The best thing about tf2's community is how everyone can work together to a single cause, no matter how diverse the community is they're able to keep the game alive

I started playing and heavily enjoying TF2 just last week. I was confused of the FixTF2 movement happening and I thought the many bots were just normal for this game since the start. Onky now i realized it only got worse starting recently. Thanks for giving info to a new player to show whats wrong with the community and game rn.

Last time it was a shock that Valve listened, and we even ended up with a Summer Update with new community maps. I don't know if they will listen again this time, I'd say it's 50/50.

Came back to this after going through 20 casual games and watching as the bots kick the players 1 by 1 until there was 1 left, (me) and then they all left and I was in an empty game, then the bots joined back and kicked me. This happened on every game I've tried to join for 4 hours straight, and it happens every time I open up Tf2

If using tactics like using other people's work (specifically mailing people signatures to Valve) like the US did in 1787 worked for them, then surely it will work for us

I most likely won't do anything about regular cheaters, and definitely won't make valve put any effort into updates, but those are smaller issues.

I think Team Fortress should die at this point.
I've had my life changed by this game. That one MVM match 4 years ago inadvertently started a series of events that lead to me getting into med school today. I am more than grateful to this game for providing me with 8 whole years of fun and socialization, but now? There is absolutely nothing we can do to fix this game. Our last chance was with Meet Your Match and everybody involved (both Valve and the community) flubbed it. I believe that today's Valve is nothing like the Valve we all have fond memories of. All the love for TF2 has been squeezed out. There is no incentive for Valve to listen to a single word we have to say. After all, we are gamers. Gamers are a fickle bunch. One day, we're screaming murder over an issue, the next, most of us have been placated by some shiny fake solution while the ones who are still angry slowly die out (cough cough the Helldivers 2 fiasco cough cough). We make Valve MINIMAL revenue compared to Steam, obviously. In Valve's eyes, we are at best a dormant angry gang and at worst a mere annoying thorn in their side.
Guys, if you're having fun with TF2 still, then cool. But do not have your day ruined by what is now expected from Valve. If you really, passionately, truly love this game like I do,

Unlike a loved one with dementia, you have no obligation to endure this game's slow, painful, helpless, and possibly heart-wrenching downfall at the expense of your mood and time. Elden Ring's about to release a new DLC. Helldivers 2 is about to release a new faction. Street Fighter 6 is about to reveal 4 new characters. Monster Hunter's about to have its newest game announced. The Nintendo Switch 2 is almost done baking. We might even see Civ 7 this year. Plenty of games in the sea to get excited over.

Honestly as a whole, I feel like the movement should be about addressing Valve's issue of sheer negligence as a whole, even outside the general discussion of lack of updates and shit, they became way too complacent with letting things, whether it's cuz they tend to be too ambitious with their own ideas to the point of burnout, or flatout laziness, they're hardly even doing the bare minimum cuz they don't need to. They need to be called out for the shameful and neglectful company they've become

A bit of a correction, there are straight up NO bots at all on south america servers, so its not really all regions.

Ive been trying for a while to find a way to kill bots and I think I have one way for every class
Scout: use bonk to run up to one and spam primary fire while looking at them
Soldier: hide behind cover and shoot rockets, unless you're using the original, rockets spawn from the side
Pyro: phlog cancelling
Demo: shoot over cover and use your pipes' splash damage to get kills
Heavy: your high health means you can survive at least 1 sniper shot if its uncharged
Engineer: build sentries to kill bots
Medic: stock ubercharge
Sniper: don't use sniper
Spy: same as sniper
BTW I will be sharing this to other videos
the only two viable strategies are fists of steel Heavy (less damage taken from bullets) and battalion's backup Soldier (extra health and crit resistance)
all of these "ways to kill bots" rely on the bot not shooting you the instant you can take damage, these ideas are only good against real Sniper players

Most of these rely on using cover or built in invincibility to make them worthwhile
