Mike was surprised with Emiliys vocal runs in the last chorus. The turn he did and looked at Emily was everything. The bands happy! I’m happy!!
The symbolism in each and every performance that she’s stepping in and not replacing Chester is brilliant. It’s so subtle but the entire band have been so respectful of it in light of all the unwarranted backlash. And I must say, the welcoming cheer when Emily started was so nice and would have done her the world of good. She’s been excellent with probably the hardest job in music for the last 15-20 years

I can't explain why while seeing the band performing live in any form (studio, concert, etc.) I feel tears forming in my eyes. Every. Fucking. Time. I'm thrilled they are back, I haven't seen Mike so happy in years, which gives me everything. LP's music is a therapy for broken, scared, struggling, lost, and this band can unite the generations.
