Paul Sellers Im 30 and was worried if its not late to start playing...obviously not :) I started with this amp and cheap Epiphone SG and I'm pretty happy with
Valronor I also 30 and started playing guitar 17 years ago and now realized i am a forever beginner. The main thing is the feel of happiness while you are playing guitar!!. If not all of motorcycle enthusiasts able to do cornering, why we all the guitarist must have the ability to shred?😝
I just bought a Fender LT25, and I've been playing for 45 years! I'm playing in a small folk combo atm and I needed something small & light, as I have chronic ankle & knee problems. This amp is perfect and sounds great! I also play in a classic rock tribute band and I might get the GT40 for that project: that's how impressed I am with it. Weight is a huge issue for me now: the days of lifting heavy tube amps are over. These little amps sound great, the modelling is superb and the effects are top class. Thank you Fender!
Does this Fender amp have any British modeling like the early Vox AC15 and The Vox AC30 or does it go straight from vintage Fenders to Marshall Stack modeling?
@@JooJooShrimp its a practice amp and it’s awesome for practicing. You can wire direct to your computer, the fender tone app is super easy to use, hundreds of sounds you can program, headphone jack for silent practice and it’s even decent for basic recording directly to your computer. Although there might be some slight latency issues. I’m no pro but I have 20 years of experience under my belt. It’s worth having around.
I have the schecter demon 6 and I recently bought the vox pathfinder 10 limited edition version. I dont know what amp goes well with my guitar, the cleans on the vox sound nice but I'd like to be able to play metal too do you have any suggestions
This is the best review of this amplifier I had seen. Especially that you are only guy that thought of modifying recording environment to better reflect what sound buyer will get. Thank you very much!
What many people don't realize is that most of the time, these are amplifiers that are initially intended for beginners. However, almost all of them come equipped with a headphone jack. When I connect my JBL PartyBox 310 to my fender amp, it sounds exceptionally good, even surpassing my tube amps. This is because, like everything in music, the sound quality is largely derived from your speakers and sound system. Nowadays, amp modeling sounds very good, so that's not where the issue lies. These amplifiers typically have a headphone jack which is more than sufficient for connecting anything you want, as long as it's of good quality. I am even considering getting rid of my tube amps because they are much heavier and, in the end, don't sound as good.
how do you connect your jbl partybox to your amp? i have a jbl 1000 and thought about connecting my guitar to the back of it but i dont know what you mean by the jbl to the lt25?
I was deliberately not watching this until I had completed my video (uploading now), yet despite not wanting to be influenced by your opinion we've both independently said pretty much the same thing about this amplifier.
I. Like your channel better Colin. Something. About a Scottish accent sounds good to my American ears. Dutch makes me uncomfortable, like listening to one of those wankers from upper class London. Not that the bald fella is a bad guy. I just like the information you work with and answer all the questions I had after cracking open a guitar after decades of playing and never thinking twice.
"Beginners amp"? I've been playing for thirty years and I love this thing. For one thing, I can get the sounds I need without it being so loud the neighbors lawn dies, for another, the missus has never appreciated the whole full stack as furniture thing. This little baby does what I need. Also, Anthrax circa 1986 called: they want their shorts back.
Thank you for sharing. I’m a beginner player and chose this amp. I haven’t tried it yet but it comes in next week along with a fender duo sonic HS. I am super stoked!
@@JordannGeorge if your under 18 and still live with mommy and daddy, the Fender Frontman 10G would be a beginners amp for a kid. they often come bundled with a guitar which they've done for years. but if your over 18, i would say this could be considered a beginners amp for a couple reasons. the main reason is the digital part of it, it's not something that would take too long to figure out, but if your someone fairly new to guitar, the last thing you wanna be doing is fiddle around with different settings. now on the flipside, it is cool they tried to be creative with this amp. i think an alternative to this amp is the Fender Champion 20 or 40, there basically similar price, but it didn't have that digital thing. still for $150 bucks, whether your new to playing or you just need something small but better than the Fender Frontman 10G, i think this is a much better choice. no parent i know is gonna spend $150 on a amp for a kid, but for an adult like us, i think the price is fair.
Man what a review, It's been years since I've picked up a guitar. Will be buying a beginner guitar that comes with this Amp tomorrow. Can't wait to try it out.. Thanks for walking us through some of the features of this amp you make it sound and look much more than what it is.
Thanks for the video. I'm 39 and just started playing. I guess I'm a kid, if you consider guitar years, I'm a 2 month old! I ordered one of these, I can't wait!
Not sure why its called a beginners amp. Pros can use this great little amp for many reasons. Bought mine yesterday and its a great little pro amp for practice, playing, recording, bedroom playing, outdoor playing, etc. Best amp I ever bought for little money.
I've seen reviews for this Amp before I bought mine and after I bought it. I've never watched a video from this guy before so give me some rope, he keeps saying begginer amp, and talking about it being a kids amp. I'm 45 buddy, and though I consider myself beginner/intermediate guitar player, this amp has been very useful to me. also, its budget friendly for people who can't or don't want to buy individual pedals and the big tube amps you professionals use to get the sounds you get. I would recommend this amp to anybody, no matter how old or how much you know. for us who are still learning and can't afford the big ticket items, this is more than enough. some of us are not trying to become full fledged musicians, we just want to have fun and jam along some good songs. this amp and a decent guitar will do.
I'd be torn on this and the Katana for a beginner. To me it all comes down to "Does the player have a computer and know how to use it?". The Mustangs have more control options available _on the amp_ when they are completely on their own (the katana needs to be hooked to a computer for most of its vast options). However, the Katana amps have easier controls for the most used options. Amp type, Reverb, OD, Delay, and a couple FX, have default knobs, whereas on the Mustang you have to go through the tiny-screen menus that I tend to hate. The Mustang also has a 3.5mm headphone out which I think is the much better choice since that's what most people use. The Katana uses a 1/4" big jack for headphone out which is fine, but most people will need the little adapter thing for 3.5mm. To me the deciding factor is: "Does the player have a computer and know how to use it?". If they do, I think the Katana is the easy choice. There's SO much you can do with it in the Tone Studio software, with sooo many pedal choices and even signal chain order options. It even has a humbucker/single coil/acoustic converter simulator effect (that I haven't tried yet). To me, the Mustang has a little nicer cleans and reverb, which you'd expect from Fender, and the Katana does better high-gain/metal. Plus it has an EQ knob for mids, which is very nice to have especially for metal. You can also drop your backing tracks/songs into the Boss software to play to on the computer (instead of the aux in on the amp that it has), and when you do it that way you even have the ability to pitch it up or down to accommodate your tunings _AND_ speed up/slow down the track for practice. I would have LOVED it if Fender and Boss teamed up to make a single amp like this. Like take the Katana design, get Fender to do the cleans and reverbs, let Boss handle the high-gain and bazillion FX/pedals, and sell it under the Fender brand and logo. Maybe have like a "powered by Boss" label or something on it. *EDIT:* or call it the _Fender BOSSbreaker!!_ :D
25:23 is a perfect example of my point about those tiny menus and the fact that the basic, most common FX don't have dedicated controls on the Mustang. On the Katana, you can do most of the common things you'd want straight from the control knobs without plugging it into the computer to use the fancy interface. That's where I think the Katana's design is so well done. It has a zillion options if you want them, but the front/top panel layout has everything you (most of the time) need, while staying very simple with no little menus to navigate. They're great practice amps just on their own, even if you don't want all the added fancy stuff that it can do. Let me try to explain it like this: The fancy in-depth controls are not an essential part of the amp's basic design and function the same way they are with the Spider and Mustang amps, if that makes sense. You can be perfectly happy with a Katana without ever dipping into that part of its million options, and just keeping it simple with the top-panel controls. I think that's the genius design choice that Boss made.
@@private7195 I got the Katana MK1 and I still love it. I'd prefer the Artist MK2 for the front facing controls, "better" speaker, and other options the MK2's have, but the artist is a lot more expensive unfortunately. Like I said though in my long comment: I have a PC and use it a lot, so anytime I play guitar I just open the tone studio to make any adjustments, where I have a million options, and don't even have to ever touch the amp physically to change anything other than Power and Master Volume. I just leave the USB plugged into my PC all the time.
This is not a beginner amp like everyone says. This is a professional level amp that can be used on stage without a problem, the tones you can get are EXTREMELY versatile, and if you just MIC it up, it really does sound like a dream.
The intro is a bit patronizing. First he tells us we might be 3 or 12 years old. Then describes applications where an adult or not a beginner would use it. Nice one.
I love how every channel, approaches all demos of any amp from $100-$3000 as if they are above it with something else, and then proceed to only play that generic shit you hear the same stranger play, in literally every Guitar Center ever. Nevermind showing it's versatility or lack of. Only play stuff that shows off how boring it can sound. Has anyone on YT posted how hard you can drive this $150 amp before it overheats? Will someone play a single angry riff? No? Only uninspired cluster-puckery? It's only for novice musicians...not for anyone whom's't've'd not wanna carry a 6x tube brick over yonder to play a casual 2hrs when it makes sense? Oh, okay... Where do we (novice to total Chad) find actual sound tests tho? This is a lot of video with mucho relatable talky, for not hearing what the amp does really. Someone please totally melt this amp, and explain why recording requires 38x the cash than digital understanding. Thanks fam.
@@wurshraggwurshington2284 Yeah, I have this amp and I feel like "professional" musicians do this to anything moreso on the "consumer" end of music-gear and it's frankly not helpful. Like, I get it, if you're a self-described "serious" musician than you'd probably want to spend the money on studio gear that sounds amazing, and that's honestly fine, that's why the high end exists. But you're not a "beginner" or a "child" just because you don't have 1500 to spend on a studio amp and 25 pedals for your "practice" setup, and acting like amps that are cheaper aren't "viable" for "real" purposes is frankly stupid. I see no reason why a chart-topping hit couldn't be created with this sub-150 amplifier and a squier 140$ guitar.
@@lallaren2 I mean, I think that's definitely present but there's a lot of really warm/dark presets (the jazz amp preset with my hollow-body archtop brings the bass up to an almost uncomfortably loud level when compared with the rest which gives a much warmer tone, though it's still 'relatively' bright compared to a lot of other stuff I think.)
You're tha man! I appreciate a more in depth look at equipment. It just so happens I am in the market for a small amp I can carry and move around with no issues. 7 buldging discs says no way to my bigger amp. I have been watching for a couple of weeks trying to decide and figure out what to look for. I havent bought new stuff since the 90s (no need) but becoming disabled has suddenly given me too much free time and a very small budget for things to occupy my mind. Thanks for the insight. Very hepful and better than the vast majority on utube,as well as, far better than salesmen who dont know squat.
@@cresshead seems like a very good decission to me. i'm always tempted to buy a harley benton too, but i can withstand. and that's good. they build nice guitars, very close to the real deal.
Yea, I'm right there with ya. Got a stim check and wanted to put it in an American made music shop. Spent all my money on the instrument and bought this amp as a beginner player.
Thanks for your comment! I got a $2500 prs, and was concerned with buying the lt25 after his comment about cheap guitar. Now I think I’m definitely buying this combo to get me started.
A great little amp, for both beginners and pros, amazing as bedroom amp or practice, not only for beginners only, at all. I own six AC30s, 1 AC50, 1 AC4, 2 Orange, and a Fender Deluxe Reverb, this little amp is my friend exactly as the others I own are
I’ve just bought this amp to go with my solid body electric uke (yes, uke!) If it is a “beginner’s amp” (as opposed to say a small practice amp) it really doesn’t come with any instructions aimed at beginners. This has been incredibly helpful. Thank you!
I've been playing for about 2-3 years now and needed an amp upgrade but dont have enough money. So this review reeaally helped me to chose the right amp.
I'm 44, been playing on and off since I was 24. Had my guitar years before but didn't get serious until later in life. In my thirties it was mainly accustic. When I turned 40 or so I pulled out my old two decade old electric with Ibanez 10watt amp. Then I realized why I put it away. It sounded like shit. Even when playing correctly. The amp (more so than the guitar was crap). I wound up using a multi effects pedal for a year until I see this amp in guitar center used for $80. I snatched it up. I fell back in love with playing and have progressed to places I never even bothered to since taking lessons on acoustic a decade prior. My yearn for learning and playing was back. I owe a lot of that to this amp. It also pushed me to get a new guitar, then a other and a other. Still don't have a real Fender or anything as the cost is way too high for me to justify($850 for a bottom end version, bah.., Squier epiphone, schecter will have to do for now). It isn't til now when I needed another amp for my large den that I gor a bigger amp. I liked this one so much I got it's much bigger brother thr gtx50. Which is an amazing amp. That being said the lt25 is that cut down in a limited easy to use package. I highly recommend it. I still keep mine in my office so I can play a few licks between work calls.
Thanks for the great and honest review. I've played on about everything over the last 55 yrs minus Dumbles, but never had a practice amp before. My14 yr old daughter has been taking lessons for about 3 yrs on acoustic and is really pretty good. I'm going to give her a PRS Zach Myers I have and want to get her a small practice amp she can take between her mom's house and her dad's house. I have been researching online for small practice amps and had it down to the LT25 or the Positive Grid Spark. After watching your video, I think the LT25 is the better deal. Not as many bells and whistles, but for a 14 yr old , you can plug and play, learn about the effects and amp types without going down the programming rabbit hole. Plus, it's $100 cheaper and a Fender. Keep up the great videos. Been watching them for years. Thanks.
this is the best demo i have ever seen for any product. i don't play (yet). still picking out all the [things] and getting info so i can make the best choices possible for myself. i think i'm going to have to browse your library of videos.
I watch anything you put up as your videos are always informative and very entertaining. I'm a beginner ....ive been one .for over 50 years. A tuner built-in is nice and Bluetooth or any other boutique feature is nice but not required. The amplifiers sound quality is required. However I would prefer a proper amplifier handle instead of a hand hold.
Call it the _Fender BOSSbreaker!!_ :D
They sell them under their own series and they sell their own models, the Fender Bossbreaker is visually designed by Fender while the Boss Fenderbender looks more of their own design. And it has the powered by "brand" label of course.
There is also a 4th group playing high end guitars that just want a low cost good sounding amp to play through while sitting on the back porch or patio and sipping bourbon on a nice Florida evening.
Finally!! Thank you, I’m grabbing the traveler light to take on the road with me and have been searching for something that would capture acoustic quality as that’s what I normally play and don’t have room/ don’t want to risk damaging one of my full size. No other reviews I found demonstrated that preset. This will be the one I go with. Great review much appreciation!
After seeing this review, I bought this amp. Total beginner. I wanted to “build my own package.” So this amp, and a used epiphone sg. I think it’s a killer combo. Even a more budget guitar and this amp will be great. This amp is a phenomenal amp!
This amp comes with an incredibly user friendly interface wich comes with an incredible amount of pedals that you can use/group together digitally in an unlimited amount of ways, up to 60 saveable presets, you can set up 60 different amps 60 different ways and switch between them digitally at anytime, multiple different amp types that ALL sound different and amazing, MOST of the amp equipment this guy has in that room all comes pre loaded digitally in this one Fender, hes just upset it came out after he bought all that gear.
joehervey84 it is one of the mustangs, we sell the shit outta these & the GT 40’s. They’re perfectly fine as Henning said, FOR PRACTICE. The 40 is the one I Bluetooth into so I can play my music instead of listening to the GC radio crap on repeat.good price for a good practice amp...just don’t go live or track w/it; that’s not its intention.
@@AlbusBand ty for getting back to me on this. I ordered a amp fro. GC used section. Went well on the phone . waiting on the amp hope GC shows how to box up a amp lol. Ty brotha ,Ben is live at 8 hope to see bro
I know this is an old video but thank you so much. I was looking for an amp to replace the amp that came with my guitar. I've been stuck on this one or the Champion 20. The thing that sold me is all the effects and having a knob for a mid range only for $30 more. I also want to say thanks for mic-ing it the way you would hear it in the room.
I love my 20W Mustang I V2 but this has improved the user interface by making the stompboxes and all other effects accessible without connecting to a computer.
You yourself pointed out this amp mostly targeted at beginners but I've been playing music for 17 years and am looking for a new practice amp and this seems great picking it up in a couple weeks. Thanks for the review. Will be checking out your channel.
Highly recommend this amp. I owned this one and used to own GT40 thinking it is as good as LT25, but boy was I wrong. Other than the fact that GT40 has a bigger speaker and more presets and Bluetooth, it's annoying to use. The power button and the usb hub are on the back which it's not easy for me to use. Even though you have 200 presets and you can replace them using ipad than a laptop, I rarely used more than a few presets I modded. I also noticed the screen or the circuit board has a little delay especially when you use bluetooth so it's a little bit frustrating when you want to go to another preset and you surpassed it. Honestly, I just want a simple amp and play the tone that I want and LT25 does better for me than G40.
I think even the Roland Micro Cube is great. Simple inexpensive things are sometimes the best for practice, creating song ideas, taking them anywhere... you embrace the limitations regardless if you can afford other things,
I love your channel 🎉thanks! I watch anything you put up too… I have a Mustang 3 and it is durable and sounds fantastic. Thanks for your humor and great knowledge, cheers
Great review. I love this little amp. One mention... your comments on the USB are not 100% correct. This is for firmware upgrades and the Fender Tone software input which is crucial to opening this amp up to its full capabilities. Fender has already updated the firmware to GREAT advances since I bought mine. For anyone interested, please try this and see what you think. Using the Fender Tone software on your LT25, set a custom preset for yourself that I made which I feel sounds a lot like Chuck Berry on Maybelline and much more of his music. Give some feedback and ideas. I play this through the LT25 via an Epiphone Sheraton Pro II with the switch in the up position and it sure is close to Chuck in my ear. Try any guitar with a Humbucker to test. Pedal 1: Metal Gate with the knob at 8 O'clock (very low ~1.4 db) Pedal 2: Chorus with knobs from left to right - 10 O'clock, 11 O'clock and 9 O'clock Amp: 60's UK Clean with knobs from left to right - 10.5 O'clock, 4 O'clock and 4 O'clock, 1 O'clock and 11 O'clock Pedal 3: Empty Pedal 4: Plate with knobs from left to right - 11 O'clock, 1 O'clock and 2 O'clock Of course keep the LT25 knobs all at 12 O'clock but for the volume where you can set as you please.
Man I’m a good guitar player and I have good gear, this amp is not a beginner amp, this is a actual good amp that not only beginners should buy but also pro players. This doesn’t try to be a real deal amp, it is a real deal amp. (Just a small amp lol)
beginner amp doesn’t mean it’s not good, it just means it has everything built in that a beginner needs to get started without buying a whole rig. And NO it is not a real deal amp. It sounds great, but you can’t gig with it and I would only use it for recording if nothing else was available.
@@EytschPi42 I would use the GT40 mustang mixed with a cabinet speaker for a gig simply because of all the amazing sounds you get from the presets. I would not use just the LT50 amp though for a gig. Btw I love the vids man keep up the good work!
People, just because something is called “beginner” doesn't mean it's not good enough for everyone else, calm down. It's a great little amp and it's perfect for beginners because of the ease of use. I have one, I love it. I keep it hooked up to my computer, I'm stuck in an apartment so I usually plug in headphones, but it does get low enough especially if you are directly in front and facing the Amp.
To all of those looking to buy - Do it. This is a great amp. However do not use most of the presets. I am a scooped mids metallica kind of guy and the thrash overkill was not it. Try all of the different amp models and mess around with different stomps and effects. Took me a long time but I got a wonderful thrash patch now. I think I am ready for an upgrade but this amp has served me well.
When you aren't a beginner, but to cheap to buy a better amp. I think this amp is pretty good for anybody because you can recore it, it's cheap, and it comes with a ton of sounds so I don't have to buy pedals.
If you get this amp, make sure you downloaded the firmware and add the extra presets to the amp. The software has 90 or so presets, but you can install up to 60 o the amp. By stock settings it's only 30.
FYI if you don't have a footswitch, you can PROBABLY plug in an instrument cable and touch tip to sleeve and it'll operate the footswitch option on the amp, as if you were hitting the switch. It works this way with the older Mustangs so I'm betting Fender is still using the same setup in these. No reason to make it more complicated when it doesn't need to be. I was going to buy one of these in 2020. Then I found the $249 Laney Cub 12R aka Stage Right 15w 1x12" combo with a different type of reverb from Monoprice and decided that I wanted tubes more than options. I'm SO GLAD I did. It's an inexpensive amplifier but it's also a great amplifier. Especially for someone like me that doesn't gig or anything.
I’m a 45 year old beginner and a lefty, so my guitar options are somewhat limited. I ended up buying a Squire CV ‘50’s Tele with this amp and I think they’re both excellent for what I am doing. I also got the Mustang Micro to use. And I think it is a nice set up for a beginner. That Mustang Micro should be in every guitar package that Fender puts out if you ask me. You get a lot from that little $100 amp! Nice review though. I’d like to know if pedals would be worth trying with this amp though, I haven’t seen it used that way before so I am curious how that works. I have a lot to learn about everything, I know that. And that is what makes this all really exciting for me personally. Knowing that there’s so much more that I’ll be able to learn one day keeps me at it. I only wish I started sooner.
Just want to say thanks for your review. I bought this am online and sent it back being seduced by a OTT review on the Mighty Air. Now I'm sending the Mighty Air back as the sound quality was nowhere near the Fender. Thanks again for your honesty in ALL your reviews. 👍. and...stay safe😊

Love your videos, in fact I have just bought a Yamaha Pacifica after watching your review about them. Now it is time for an amp and I rather like this one, can I ask if it has a cab sim when connected to headphones like the Orange Crush 12 which is supposed to be a brilliant amp but no effects. Keep up the good work.

Damn... in that case I must have been completely wrong and change my option 180 degrees... now I have to reshoot everything!
But its not a beginner amp
Just bcuz of its price range
Its an excellent amp
@@Kremer_ they just said that the price doesn't make it a beginner amp. are you saying the price does make it a beginner amp?
@@Kremer_ so I could only play an Em but have a $7000 dollar amp and I wouldn’t be a beginner?
@@Kremer_ right. Sorry it sounded different
@@JordannGeorge if your under 18 and still live with mommy and daddy, the Fender Frontman 10G would be a beginners amp for a kid.
they often come bundled with a guitar which they've done for years.
but if your over 18, i would say this could be considered a beginners amp for a couple reasons. the main reason is the digital part of it,
it's not something that would take too long to figure out, but if your someone fairly new to guitar, the last thing you wanna be doing is fiddle around with different settings. now on the flipside, it is cool they tried to be creative with this amp. i think an alternative to this amp is the Fender Champion 20 or 40, there basically similar price, but it didn't have that digital thing.
still for $150 bucks, whether your new to playing or you just need something small but better than the Fender Frontman 10G, i think this is a much better choice. no parent i know is gonna spend $150 on a amp for a kid,
but for an adult like us, i think the price is fair.
Best overview of this amp I've come across. Answered every single question I had -- and the editing was killer.
What did you end up getting?
@@lallaren2 I mean, I think that's definitely present but there's a lot of really warm/dark presets (the jazz amp preset with my hollow-body archtop brings the bass up to an almost uncomfortably loud level when compared with the rest which gives a much warmer tone, though it's still 'relatively' bright compared to a lot of other stuff I think.)
your reviews are very well constructed, especially in trying to emulate the proper setup including beginner guitars, thank you for doing that.
I think the smooth switching by Leslie is the hidden reason these videos are this great.
Absolutely brilliant video I’m 58 just bought a fender and now going to buy this amp as well sounds just the ticket for what the beginners need thanks
Very entertaining video! Thank you for taking the time to produce this video! It cleared up several questions I had about this amplifier.
I'm 56 .... a kid though reguards guitar!

"You're not going to have an $1100.00 guitar playing a LT25?" Well what about a $1600 guitar?
Yea, I'm right there with ya. Got a stim check and wanted to put it in an American made music shop. Spent all my money on the instrument and bought this amp as a beginner player.
Thanks for your comment! I got a $2500 prs, and was concerned with buying the lt25 after his comment about cheap guitar. Now I think I’m definitely buying this combo to get me started.
A great little amp, for both beginners and pros, amazing as bedroom amp or practice, not only for beginners only, at all. I own six AC30s, 1 AC50, 1 AC4, 2 Orange, and a Fender Deluxe Reverb, this little amp is my friend exactly as the others I own are
You do know you can reuse the AC30, right? They're not single use. Why do you have 6? xD
I bought one today and I’m 45 years old. I’m new to guitar but I’ve been playing bass for 20 plus years. Plenty good for home practice.
well i would most certainly record an album with this amp
Best bedroom-practice amp I've ever had...
Call it the _Fender BOSSbreaker!!_ :D
We can only dream
...or the Boss Fenderbender
They sell them under their own series and they sell their own models, the Fender Bossbreaker is visually designed by Fender while the Boss Fenderbender looks more of their own design. And it has the powered by "brand" label of course.
AWESOME, MAN! THANKS
I am a beginner and i will order my first amp and my first guitar soon
I will subscribe because i love how you reviewed this
There's also a third group of people who just have a VERY tight budget...but those would probably just buy a Boss Katana Mini ;)
There is also a 4th group playing high end guitars that just want a low cost good sounding amp to play through while sitting on the back porch or patio and sipping bourbon on a nice Florida evening.
Im in the third group...
and a fourth group that plays flute like katy perry
Patrick Nelson one time, at band camp...
What if you already have a mini and you daughter starts playing guitar and gets her first Strat? Get a second mini or one of these or the Katana 50?
I bought this amp after 3 seconds of playing was blown away has to how good it sounded, stage and studio ❤ love it
Install a pair of Antiquity pickups and hear the difference.
“People that watch anything I put up”....guilty as charged.
Is GC gonna push this like the Mustangs?
joehervey84 it is one of the mustangs, we sell the shit outta these & the GT 40’s. They’re perfectly fine as Henning said, FOR PRACTICE. The 40 is the one I Bluetooth into so I can play my music instead of listening to the GC radio crap on repeat.good price for a good practice amp...just don’t go live or track w/it; that’s not its intention.

I’ve never seen a review in such detail for anything! Thank you so much😊
This is a great video! Very helpful in showing the effects and presets! Perfect for my needs, thanks!
Nice review. No need to be a snob for practice amps. This or most of the practice amps nowadays sound more than good enough for home use. Cheers.
I love my 20W Mustang I V2 but this has improved the user interface by making the stompboxes and all other effects accessible without connecting to a computer.
I just bought my kid an LT25 and a player series strat. Very good review. thanks.
Thanks for this video. Just purchased the LT25 as my first amplifier for my dulcimer. Like it very much so far after my first hour using it.
Thnxs Henning for Your time to make this detailed review, I was searching for a good practice amp and i've found it. Take care.
Thanks for explanation for tuning up! First time I’ve ever heard it fully explained.
You yourself pointed out this amp mostly targeted at beginners but I've been playing music for 17 years and am looking for a new practice amp and this seems great picking it up in a couple weeks. Thanks for the review. Will be checking out your channel.
Is it weird that I (as a quite seasoned player) enjoyed that beginner video? Well done Henning!
Honestly, I just want a simple amp and play the tone that I want and LT25 does better for me than G40.
did you update the firmware to the latest?
Pedal 1: Metal Gate with the knob at 8 O'clock (very low ~1.4 db)
Pedal 2: Chorus with knobs from left to right - 10 O'clock, 11 O'clock and 9 O'clock
Amp: 60's UK Clean with knobs from left to right - 10.5 O'clock, 4 O'clock and 4 O'clock, 1 O'clock and 11 O'clock
Pedal 3: Empty
Pedal 4: Plate with knobs from left to right - 11 O'clock, 1 O'clock and 2 O'clock
Of course keep the LT25 knobs all at 12 O'clock but for the volume where you can set as you please.
"You know who you are?"
I have no idea what you are talking about.
And the acoustic sim actually has me blown away. That they do this was news to me.
Just like a lot of other people in this comment section, I'm one of those weirdos who watch anything you upload, haha. Cheers from France.
Excellent review. I'm buying one as soon as my Relief payment arrives. Keep up the good work
I’m not a beginner. I just like things simple LMAO
Agreed. Just for the sake of practicing and noodling around, this amp will do just fine.
Great video! Just bought one of these second hand for a good price, this video explains everything I need to know about it, cheers!
I have the Mustang GTX100 and I just bought the LT25 for traveling. Love them both. I love to blue tooth backing tracks and my favorite preset is 157
As a 30 year old beginner this is a great review and I’ll be getting this one or the one from nux those are my two choices so far
I just discovered your channel. What an absolutely excellent review and you have earned a sub.
I feel the same.
Great video as always. So, this or the Boss Katana 50 Mk2? They’re the same price where I live.

this "normal" viewer wishes she had all that cool stuff behind you. but for now, slowly rebuilding up to what i did have. did come across this amp and interested to hear all it can do vs. my prior fender amp which was a tube but wow the sound was awesome for such a little thing not as kewl as others i had but we'll see if this one is a happy medium between the two i owned, not counting the stacks of marshalls i got addicted to for a few years. glad to see some vids online for this little hidden gem.
Personally, as a practice amp, nothing beats the PositiveGrid SPARK right now.... it is truly standing out from the competition.
Very cool review. I watch a lot of your content so (sort of!) get your channel idea. This is a great idea to present to beginners and to those of us who are intersted but don't have a huge amount of knowledge. Excellent. More please.

Absolutely great demo video! I just purchased my second. Mustang amp the first one was the 2×12 Mustang and then I just picked up the lt25 Mustang and to tell you the truth I think that I like the lt 25 a little bit better because it has a closed back .
Do you recimmend bying it??
not really a beginner, not really intermediate, but i liked your review, i really want this amp because im on budget
I have this amp and i love it
