Idk if someone already said it, but Jacoby Shaddix did both the skit and the entirety of the final chorus. So the cleans for the last 30 seconds or so are all Jacoby, it's just that he and Spencer sound exactly the same lmao

I thought they were both singing, cause it sounded like they were both singing, but I suppose it is just Jacoby. I only just now started hearing it.
I thought both Jacoby and Spencer did the last chorus together.

I was also really confused at the last chorus, but apparently Jacoby sang the WHOLE LAST CHORUS. Spence and him seem to have a very similar Voice.

You guys should give “Communion of the Cursed” a try by them, amazing song, or “Stabbing in The Dark”
communion of the cursed was the first one i heard and it hooked me up instantly, heavvy, melodic, well written, incredible music in general
Id also suggest Your Numbers Up, if they didn't want to blur anything
My personal favorite is Me, Myself & Hyde, but Communion of the Cursed is definitely up your alley

I haven't watched any horror movies referenced in their last album and you can still enjoy the music without even knowing what they are referencing imo. That's why I like them, the music can still be great if you just like their music and not the movies.

Yes so Ice Nine Kills is coming out with a sequel to their album "The Silver Scream" and its called "The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood" the full thing is being released on I believe Oct. 15th or 18th. But they're releasing a new song on the ninth until then. I think it fits in with what the merch site for this album is called, Nightmare On The Ninth. So like August 9th, September 9th, and October 9th, and then the full album. (I listen to the band when I sleep and when I'm awake so when you guys said you wouldn't listen to it like all the time I laughed a little.)
Me too, when they both said "it's not something I'd listen to all the time" I was shocked, it's 7:18am here and I was just blaring assault and batteries making my breakfast hahaha

Spencer has such a good vocal tone, I went in not expecting to like it but its a solid song, the video production was awesome.
his voice somehow shined here more than on any other song from ink and i heard them all infinite times lol
@@Ottoni174 I believe that Spencer's vocals stand out more now because Justin Deblieck (Lead Guitar & Harsh vocals) is no longer with the band. Without his screams in harmony with Spencer, Spencers vocals stand out a lot more.

I just recently watched American Psycho and within a few days they dropped this music video. I was so happy with how much they pulled from the movie itself. I agree with the comment about Jacoby's voice not standing out as much as I expected it would. It was still really cool seeing this collab.
Fair reaction! Silver Scream came out in 2018, which is all based on horror films. They're making a follow-up to that which is out in October; Silver Scream 2 (though i think it's actually going to be titled 'Welcome to Horrorwood') - this is the first single from that.

I totally agree with you guys on listening to them and not feeling it… that is until you see them live. Ice Nine Kills live is AMAZING and listening to every song after that is an experience.
This is the song that got me into INK. I've been addicted ever since. I don't even like horror movies but their music is just so damn good.

Their Silver Scream album is really good. I really never listened to them before that but I really enjoyed that album. Anyways these guys make me think of .... if Panic At A Disco was heavy, this is what they would sound like.
If you like the movie American psycho and think it was disturbing, read the book. It is so good and 100x more disturbing
Stabbing in the dark is an oldy but a goody to show their musical prowess and proper heaviness!
That is not an "oldy" lol. That was their last album. The Predator Becomes The Prey and Safe Is Just The Shadow is their old stuff. It's all so much better than the new horror gimmick.

I love their song “Grave Mistake”! The video is long with a lot of non-music bits, but the song is great. It’s in regards to The Crow and goes with the story line of The Silver Scream. I think y’all might like it if you haven’t already checked it out. There isn’t screaming in the song and his vocals are 🔥 🔥
All of Silver Scream 1 was amazing and about horror. Well worth the reaction of them, if not just a watch. Definitely worth watching the music videos in order. The album is basically a movie.

Y'all honestly need to check out their older stuff, way more metalcore oriented and not so much theatrical. I feel you guys would love The Plot Sickens, Let Bury The Hatchet In Your Head, or The Power In Belief by them!

If you guys want my honest opinion, their older stuff is so much better than the horror gimmick they do now. You guys should check out "The Power In Belief" by them. Or "The Coffin Is Moving" as well.
yeah i am the same. i really loved the song and the music video, the music video is very damn cool, but listening to the song along i dont think i would listen to it stand alone. hahahha the grenade video at the end is hilarious btw. and american psycho is such a great movie. absolutely chaotic and intense but great!
Tbf only their last album was all about horror films. The album before that was all based on novels and before that they were more of a post-hardcore band lol

you should listen to "A Grave Mistake" or The American Nightmare". But maybe you should just listen to the audio, because these videos are more like short films. They have talking and plots in it that aren't included in the audios.
You have to do The Silver Scream series. I didn't really "get" INK until I saw that.
One detail I like about the song is that the Chorus perfectly sums up the plot of the American Psycho book and film: Patrick Bateman, the villain protagonist, is a man hellbent on gaining infamy and recognition as New York's most fiendish serial killer, and throughout the story he continually commits more unspeakable acts of violence and debauchery in the hopes of gaining it. However, no matter how hard he tries, his comeuppance and fame always elude him, and will continue to do so, leading to an endless cycle from which there's no escape.
"To hell with good intentions,
To hell is where I'll go,
But the devil makes exceptions
for All-American psychos..."
P.S. Is American Psycho a recommended book? The main thing I know about it is that there's a part where Patrick stops narrating the story to give a critique of the work of Huey Louis and The News.

Hip to be squared by Huey lewis Is as far as I can remember the track that was playing in the movie , when he killed Paul ( played by Jared Leto ) Spencer could deff play the role , if there was ever to make a remake or sequel ! AAAHH the American Psycho reference is SICK! What a movie, what a cool song; I enjoyed it a lot.
Now, speaking bout films, the begging makes me think of The nightmare before Christmas "Jack's lament" and I love it.
I think I'd like to listen to this single many other times but only if the recorded version for the platforms sounds better than this ones: the voices seam to be too launder in comparison with the instruments. Did it happen only to me?
Spoiler alert: I haven't read yet any explanation or essays about the movie. What's your opinion on it? Why Patrick has this kinda hallucinations and dissociations? I don't think he was schizophrenic.

If you want an INK song that isn’t themed around anything, I would recommend Let’s Bury the Hatchet…. in Your Head. A much more typical metalcore tune without the theatricality.

I am fan of theirs, particularly the last couple of albums. This song really works as a whole piece, I'm not sure how much replay value it'll have as a pure audio track vs. some of their other material. As good a reference as the Huey Lewis send up bit is, it's not going to be quite so fun on listen 10 or 20.
A year later I tend to disagree haha, the Huey Lewis part is still fun for sure =D

Hard question! I really love classic slashers like Halloween and Friday the 13th, the first child’s play and i love possession films. The exorcist is amazing. I quite like Japanese horror too like the grudge, the eye, the ring. I was really impressed with the IT remakes. How about you?

Never heard of this band before (only discovered them today), and couldn't shake the strong "Panic At The Disco"/Brenden Urie style vocals. Not that it's a bad thing at all.
It appears that this band is incredibly intelligent and meticulous, as the attention to detail, and how they combine the lyrics, the bridges and the breakdowns, it's genius.
But just like with PATD, you really have to be in a specific mood to listen to them. A whole album might be a hard listen, but this track popping up on a shuffle with other stuff, absolute masterpiece!
