Total admiration , unintentionally one of the great motivational videos that are on RUclips similar to arnie or the rock. Good for him. Someone to aspire to .
What you tend to see a lot with hands on directors like this is that they don't want to delegate or employ someone to take some of the pressure off because a) they enjoy it, even if it does stress them out, and b) they have trust issues and don't believe anyone else can sort the problems as well as they can. There comes a point though where you just simply can't do everything, 5am to 10pm is no life, even if it is your business and it's all for yourself.

Take notes, being the director of any company is stressful and you literally work from sun up to sun down. Unfortunately not everyone is made for that lifestyle. But it can be extremely rewarding
Just started watching this man.
Motivated already.
The discipline he has is admirable.
Finally a contractor who does his own snagging before the client and before the contract administrator does! 👏🏻

That's inspiring to me. I'm 30 years old, jobless, in the catering industry which is dying so I'm trying to think of ways to make money, otherwise I'm gonna be in big trouble.
@Apex Thanks for the kind words.

I work in this industry and met many people like Daniel - they're great guys. Early starts, lots of exciting work, and feels really rewarding. I've been on the front line as well as on the board so it's good to see a senior manager getting out and about and getting stuck in.
Not in the construction industry myself but this was so interesting and inspiring. Huge respect. The sort of content kids should be shown in school.
You mean they aren't?
I love seeing stuff like this. I own a bar and arcade and seeing other successful men doing it gives me hope. It’s hard work but it’s doable. God speed man.
Man you’re so clear when speaking and you’ve a very calm approach
I've been a Quantity Surveyor for for the past 13 years working for one of the largest main contractors in the UK, during the lock down I've decided to venture out on my own and I'm currently setting up my own business, and this video is very motivational. Cheers pal for the great video.👍

He’s exaggerating. No way he gets 300 emails a day
@@DBProductions12345-m you do get that much in construction. but he didn't say he replies to them all. he should hire someone to answer his emails, make a list of what needs to be said.
Love this. Every spare moment during the day is used to move business forward. Whether it’s nonstop calls in the car, repurposing an old shelving system, or rerouting lorries to be more efficient. Not once did I see him on the phone passing time. He’s clearly working hard and that makes the people who work for him see that and wrk harder themselves. Nobody likes a boss that sits around.
When you rewatch old videos because of the kick it gives and of course ashville weekly feels like ashville monthly just waiting.
This guy is such an inspiration people think they'd love his life and money but would they willing to put the work in

So glad I found this channel, blinking interesting.
So much respect, that's all, from one business owner to another!
This is honestly the best thing on RUclips. You need to make it a constant thing. The public want to see you on your day to day business.
Wow, I'm so glad the RUclips algorithm brought me to your channel. I'm also happy to see a successful, Black British businessman out here doing his thing.. so much more relatable. Questions: How did you get started? Do you have a family? A wife?? Can someone in your position ever make time for the latter? Do you ever go on holiday? If yes, how many a year? What are your goals? Objectives? Any days off? I'm so curious. Anyway, stay blessed and thank you all for the great content!
This must be one of the most likeable, admirable people on RUclips. Massive respect to him as a person and a business leader.
I really respect this guy. He really inspire me, like to see black men in business. Hats off to you my brother. I would definitely need some advice regarding the business that I’m running.
Here you go with your government indoctrination camp compartmentalizations.
I bet you a million bucks Daniel does not see him self as “a black man in business” he’s a man he runs a business he’s successful and his skin color happens to be dark in complexion.

Why bringing his skin colour? How dare you saying that. Honestly....

Impressive, the founder is clearly driven, focused, very hardworking and also seems a decent grounded guy. Really good to watch.
I'm impressed by him driving around with a mug of coffee without spilling 😂
I was thinking how the heck do you even shift with a cup of coffee until I realized there are automatics

Yeah if you have decent car it probably has a whole different driving experience ... I hit a pothole in my Corsa and I'm covered... He hits a pothole and it is like a little breeze touching the tyre lol...

Jesus Christ people are so stupid, he has an automatic car so you only need to turn the wheel, its not that difficult
I have a lot of respect for trade type entrepreneur's, a friend of mine owns a window cleaning company and I understand how things change at any moment in time and you just got to go with the flow of things and over come the day with being positive , cheer's to you brother keep up the good work.
No wife consuming his resources , no kids to to waste his energy, no in laws to have internal feuds ,he’s living life man

Why do you think a wife would consume your resources? Get a girl that has a decent career and adds to your life not take away.

Finally a relatable video of the everyday life of the construction industry. I own a Landscape company in Chicago and there is definitely similar struggles. Great to see you handling everything so well. Keep the videos coming

Guy is super hard working.. young black man at the top of his game. Real inspiration.
He’s a young man it’s nothing to do with his colour many black men can do what he does , even from council estates
@@keithy363 LOL. Leave it out.. besides the point. The guy is young, BLACK and successful. Of course more can apply themselves and do well no matter the background.. that's not the point. I'm acknowledging HIS achievements with no apologies. He just so happens to be black/mixed race.. which connects with me more because I am. It's not a common sight yet, especially within this industry. What he's doing is inspirational period.. regardless of colour.. especially if you're working class. Not sure why you're touchy.
L 1 I just feel when people make a point of saying “ ooh is t the black man doing well “ type of comment is kind of derogatory . Would love to know how and where it all began though , on a personal note my cousins who are mixed race were never brought up with any stigma attached to them nor was their father ( Ghanaian ) heritage
@@keithy363 I get what you mean, but I'm moreso coming from the angle of that's a black man doing well.. not he's doing well for a black man.. if you get the difference. People like him are an example of what the norm can/should be. I'm sure people like him don't even want his colour to be the focus.. just his ability.. we will get there.
L 1 👊 I get ya some white folk stigmatise themselves too , I watch a fella called Sara Garvey on here and he put something up which I thought was awesome he said he doesn’t teach his kids about black slaves but of black kings etc from back in the day setting him up for positive thought not negative , I cane from a council estate in Slough patents sometimes had 2 jobs owned their own home , wanted to get of their estates mum ended up getting a nursing degree at 35 we all now live in Australia I work in oil and gas so just need the right mindset not the victim / government owes me mindset

I have been running my own business for a year and a half. I've watched a million vids on entrepreneurs to try and understand how it is for others. This one has been , by far, the most helpful because rather than giving a detached overview you are showing the real grind and the consistent hard work it takes day to day to run a business. Kudos to you your drive and determination is very clear to see. I found this video extremely helpful and I work in the fostering sector!!
One thing I learned about leadership is that you should always ‘start with why’. Not once did he tell someone why he needed them to do something and instead told them to just do it. “People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it” - Simon Sinek
I'm theory you're right but practically it could be difficult telling every single person why? Sometimes employees just need to be told what to do. Why? Because they don't care, its just a job to them. They just want the day to end and go home.
@@JH-lo5gg you'll know who to explain why to I guess and who not to bother with. I know plenty who will argue to the point where I have to tell them to just do it and I wonder why I bothered trying to explain

It’s always great seeing black men owning their own businesses and doing well in the process

@@SupreemTeam Exactly
You want it done right you have to do it yourself
What you tend to see a lot with hands on directors like this is that they don't want to delegate or employ someone to take some of the pressure off because a) they enjoy it, even if it does stress them out, and b) they have trust issues and don't believe anyone else can sort the problems as well as they can. There comes a point though where you just simply can't do everything, 5am to 10pm is no life, even if it is your business and it's all for yourself.
This was actually really inspiring. Thanks for putting this out there man. The way you handle your business is extremely professional yet it seems like you can laugh with all your employees/coworkers. Thats what I aspire to bring to the workplace when I reach your level.
