inspiration
Thanks for sharing Jeff. A studio is also a work of art. My shop is a gallery and studio in one. I love my space.
WOW!!! Wonderful and beautiful artist, great guy. Has it all together! Wish I could. Didn't need the "mammie oak'em" granny bun, his art speaks for itself. Thanks Watts
thank you!
Wow, I really enjoyed this! It's artists like you, who inspire me, and make me realize how beautiful, this artist's gift, my dad gave me, when I was being formed in the womb. was this a run-on sentence?
Amazing studio Jeff!! I dream of a studio like that one. Very cool!
Hey Jeff Watt... the video is very inspirtional to me ...I sow Loard Ganesha idols in your studio...As we know Loard Ganesha is a symbol of Art 🙏🙏 Thanks
I dint know that, like a patron of the arts?

I think it is safe to say that we all just love you.
Greetings from Sweden. Love you're work!
Looks like a really cool art supply store.

I wonder which version of Schmid's Alla Prima book he has?
mamma mia! uah! machine gun speaker! uah! i like you man... uah! ciao from Italia maestro
🤗💕👍
I'm really surprised he's been to belize.
That room contains more than my town local art store jaja
Watta coincidence, my name is Adam Heredia. English is my second language, I speak English Spanish, Italian and French. But that’s not here nor there.
Projectors: It’s a tool. An expedient tool. I’ve seen novice’s use a projector and the results were just as you’d expect a novice would do. If you don’t know, you don’t know. No matter what tool you use.
and I thought I HAVE TOO MANY BRUSHES....phew...no more psychiatric visits for me.
wow cluttered room , i thought i was a hoarder :)
What is that drawing chair he uses? Looks like a specialized art horse/donkey bench. If anyone has a link to where to get one, it would be greatly appreciated!
Blick sells those - just search their website for drawing horse or drawing bench.
They were popular... saves posture.
Good lord Jeff is such an inspiration. Even when he's just doing his MTV's Cribs
i can totally relate on the books. ebooks are great but not the same as the physical
Thank you so much Jeff for giving us a studio tour! Your words and works are always so inspirational! 🙏🙏🙏
This is truly inspiring.
Can you show all that drawings in the drawer asap? Tnx...,☺️
Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us. I don't know about anyone else but I was totally moved with inspiration and admiration. I also have over 2000 books in my possession and now feel I am not alone with my passion for art books. These videos are such a gift for us aspiring artists. I am so grateful. Don't know if this is politically correct.. but God Bless You for sharing your enthusiasm and your personal space!!!
In regards to that "tracing" comment, even Sargent did that kind of thing to scale his work. It would be foolish not to.
'Tracing is cheating' for artists is like saying 'calculators are cheating' for theoretical physicists..
3:23 hey the proko skull!
i saw that too :D
Sure is!
and I thought(WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I POP MY GLOGS ))))with all my stuff,,,,, .a few years ago a ladies father died ,we had a van and loaded his stuff up ,,took it all to the art club and had a Sunday sale
This was amazing. Very inspiring, especially ypur library of books.
Enjoyed this. Great artist, great art, books, and positive encouragement!
I find the intro so cool and extremely simple, it is not overdone and looks like it introduces a master artist. I actually played it over a couple of times. Hahaha.
Inspiring guy. I really enjoy seeing different artists studios and the books they read.
Thanks so much for this video, very inspirational. Love surrounding my easels with the things I love...just have to fight the clutter on a daily basis.
Thank-you for sharing this awesome workspace! If I could go back 30 years I'd do so many things differently with one being proper training to improve my skills. So much inspiration in this video.
PLEASE. Do not add background to that painting. It is perfect as is. Books are life. Wish I had room in my studio area for my books. Love the papers rack.
Great video... but who is the guy breathing through his nose into my ear? Make him stop.
Does anyone know the big art desk he's using? The last one in the video for sketchbooks and inking where he talks about natural light.
What an awesome studio including the amazing book collection 👍🏻
Love the collection of books. I'm about halfway there myself. I love to go to used bookstores to find my books rather than buying from Amazon.
You’re right: Envy eats away at our souls. One of the “deadly sins”. I always take the idea that, I’m the one benefitting from being around someone who has it all together. But, I have experienced the kind of envy that is so destructive from a “best friend”. It wasn’t pretty to be around someone who’s always “checking out your stuff”, rather than being a true friend. You are not the stuff that you’ve accumulated over the years. It is merely a product of your productivity. Very nice studio! “I sure wish mine was that nice !”……….Just joking, of course.
The space is very busy. in my opinion, a person does not need so many things. I would suffocate in such an environment.
As long as your studio does not contain wide windows through which natural light can enter, it is considered to be of no value at all. Daylight is very necessary for the studio, otherwise it is considered a dark cave.
That V neck is a strong flex.
I love nerdy old books as well. I have a great many obscure oddities when it comes to art books, but I can't stand to even think about getting rid of them. 😊
Jeff, you continue to be an inspiration. It's all thanks to you I have this hobby of drawing and painting
Just recently got involved with Watts and I must say it is a very inspiring program. And like Jeff, I love the old books. Both searching them out and then finally placing them in a collection. It's an art form unto itself.
That's not a studio..it's basically all I need to have till old age comes and claims me..
So great to see this. Inspiring to say the least! Loving the the salt lamps around the place ;)
I wish I could attend here. This is definitely the top atelier of the US and of the world!
Hi Jeff, I’m new to the channel! Where can I find a paper organiser like the one you have? Thanks!
Is your stuff insured?... photo documented?
Such an amazing studio! Thank you so much for sharing!!! was especially touched to see the portraits of Guruji Paramahansa Yogananda on the table)))
I practically slept with Bernie Wrightson: A Look Back under my pillow back in the 90's. I recognize that spine anywhere!
Mixing Fechin and Tony Roberts. Artists are so counter intuitive. 😂
Excellent tour. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Oh, and thanks for showing your travel map. You need to go to Australia and New Zealand!
Great studio tour! Thank you for sharing!!
Wow, you're really good. I love your studio and those books!!
It is a nightmare to do the cleaning in this studio. And it is a horror movie when you have to move to another place
Absolutely fascinating. Great set up ❤ it
Thank's for sharing. I love seeing another artist studio
Cool Area To Promote The Past, For One Thing.

I would love to have a studio like that.

way too organised :-)
I love watching studio tours! yours is great
meditation shrine is SWEET
watching this gets me both really excited; and really sad too. Like so many would-be Illustrators/Artists, this studio really embodies what I used to dream of attaining someday: but now I realise that it is too late for me to ever know what having a space like this to work in; would feel like. You have to EARN a studio like this, but so many of us get 'blown-off' the path along the way, and end up stopping drawing for some reason or another (usually from having sub-standard training and teaching in the first place) - I did - and now I'll never have the tower of drawers filled with my back-catalogue of works. I am bouyed though at seeing that at least SOMEONE out there has managed to keep it up over the long years - to persevere and reach those heights of skill and experience: I wish I'd had Jeff Watts as my teacher!!!
Ur comment motivated me to start drawing again! Thanks!!!
Great
Awesome
Creative studio.
