If you want a unique peaceful approach to spy, you can literally 'spy on em' by relaying info about what the enemy team is doing, it may give an advanced notice of a well prepared push being set up, possibly helping weak classes prepare to escape
@@giahuynguyenkim6389 While pushing you can also take out one or two important people like a sniper, an engineer, a heavy or a demoman who has set up a sticky trap, or even a medic! Wait are we starting to describe playing spy normally, but with one extra addition?

Something I'd like to add! To best fool people with your disguise, play as the other classes. Playing as the other classes for awhile, ya learn their movement styles, i.e Demo will usually be strafing back an forth near the back/middle of a group during combat if they're using their GL and Soldiers tend to jump around....ALOT....it gives them a good angle on their rockets when firing at someones feet. An pay attention to who gets spy checked often, like a Pyro with their flamethrower out is almost 100% to get spy checked an that precent goes WAY down if you have your disguise equip a secondary or melee wep. Stuff like that. Also, helps to have a round missing from your revolver if your trying to infiltrate. When you reload your revolver, the disguise also reloads. an best part? You can change your disguises weapon by pulling out the slotted wep/item an hitting a button (I have mine set to C key, but you can change it to anything). Hope this helps! (PS. I am NOT a spy main, but this is stuff I picked up from playing for years)

Thanks for this video! I've been playing TF2 for a couple of months now and I'm interested in moving out of my character comfort zone. Even though this stuff I technically _knew_ from the tutorial, the way you explained it made it feel much less overwhelming.
Awesome. I'd also like to mention, I feel like stabbing people and taking down buildings is secondary to Spy's ability to cause chaos and distract the enemy. If I had to describe the process of playing him, it's popping in and out of existance for any opprotunity. As for disguises, the way I'd describe using them is like having a sort of "mental protection." This isn't protection like resistence and overheal, it's more like just one less reason for the enemy to istantly shoot you. If you obviously run directly at them or they're already spy checking, that protection is non-existent beyond sentries. Fear no though, you don't always have to fool every enemy you come across. Sometimes you just need to fool one of them. By the way, love those SFM bits you included.
