Jesus. I work in logistics and I know that running lorries isn't easy. To have that many units is very impressive. To have so many on order. Congrats to Ashville
I own my own driveway resurfacing company, your videos have inspired me to take a step up and this summer I will be installing brand new and specialty driveways for my entire state. Going from jobs of 1-2k to jobs of 8k+.
I think this is now officially my favourite RUclips channel 👍. Please make a video explaining how you bought an actual train line - I didn't even know that was a thing 😂. Anyway, admirable levels of OCD. Hard work pays off - inspirational. ATB from Andy Mac in Newcastle. 🤘
I believe he just owns the siding which is connected to the main train line, He will then have an agreement with his railfreight operator (Which in his case is GB Railfreight) to get them to deliver aggregate from the quarry to the yard.
I've never in my entire life read or watched something about construction or lorrys but this was really entertaining to watch and I learned something new :D
Right I found his channel from a recommendation but idk if it’s for construction or just watching him run the business. Either way this stuff is super interesting to watch
We started running into a new problem when our lorries were breaking down, so what did we do? Here we have my enormous physique which comes in handy to pull around lorries when needed. Seeing as this work didn't make sense for the investment we also bring in more work by pulling around communter trains and busses.
This guy is the picture perfect definition of entrepreneurship. Have a problem? Fix it. Another problem comes around? Fix it. Next thing you know you've fixed 35 problems aka having a 35 truck fleet. Well done!
I don't even know how I ended up on this channel but congrats to this guy! It takes real determination, planning and intelligence (both IQ and EQ) to get there. And from what I've seen in another video, he seems to be respectful of others as well. So good for you man!
This guy's a do-er not just a grower or show-er. Love just how passionate he is about his company and how intimately he knows all the equipment. It really is inspiring for anyone looking to start their own business.
Clearly a very savvy and visionary man/company; he saw a gap (gaping holes) in the market and filled them. Also, I was very impressed at the condition of the yard; clean, no weeds, well maintained, well fenced - that speaks volumes to me about the culture of the business, almost as much as the well maintained and clean fleet. Subscribed and belled!
I’m a young Nigerian in the US about to graduate with an Industrial & Systems Engineering degree looking to step into the construction supply chain industry and Bruv, you are inspirational! @Ashville

Hi Daniel. From watching your vids, I’m learning a lot out the business and have a lot to learn. Very insightful to see what it’s like behind the scenes. Congrats on your success. Hard work and time pays off. Have you ever thought about expanding into the States?

As a experienced transport manager and company owner . You have done well especially with all the new rules and regs in London its a tough game to be in as most don't appreciate the costs involved in running and more importantly maintaining a fleet! Good Effort

If you were to convert your rail track to have a below rail receiving bin with conveyor, you could unload the train trucks by having them self empty from below or by tipping sideways into a receiving bin then that could automatically feed the conveyor which could then take directly to the offloading area. Thus saving a hell of lot of time, turnaround and money on that brand new machinery. Just a thought.
P410 is excellent choice with 8x4... I loved driving these back in 2010, the drive experience was like I was on well maintained train on well maintained track... Well of course the roads were not too good but the chassis did excellent job.
