I understand that some fans will not accept a new vocalist, due to obvious emotional and affective ties with Chester Bennington at some significant time in their lives, but the band and the musicians need to continue, work, live... And in that sense, the band members had a lot of respect for the legacy of Chester and Linkin Park throughout the process of waiting to this moment, to choose the new vocalist and compose the new repertoire for the new album. That said, I'm not a passionate fan of Linkin Park, but I really like 2 or 3 albums, I'm liking what I've heard in terms of music and the care that Emily Armstrong takes with each song and the band's history. Having said that (a long prologue), Beth, I really admire your work, your way of expressing yourself and explaining in detail and in a technical way, without seeming too technical and without getting boring, which many of us don't realize when listening to a song . I'm Brazilian and if I come to Brazil, I would like to meet you and, who knows, we can record a music video together. If you want to talk about doing this remotely, we can think about something like that, too. Once again, congratulations on your work and success always!
I'm definitely adding my name to the list of people recommending their second single, Heavy Is The Crown; I think it's better than Emptiness Machine. And their official live performance footage of it is from several more concerts into her new position, so she's far less anxious. (Definitely either react to the studio audio version or the live version; the official music video, collaborated with League of Legends, has a brief video-related interruption right after the bridge that might be annoying to you... it is to me 😅)
She had not gotten over it yet before the live Worlds performance. I gave her until that one to clean it up after listening to this disappointment, since it was certainly going to be intimidating.
I love this song and Emily fits so well with the group. I hope she keeps working out. You could tell she was nervous in this concert. She has her own style. You can tell she's not to replace Chester but it's good that she has a clean scream.
Too bad most of LP's songs are about mental illness and Emily, being a scientologist, thinks mental illness is not a real thing... Kind of a big slap in the face to Chester legacy considering how important mental health and combating mental illness was to him. I'm very disappointed in LP for crapping all over Chester's legacy with a cult member
If possible, react to “Heavy is the crown” And talking about Brazilian Singers, have you ever reacted to Djavan? If not, please listen to his song: Oceano. By the way i Love your reactions.
This song, for me, it's like "I want you to meet someone" for someone who's facing widowhood. Shinoda creates the meeting with careness and Emily appears bringing a feeling of a new arch to someone who needs a new partner. I'm just very touched with this song. PS: WE NEED TO BRING BACK CHESTER'S VOICE IN SOME PERFORMANCE MAKING A DUO WITH EMILY THROUGH A.I. IT WOULD BE THE LP'S MAGNUM OPUS.
Hi Beth, I love your reactions. I think you should react to 'Negra murguera - Milo J feat. Agarrate Catalina (con Mex Urtizberea) | Sesiones ¡FA!'. It's a live version Argentinian song that mix a lot of rhythms and amazing vocals. Milo J is a seventeen yo Argentinian singer, and he is joined by Agarrate Catalina, an Uruguayan murga. It's an amazing song, originally from a group called Bersuit Vergarabat in the 2000s.
Beth you are amazing! I love, love this version of Linkin Park, Emily`s voice and energy is fire, I`ve listened to her since Dead Sara. I think it`s totally fine to continue as Linkin Park with a new singer. The connection she has to the Danny Masterson trial is not ok (and the scientology ofc), which I actually didn`t now about until now...I`m a firm believer of not separating the art from the artist, they exist not in a vacuum but together and you can choose how you interact and talk about that, not making excuses and at the same time be able to enjoy the music.
I would really like to hear your thoughts on some of the classic Linkin Park stuff she performed on that first live stream, especially some of the heavier bits like One Step Closer and particularly Faint. A lot of people in the comments were...concerned...or perhaps a little smug (as in look at her, she can't sing) with some of her voice cracking. But after looking at some Dead Sara stuff, it seems to me like that's just how her voice works, with emotions and nerves piled on top. She certainly hasn't slowed down any on the recent live shows. Would really like a professional's opinion on it. Every other vocal expert I've seen on it has either done the studio version or the live of Emptiness Machine, which was the first song of the set with her fresh.
Regardless if she got better, she shit the bed for that first performance and a half dozen afterwards. That basic lack of acknowledgement of the truth is what continues to alienate millions of fans. Tell it like it was, then tell it like it is, and you will draw more ppl into the fold.

Kind of a big slap in the face to Chester legacy considering how important mental health and combating mental illness was to him. I'm very disappointed in LP for crapping all over Chester's legacy with a cult member
If possible, react to “Heavy is the crown”
And talking about Brazilian Singers, have you ever reacted to Djavan? If not, please listen to his song: Oceano.
By the way i Love your reactions.
Love it!
Like your LP Fable!
If you're enjoying this type of music I suggest listening too Future Palace, recently saw them live and they were amazing
Soooo good 🔥
I am in love now.
You should check out Maria Brink. The queen of vocal fry.
So... You might want to hear her sing Faint or Bleed It Out
I love your interpretation of this! It's exactly how I feel. I can not get this song out my head and I'm really looking forward to the album.
1:42 RIGHT HERE 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ⚡️
Él vídeo me fue entretenido me gustó su energía de la cantante bien Beth 👏👏🍀🍀
I think she amazing, obvs never replace Chester but she just amazing, I do didn’t know they where back only when my sister told me 😊
This song, for me, it's like "I want you to meet someone" for someone who's facing widowhood.
HARD no on the AI stuff, let Chester rest, dude.
emily is so good.
Hello, I’m Cecilia. Nice to meet you!
That there made me smile
Nice to hear someone say boots properly. :-D
If you like women that have insane vocal range and control, you gotta check out In This Moment
You look like an french actress: Laure Calamy including your moves and your mimickings
You REALLY should react to any of Adrienne Cowan's songs.
If you liked Emily, Adrienne will really blow your mind.
