This song is dedicated to (and about) my father, Eugene Frazer, who passed unexpectedly on Sunday, July 28th, 2013. We was found on Monday, July 29th, alone on his bathroom floor when my cousin checked on him at my brother's request.
While I wasn't there at the time of his passing, I can imagine what his thoughts were on the days leading up to Sunday, the 28th. We (close family members) believe he knew he was sick, but he did not tell anyone. News of his untimely passing was a shock to us all.
My father was a God fearing man and a lover of all music. While I took some creative liberties with the songs "that spoke to" my father, the rest of the lyrics are meant to convey what his final thoughts and words "most likely" were. For instance, he hadn't seen, or talked to his eldest son for over 17 years. I truly believe one of his final thoughts would have been for his estranged son's health, happiness and mutual forgiveness of any past transgressions between the two of them.
