Raoul and Darlene, you are extraordinary people and you deserve all our gratitude for what you have done. Everyone has taken great pleasure in this work, ...especially Poncho!
I lived in B.C. back in the mid-'70s and sailed a Columbia 26 and a Coronado 32 into Pt. Townsend several times -- the '32 was kept at the Oak Bay Marina in Victoria back then. Good times. In the later '70s I got involved in boat moving. I leased a '73 KW to Boat Transit in SoCal. where I used their trailers and authority to haul mostly overdimensional boats through or to 46 of the 48 states. I can state without doubt that a boat hauler earns 80+ percent of his pay in the first and last half-miles of the run, even if there are 2500 miles in between. That said, it was this boat moving episode that got me started with the channel. I've been with it ever since, back and forth to the extent that this is my third run through the whole series, prompted by the launch video a couple of weeks ago. It's brought back many fond memories for me -- I'm 75.
We've known Pancho all along! It was great and very touching to finally meet Raul and Darlene. Hopefully we will get a cameo or two as Tally Ho progresses in Port Townsend. There will be a whole lot more resources at hand in her new shed
When I learned about the “nasty neighbour “ I felt sorry for him . After listening to Raul I now have no sorrow - just anger. Those sort of people are just bullies - not worthy of sympathy. If this upsets some then tough - it’s my opinion

This is crazy. I have never met any of these people. I probably never will. But this group of people and these pieces of wood (and bronze) have me emotionally invested.... in a way that I did not expect. All the best to you and your wonderful crew

It makes us want to visit that part of the USA. And Leo, what a superb ambassador for us in the UK. Your work ethic is incredible. As an ex-trucker, I can say that reversing into the shed was the easy bit - the nail-biting was all on getting past the house extracting Tally Ho from her home over the last few years. I'm watching the whole Tally Ho journey once more. Poor Darlene - even from these short interview clips, she was obviously a beautiful, caring, thoughtful & loving person. True, and they tilted her at the narrowest point!
looked like a total of 6 big props on that trailer, it was impressive.
Jeesus, Grown man here sobbing. Much love leo.....
Your hosts are so lovely. They had me in tears. I hope Raoul can come out and see the boat progressing. :)
Leo (and Co.) congratulations on a major milestone!! what a wonderful movie 🙌🏼✊🏻
Holy crap it’s Jimmy Diresta. You’re one of the best creators always out supporting everyone.
Wow Jimmy diresta in the house and I'm thinking what he could he be tapped to fab up for the tally ho? Ships wheel? Bell? .... ..
Imagine a big, old, longhaired, 300-pound, biker crying like a baby!! I love you all!!
This must be one of the most touching videos you have posted Leo. It is incredible how much good your project has done, to all those people who view the videos, and to the people who surround you. Raoul and Darlene, you are extraordinary people and you deserve all our gratitude for what you have done. Everyone has taken great pleasure in this work, ...especially Poncho!
It's like the end of an era. I'm going to miss the build site and Pancho.
Its not ending, its just the next step. And its going to be awesome for sure.
I agree. The setting provided an organic aspect that suited the build and the people.
A perfect shot of Pancho sitting on a rail next to Tally Ho in her new home.
I will miss the old dogs and chickens. Sigh.
@@williamyaughn7617 I always wonder how the old yellow lab is doing.
It was great to meet Raul and Darlene. Life brings amazing people into our lives sometimes.
I shed a tear when Darlene did not gonna lie. What an amazing couple.
same here
Thanks Raul and Darlene , your generosity has impacted hundreds of thousands of People all over the world . You're the salt of the earth !
It’s about time Leo started calling himself a cinematographer at the beginning, he’s certainly more than earned that title
Full of Talent !
Raul and Darlene are so incredibly generous. Lovely to finally meet them.
I can't wait for Leo to take his hosts sailing once the boat is done :D
I am sure he will !!!!
I’m so happy we got to meet your hosts!
Ditto
Great project -have really love the videos- let me know when done would love to visit.
Mike and jackie
We've known Pancho all along!
It was great and very touching to finally meet Raul and Darlene.
Hopefully we will get a cameo or two as Tally Ho progresses in Port Townsend.
There will be a whole lot more resources at hand in her new shed
I know I'm ten months behind by this video brought me to tears. How wonderful to meet the magical couple who made this all possible.
DITTO!
When I learned about the “nasty neighbour “ I felt sorry for him . After listening to Raul I now have no sorrow - just anger. Those sort of people are just bullies - not worthy of sympathy. If this upsets some then tough - it’s my opinion
Best wishes to Raul and Darlene. That was one of the most touching things I've seen in some time. Good people. Much love
I love that the move was a “come out of retirement”, “one last heist”, oceans 11 style mission.
No kidding - and not an easy move either - look at the clearance getting around the house1
This video was the most beautiful thing I ever saw on so many levels. Raul and Darlene are golden. The moving guys are so skilled. Leo and the crew are awesome. And Tally Ho is so beautiful
This is crazy. I have never met any of these people. I probably never will. But this group of people and these pieces of wood (and bronze) have me emotionally invested.... in a way that I did not expect. All the best to you and your wonderful crew
I 100% agree with you!
And lead but I guess the lead isn't attached at the moment
IKR. 👍👏🏻
If there was a dry eye’d viewer after Raul and Darlenes interview, then they are stronger than I. What a beautiful couple and many thanks to both of them for making this project a reality.
I’m not crying… you are.
I cried both tears of joy and sadness
Very moving and priceless bit with Raul & Darlene, thank you for inviting us into this very special time. It's also great to see how much Pancho loves Raul and is loved right back. Excellent.
Mark and Associated Boat Transport are legends! Thanks so much for being a part of the community Leo has created.
To Raul and Darlene, thank you. Your initial kindness may have only been intended for Leo and Tally Ho, but you've brought kindness, joy, and happiness to me through giving Tally Ho a home. Please know that strangers on the internet love you and want the best for you. I am truly grateful for you and the others like you, who quietly go about making the world better, not looking for any recognition.
Tell Raul that Ben says hi! I went to boat school with him and we spent many happy days working together building a catboat and mahogany runabout. He is an awesome guy and I miss working with him.
After watching Raul and Darlene’s segment I’m certain Tally Ho is a true labor of love. 🥲
Raul and Darlene, thanks so much for making this adventure possible. Your generosity has been instrumental in creating the Tally Ho community. And isn't that what life is about?
What inspirational people Marlene & Raul are. They must feel like they are having a son leave for uni. They are superb people. And what an unbelievable driver Mark is. He certainly hasn't lost any of his driving skills since he retired. It is so good to see the REAL America. Genuine people, not the phoneys we usually get to see on the TV with their pumped up lips & their creaky LA voices. So refreshing to see these wonderful genuine people. It makes us want to visit that part of the USA. And Leo, what a superb ambassador for us in the UK. Your work ethic is incredible. It's no wonder you have inspired all those helpers, both paid, & volunteers. You are the real star of the video. My pathetic woodworking lack-of skills is highlighted but they have given me inspiration. My shelves will never be so good.
I didn’t think you could make me cry, but that interview with Raoul and Darlene...
The video's over and I'm just reading the comments and still weeping.
@@creageous Ditto - for the third time 😂. I already know I'm going to keep coming back to watch this episode and read all the comments again and again - for as many years as I have left to me, if possible. THAT is how wonderful and moving Leo, his wonderful team and Tally Ho's continuing adventure is to me.
Raul & Darlene are angels on Earth; the neighbor who set the debacle in motion, leading to the boat move, not so much.
God bless Raul and Darlene for welcoming us into their home!
Sad to see Megan go, you can tell she’s gonna be a brilliant engineer
Why this channel does not have 10 million subs I’ll never know. It’s by far the best RUclips channel, so inspiring, it really is the epitome of community, be it your hosts, friends, volunteers, people from all walks of life from across the world in person or the Internet. It’s the only channel that has made me feel that I’m part of something. Even though my contribution is minuscule, I really do feel invested in this project. Thank you Leo.
Because, people are stupid and they like trash videos with kids doing stupid but kinda lovely things or doing just stupid things.
What a wonderful couple, God bless them for all they have been through and done for Leo
Hi did you go to Looe secondary school.
This is seriously one of the best series I've ever watched, on youtube or TV. The genuinely wonderful people, level of quality in production, it's unbelievable. All the best Leo, I'm really looking forward to watching the next evolution of the Tally Ho project
Wow, that was powerful. I choked up hearing from Raul and Darlene and then seeing Leo alone at sunset up on deck. Life is good.
That was a hell of a driver.
You, your crew, your hosts, the dogs, Pancho, are the best thing to ever happen to RUclips. The perfect antidote to all the horrors in the world today. Thank you all.
Hear, hear!
Megan's smile when the engine turned over.... She gets it.
I thought the exact same thing.
Yeah, Megan’s totally cool!
Great way to spend one's teenage years: Flipping bikes! YES! You go Megan! Stop and see Mike Patey on your way home!
Megan is very inspiring. I'd like to see her working on the boat again.
Somebody has probably already said this, But this was an incredibly MOVING episode, in more ways than one! All the best to everybody involved especially Raul and Darlene.
Raul looks fittingly 'piraty', like he could be the one dispensing the grog. Just when you thought this endeavor couldn't get any more lovely, inspiring, and all-round beautiful, now this... Come for the woodworking, stay to watch a dynamo of good-vibes attract a whole ecology of beautiful souls.
The driver perfectly nailed the reversal into the shed on the first try, that man is a true Master.
As an ex-trucker, I can say that reversing into the shed was the easy bit - the nail-biting was all on getting past the house extracting Tally Ho from her home over the last few years.
I think you'd need a set of feeler gauges to accurately measure the clearance there, whereas a boatyard is laid out and geared up for boat movements.
35 years of experience, what else you would expect?
Well, to be fair, he'd done it there before . . . once . . . 4 years ago . . . ha ha
If there was ever video that blatantly displayed kindness cures, it's this one. ❤️
Really nice to finally "meet" your hosts. Wonderful people.
It's kind of a good thing she was moved now. Another layer of paint and she would not have made it out.
Lol legit
What a beautiful moment with Raul and Darlene.
I'm watching the whole Tally Ho journey once more. Poor Darlene - even from these short interview clips, she was obviously a beautiful, caring, thoughtful & loving person. The world has lost a shining light. Her friends & family - most of all Raoul - must be missing her terribly. Somewhere n the heavens, a new star was born the day she passed away.
thank you Mark for coming out of retirement for this trip
Definitely. A truely talented professional.
Let's not forget to thank the new owners of his family's company for agreeing to put Mark back behind the wheel for this new move, bringing Tally Ho closer to the sea where she ultimately belongs.
@@jimurrata6785 Oh, definitely. I guess he is still maintaining his CDL license even though he retired as well. A definite thanks to the new owners of the company for bringing him back on for this move.
@@thomasarussellsr Staying on top of that medical card well into retirement is dedication!
I just turned 90 Years Young! and feel like a kid in the candy shop watching the progress you all are building "Tally Ho". It's folks like you and your team that makes me realize that there is more good folks in this world then bad.
Good Luck and God Bless! ( plus Talley Ho)
After all these years, I was really moved to see Raul and Darleen, what generous people. Thanks for your videos.
So glad you interviewed Mark. While the boat was moving we were wondering what he thought of the change in the boat from the time he dropped it off until he picked it back up. Amazing video full of raw emotion from so many people. So sorry to hear Darlene has since passed. Heartbreaking.😢
The amount of people this project has helped during the pandemic is amazing.
Thank you all.
I first thought Leo was lucky to get the shop and space for his rebuild, I think more than luck, it was Leo's honest warmth and personality that drew good people to his project. Leo has a large extended family through his host, shipwrights and supporters.
This one brought tears to my eyes. Bless the property owners ,they are good people . Please give them a hug and thank them for me.
this episode is just full of emotions and so professionally done, this could easily be on National Geographic or other prime time service. should have an award.
Absolutely - - runs circles around Ice Road Truckers.
This is just another example of how many people this project has touched in one way or another. Thanks Leo and team and to all that have participated including patreons and followers. Special thanks to Raul & Darlene for being such wonderful hosts!
That look on Pete's face after his trailer description was priceless.
yeah he likes that technology :)
I've been anxiously anticipating the release of this latest video and it's a real beaut! The drone footage was excellent as was the manuevering the boat between the house and the trees. Thank you for finally introducing Raul and Darlene to us Tally Ho supporters and fans. They are clearly a fabulous couple and in their own way a big , big part of the Tally Ho project. Thanks again to Leo and all those who have volunteered along the way. The boat looks amazing. Forge on!
@31:00 hearing these kind of stories of people participating in something bigger is one element that makes this channel pretty cool...
Seeing your hosts for the first time was the love we all need to see in the world
That was incredibly touching, meeting Raul and Darlene, such awesome folks.
This should've been titled "Most Wholesome Episode Ever"
Couldn't have said it better
What a completely lovely couple of people. Leo, you didn't just rebuild a boat. You brought light & love with you. I am sad for their loss of you as a daily presence in their lives.
