We need more teachers like you who just get straight to point instead of explaining every little detail that a novice wouldn't comprehend very well and isn't all that important anyway. Good work
Really helpful for most dark music really not only black metal. So these can pretty much be used in melodic crust, doom, even sludge if you play them way slower.
The brief episodes of spoonfeeding were very much appreciated ! 6 weeks after picking up my first guitar, I can say with some authority that the information you're providing here is effectively impossible to find elsewhere - from the definition of 'chords', to which scales should be learned - absolutely outstanding lessons, thanks for showing us the left hand path
I dunno how often you check the comments on your old videos, but I just wanted you to know you've done an incredible job with this series of videos. You're an excellent teacher and from what I can tell, I'm not the only one who thinks so.
Started playing a few years ago, but lessons kinda dropped off the radar recently. Learned quite a bit of music theory, but never really was able to connect the dots between the modal scales and chords for some reason. This video literally solved that problem, thank you for all the time you put into your channel!! Looking forward to the rest of this playlist, be well \m/
Hah, this was the lesson I needed. I've played for a while but only recently took theory seriously. I've been playing around with these types of power chords and now I know how they fit in with theory and metal. Thanks.
Im really enjoying the content dude as im trying to learn BM guitar quickly so i can put it with my drums also its cool to see someone else from england God bless dude from Birmingham
Man, great lessons ! Hate when somebody just shows what he plays and then just a little slower, expecting everyone to understand and remember ))). You explain theory and fingering and show very slowly that even a giraffe like me get it !
Nice Video! I find out. At 6:10 you are switch between E-Minor and E-major scale. 7th fret on E and 5th on A is the minor diatonic and 7th and 4th is major diatonic. Now i understand diatonic! Thx
Your hair is amazing, but it's gotta get tangled constantly. Mine does and it's very similar. Though it's way more curly in a lot of places so maybe that's why. And I love the guitar! What're the pickups? They sound amazing; there's absolutely no ambient buzzing sounds going on, and I'd really like to install some on my Les Paul.
Hahah, thanks, I have shorter hair now They’re EMGs, the ENGL fireball I’m using has an in built noise gate which helps a lot with feedback, and making sure the volume is rolled down when not playing is also helpful
Thanks!! I learn the scals (if i new them ithis would've been even better and like other comments really spill information): thats me listening to metal not a frown wow i have sense of humor...
Dean Razorback V - Changed the Dimebag pickups to EMGs (BUT NOW WISH I PUT FISHMANS IN THEM LOL) Running through my Engl Fireball 100 head and Blackstar Series 1 oversized straight cab
So, in A minor (a, b, c, d, e, f, g, a) the diatonic chords you could make would be: Minor: a, b, d, e Major: c, f, g These use the shame finger shapes as you showed. Is this correct?
Great DEV!! great for beginers, im a beginer on 54 years, i know never will play fantastic but like me and enjoy playing. I would ask you for a NUX MG300, could be good for this type of sound?? best regards and thanks for all
