This became my favorite amp. I had the lt25, but sold it to get a spark...... I returned the spark after 3 days because the cleans on it where horrible. When I saw this for sale I grabed it inmediatly and it is now my desktop amp. I only have 2 problems with it, first is that it uses micro usb instead of usb c, and the fact that it has a small headphone jack instead of the larger one. It would be great if I could use a mono instrument cable to conect the amp to my mixer or audio interface to record, play live, and or stream. Other than that, this is my favorite modeler amp.
@@erichauser725 you can buy the GTX , more amps etc and Bluetooth in it , don’t know about looper
@@alexdenton6586 gtx has a looper but it’s too big… I want this size of a GTX.. boss made an even smaller one with more features… too bad cause I wanted a fender.
@@financialsurvival9348 the GTX sound good and have everything most people need inside
Hey German, is it better than the LT25 or not?
@@alexdenton6586gtx twice the price
I must say, the original G-DEC is easier to manipulate and sounds are still current and terrific. I play through a 12" Peavey cab at gigs and use a 10" fender cab at studio. Over 600 4 and five dub songs so far.
Pick one up used for 150- 225 bucks.
The G-Dec also has the best, easiest tuner I have ever found.
I'm 72 yrs young and have two rooms of high end guitars and amps from 1964 to date. Hard to believe that a G-Dec could be this good.
Anyway, this will be a very desirable amp too. Blue Tooth is a real gain. Grab one!
I sold my G-DEC years ago as far too harsh sounding
What song is being played in the conclusion? It’s so pretty! 5:48
I love it, just one thing, why not usb-c?
I wish my Lt50 had usbc
What difference would it make other than the convenience of already having a bunch of USB C cables laying around? Serious question. A lot of people make this comment and I’m wondering if there is any sonic benefits.
@@OldeDog_NewTricks It is nice to have one cable out in my desk and also at first it didn't seem like a big deal but for me the convenience to be able to plug it in either way is a big deal. I mean these are small things I agree.
@@OldeDog_NewTricksusb c has faster data transfer and also doesn’t look hideous like usb 2.0
Good point.
Does anyone else wonder why these amp reviews are always geared towards classic rock players? Those guys wouldn't touch this digital tech with a 10 foot pole. Meanwhile I'm always sitting here wondering what does it sound like with high output humbuckers and modern riffs?
Exactly and a classic rock tone is the easiest to dial in, almost every amp with a gain knob can do it. We want to hear more complex tones, like a high gain metal tone, math rock tone, fat blues tone everything except these basic classic rock tones
"Modern riffs"? I get your point, but you should know there are hundreds of barely known guitarists from 20 years ago that sound more "modern" than anything from commercial music today. Just because we live in a time of overly compartmentalized genres, doesn't mean people weren't playing what you consider modern today, 20, even 30 years ago. In fact that's often how it works; a guitarist today is heavily influenced by some obscure artist of yesteryear, & then becomes popular playing "modern riffs" 😉
@@JeighNeither Give me an example
Let's say, someone feom the 60s or 70s that does pendulum picking, alternate picking, chugs, breakdowns etc.
@@xMyNameisJames88 You need to work on your math first...
Pendulum picking, do you mean sweep picking? Alternate picking really? Thats pretty basic. I said 20 even 30 years ago... thats 2002 & 1992 🙄
Are you maybe talking about Troy Grady snap picking? He's from the 80s! And Van Halen was released in 1978, that's 45 years ago. Also, check out Chet Atkins.
Sounds 1000 times better than the Yamaha THR 30 II, which I don't understand why everybody raves about, and the effects are crap. This costs half the price. Ok no battery nor bluetooth, but what's important is portability and sound..
I have this + a Jazzmaster Acoustasonic and it's a wonderful pair! I spend hours cycling through all the different sounds on the guitar and amp!!
I grabbed one today cause I work at a music store and get a decent discount 🤣 Honestly it is as good as you are gonna get at the price range for a desktop stereo amp. Easy to use and easy to dial in great usable tones. Great little home practise and road travel amp.
hey! What do you think sounds better, this or the LT25 which has 1 8 inch speaker? Thanks!
@@wesleydevries7415 honestly the sound that comes out of that little LT 40 is the winner to my ear
@@ShredRexGuitar Thanks, you mean the LT40s or GT40?
@@wesleydevries7415 LT40
@@ShredRexGuitar I assume you mean the LT40S (the one of the video), thanks! Have you heard the LT40S and LT25 side by side? If so, in what ways does the sound of the LT40S differ from that of the LT25? Thanks a lot, I'm almost gonna buy one of these two!
Why don't they ever bring up information about drum machines, that's one reason I haven't bought one yet. They need to let us people know, I play alone most of the time so it would be nice to have a drummer.
Any amp marketed as a “practice amp” should have a built in looper! Real practice tools at your disposal. Maybe even simple beats in the app. That would be useful.
what setting was that on the last sound of the saving presets section?
sounded very dreamy
That's the name in the amp for that equalization "dreamy", by the way, do you know the name of that last song?
@fender what is the last song that Mason stoops is playing? It's so soothing
What foot switch is compatible with the Mustang lt40s?
Really Cool Amp - Does it have reverb . ? Thank You
I like that the Spark has Bass, Mid, and Treble vs only Bass and Treble on the 40s. I think you can compensate for this in the Fender tone app but it would have been nice to have it on the hardware like the Spark. Also why no usb-c in 2022? But this looks to be a great amp!
for the price, feature, and sound...this is better than katana or any modeling amps out there...satisfyingly loud, fender clean or metal dirty...just need a 4 button footswitch and your are all set...I just wish it has a line out for daisy chaining or run it in wide stereo
No middle?
Yes but you have to delve into the pesky menu (I hate menus) to access it.
I bought this LT40S over the LT25, sounds better in my opinion. Great practice amp. I use my PC to make alll my presets for various genres. Just a suggestion Fender... In the next iteration skip the foot switch it's pointless as it can only go back and forth two presets marked in advance for rhythm and lead. Would have been 1000x more useful to instead have a FX Loop for an external Fender sold separately or 3rd part Looper pedal.
using an amp like that with bluetooth as a bluetooth speak AND a guitar amp at once is crucial, sadly you can‘t do that. The yamaha thr-10II has an app for the presets etc; no cables needed!
Except the THR10ii it will die during the firmware update. Mine did, so I purchased the LT40s instead.
That’s a $500 amp, that’s not even the same weight class lol
No bluetooth?
No
The LT series unfortunately doesn't have Bluetooth, I found that out trying to download newer sounds. The GT and Rumble series does have Bluetooth but it's unfortunate that the LT doesn't
Yep 👍
How’s sound quality compared to lt25? I’ve got an LT and want to upgrade because the LT sounds really boxy
do you know how it is compared to the lt25 now?
someone please tell me the song at the end
Looks just like the GT40 on my desk. God I wish I never bought that amp. I should have gotten the 100. The top of my regret list.
@@erichauser725 A few reasons. The boxy sound, mic'ing it is a pain. The lack of inputs and pedal usage. I really hate that I can't use my laptop to use fender tone either, I don't know why they made it that way for that series. It does have cool features and I have created some fun sounds but overall I just think I wouldn't deal with most of the issues I face if I got an LT or even the GT100. The sound out of the 40 just isn't as appealing as I want it to be.
@@EremEdition the gtx's are good i have a gtx50 and its great i recommend it
When will there a be a new great full Tube Amp again of Fender.
In Germany we got atm really problems to buy a Fender Tube Amp, we have to wait a lot of Months.
As a beginner looking to practice at home and planning to use headphones with it once in a while would you guys recommend the lt25 or this lt40s? Like what would be the better of the 2 for just plugging in and playing. Wouldn't mind being able to have a backing track to play with either idk of either model is capable of that or not.
If you get the 40 you can potentially use it live
Forget playing live with most 25 w amps
what’s the name of the song of start of conclusion
What are the benefits of the lt40 over the lt25? Do they use the same engine?
It’s the speakers. LT40 is a 40 watt and LT25 is a 25 watt hence the name. Get the 40. 25 is too small.
When you turn that dial how many preset sounds are there...........Does it go from 1 to 30 or 1 to 60 when you turn that dial...........Thanks.
Good vid, but I'm still not clear on what the "tap" button does...
It does sound nice. Got a LT-25.
Hi , very nice tool. The AUX jack is stereo , consider the unit have 2 speakers ?
Fender: “This can keep 30 factory presets.”
Me: **Looks to my THR10 that can only keep 5 presets** 😠
Eh, the THRs sound good.
check out the THR30II
@@aperezdeal Agree with you. i have one and this Fender doesn't do much for me.
Can someone tell me the name of that last song pls?
I like first look 🎉
Is there a built in looper?
Ah yes, the Fender PositiveGrid Spark
idk whats the rage with the spark.. the speaker on it suck ass..
@@coolboy-qc4eb sucks big time Lucy..sounds like a shitty mall speaker from the arcade. Wouldn't give bubbles one.
@@coolboy-qc4eb how is it compaired to this though? Is this better?

It’s not a Positive Grid Spark!
@@FlyingCircusAct lol
The chromatic pitch shifter is a bit weird sometimes. It can take a longggggg time to get the exact set you want for the pitch change. The other one is great. But only has a few pitch options.
Are those turning knobs just plastic or silicon covered? Thanks
Cool, but when is it gonna get updates similar to the GT?
When modifying the amp values, how do you tweak the "MIDDLE" EQ value when there is not middle knob, only treble and bass?
Also, when you SAVE AS a preset, how do you name it using just the knobs and buttons on the amp?
When making a sound if you click the upper button you can change the sound of the amp. There it has middle treble and bass
Use the pc software to get the most out of it
I purchased one of these as a substitute for my Blackstar BEAM (which is currently in transit). I got the LT40S on sale for $199 + tax and overall I like it. But it is missing Bluetooth. I am forced to use an aux cable if I want to play along with stuff from my laptop. I would have been happy to pay $299 for a rechargeable battery version with Bluetooth audio receiving capability (if Fender would like to consider a future upgraded version)! LOL
This or blackstar id core 20?
which footswitch do you recommend for this amp???
Affordables a funny name for it
Does anyone know what kind of footswitch is compatible with this?
Is it portable with a chargeable battery or do you always have to plug it in..it would be nice to charge it and play anywhere anytime
Plug
Make it Bluetooth and make it compatible to hooking up to a computer or interface to record of it
It does hook up the computer to record. But yeah no Bluetooth. Returning mine for a spark
How to bypass?
How is this different to the loathed GT40?
the LT series are lite versions of the mustang u can only use one of every type of FX(for example u cant put 2 modulations or 2 delays) also u cannot modify the signal path order
@@andreymora710Appreciate that info. What about sound though - are the speakers any better?
Does this Amp has Bluetooth connection? I am having trouble connecting to the fender tone app. Anyone can help? Thanks.
No Blutooth you has to use the computer
does this also have wifi and bluetooth
I want to play a backing track thru the amp while I play either rhythm or lead, and this doesn't do that. And don't tell me I can spend $,$$$ and do that.
on Amazon u can buy a portable , chargeable Bluetooth reciver-adapter that you put in this aux port and then send your signal from a phone or tablet via Bluetooth to the receiver-adapter ....they run now for around $20-$25(cheap ones even under $15!) ....they charge and last for 8 hrs easily too(if u explore and find a good one)........its what iv always done when a pc of gear isn't Bluetooth capable but has an aux port ....the phone or tablet sets the volume going in though.........works pretty well actually.....hope this helps.
No Bluetooth for headphones?
I added the two speakers to my mustang V head when I got It years ago. Maybe I shouldn't have posted the pics on the forum. Was I ahead of my time?
Nope Mr. George. I also have the V & the stereo is my main reason for holding on to it for years. It's great with 12 inche speakers.
@@markcunningham6086 Hi Mark, I mean speakers inside the head. I usually connect 2 4x12 cabs and certainly it's impressive.
Lack of bluetooth is a deal breaker for me. AUX port? Most cellphones don't even have headphone jacks anymore, so not including the ability to connect to phones/tablets via bluetooth is a huge oversight, IMO.
Questions for the fender social media person. This amp is stereo. So you didn't mic is stereo? I'm confused why you didn't. Oversight? I think you should redo this demo and mic it different obviously.
Crazy late edit, but search on here for this guy in the video. Mason Stoops is a monster studio player.
I'll never understand why anyone would make a "practice amp" in 2023 that doesn't have a looper built-in and a rechargeable battery pack. How complicated could that be?
Молодцы!
Ага
I wish.
wth micro usb? why not type c? bruh
The dirt on this sounds horrific. The clean & effects suite sounds fantastic. Go figure, but I wish they wouldn't have killed the Champ X2 for this, they could have both existed since one is tube, but they wanna make as many $'s as possible, & noobs will eat this up. Some pros too probably.
The USB jack doesn't support recording, I know cause I used to have a mustang lt50 and that's a big lie
I thought that too but you have to activate it in your sound settings to make it work
😍😍😍
Fender you guys should do a showcase on Ernie Isley and his ZEAL Stratocaster!
Sounds very boxy
Sounds kinda bad, the new BOSS dual cube sounds better imo
"color" display lol
Yeah this thing sounds really bad.
I disagreed until I heard the high gain tone at the end… awful
I can't understand why Fender is not equal to or more than the sparks 40 watt amp, Fender sound effects suck, the Sparks 40 amp will blow you out of the water, Fender should have at least the same sound effects options as the Spark 40, shame on you. Fender you should quit sticking all the money in your pocket, start making your customers happy, and you should start doing it soon before you go out of business.
