The fact that the pickaxe went back to her implies that she was still alive after the fall.
During the end part the screen said she died
@@rshtg2019 maybe a warden found her
@@marixsunnyotp3142 Perhaps why she was under the table
Her feather falling do be strong tho
@@DragoonDyte she used sneak-landing
Oh boy, sure does look like nothing awful is gonna happen here
yea..
Yup 👍🏾
Just gotta find a puddle of water.
Yup
Dude it’s simple
Just get a cat and ride it
Cats always land on their feet
That's why you dig a 2x1 hole and stand in the middle, then dig out one side, then the other
genius
I always do that I ain't risking everything I have
There are a number of ways, but I prefer the spiral staircase (3x3/5x5 hole with the center as a pillar). You get more resources and an easier way of creating branching tunnels on different levels of the staircase, basically making the shaft a central mining hub.
This i what I thought they were doing when mining down to the coal because I had known not to do it for so long that my brain literally didn’t process it as a possibility.
@@YasugoLiehu I prefer combining the 2x1 hole with a water. FYI, you need a block of water in front of you to enable fast swimming, and having a bit of space also gives a tiny boost. Bam, instant mining hub, with a relatively quick elevator (seriously, some guys still use those staircases where you constantly bonk your head. Srl, update aquatic have been released 4 years ago)!
Just realized the small detail that she actually gets coal from the coal ore, and stone from the rest of the blocks. It's easy to miss especially since the pattern could seem like it's just there to vary the background otherwise, neat!
@mlg noob The pickaxe being picked up after the fall, suggesting the player is still alive, but right after it showing the death screen, is another inconsistency
Wow I didn’t notice that
Actually, she gets both coal and iron ore, you can see when she breaks the first and last block that it is different than when she breaks the iron ore blocks ^^
@@playwars3037 How is this a contradiction from what I said.
@@TheAdvertisement You said she gets stone from all blocks but coal ore. And it wasn't meant to be a contradiction, just pointing out another detail.
I love the fluid animation of swinging the pickaxe. Also the body language of the player is so relatable. "What are you doing under there?" "I don't wanna talk"
This looked so cool, the land scape. It looks so endless, the colors are the best part of it. Great job!
At first I thought this was a joke comment, then 0:21 hit
I agree
I agree 👍
But I really want to see her play the game herself 🤣
Looks like made in abyss
What colors?
The foreshortening when they fall is genuinely so impressive??
That entire falling animation is really damn good
What's foreshortening? Drawing things that are far away with detail?
@@Omega-AlexGt applying perspective, basically.
Like, look at how close (big) their hand gets.
New Word learned
Before it was explained, I thought it meant something happening abruptly with little context
Kinda like the opposite of foreshadowing
@@nicreven So its like making it more realistic?
@Alejandro Garcia yes, by making things that are closer to you bigger and vice versa it makes the drawing look more 3D
Gosh, imagine a day when a game like Minecraft could run at a scale like this, you hit my mile high cave obsession.
i guess i could kinda get that effect bc i have a pc powerful enough to run minecraft at max render distance and still get 100+ fps
Thats just cubic chunks with bigger caves
@@biggocelot123 Not sure if cubic chunks has a version for 1.18 but that would be incredible
...and terrifying

sorry im not very good at listing specs lol
Ok first off that 2D to 3D effect as she first starts falling is cool as hell. And the different layers of the cave she falls through are awesome!
There are so many times where I've thought about digging straight down, reconsidered it and dug adjacent instead, and then discovered I was right about lava or a giant cavern. It's genuinely a helpful tip.
'don't dig straight down' has been an unofficial rule since day 1, but since 1.17 it's become absolutely vital to follow
I really like how that’s set up, how when you start falling, it starts with the upper barren parts of the caves, likely scorched by the sun, but you see the fog below it leading to a more lush, and possibly humid cave system with plenty of warm water to supply it, and what else would be heating the water other than the hot lava of the nether, but once you go past the more active and hotter parts of the nether, your left with the dark, empty, coldness of the deep dark, I just love environmental storytelling!
Me tooooo!
It's beautiful..adding it to my favourites playlist.
That was a drip stone cave and not the nether, but still, nice comment
Wait what? This is actually in Minecraft?
The Nether is not below the overworld, it is an entirely different dimension
Fun fact: The song playing in this video is one of the newer Minecraft music discs. Otherside by Lena Raine, a total masterpiece go check it out!!
Ty I was trying to figure out the song name it’s my new favorite song
yeah. Really makes you wish for an extended cut to match the full song or loop.
Lena Raine is in general and amazing VGM composer and I highly suggest checking out any of her work, ESPECIALLY her work on Celeste, which is also an amazing game I would recommend to literally anyone willing to listen.
@@ugxsan im someone willing to listen!! we need more positivity in the world, tell us about celeste >:D i bought the game for an old friend in like 2018-ish and i know someone who plays it now!
C418 is no longer making mc tracks...
Those backgrounds actually made my jaw drop a bit, especially the ancient city one, absolutely stunning art.
some looked like the anime called "made in abyss"
@@poklijn3390 I was wondering if they took inspiration from that
@@poklijn3390 i was just about to say that
Pretty sure those back drops were based on terraria.
Could be wrong though. I just saw cave, jungle, and hell respectively.
That second background at 0:26 looks straight out of bastion! Absolutely beautiful!
This was genuinely thought provoking and beautiful for me, i wish to incorporate this kind of beauty into my work in the future also your animation style and colors are very soft and pleasing, its all so calming and just nice.
As someone who just killed the warden, this was very calming and perfectly timed and I def needed this lol.
Yooo
I'm trying to beat the Warden right now actually! Just on a short break cause oh man that was terrifying
I probably should've put the volume down a bit :'D
@@user.LCW01 lol, good luck! My advice would be to brew potions of the turtle master and make 1×2 3 block deep tunnels near wherever you're fighting it, if you can't get your hands on any enchanted golden apples.
Tell me, why did you beat warden when you supposed to avoid it
@@Vaxedia Minecraft is not a horror, avoiding don't make any fun. Fight strong mob probably stronger than any boss is fun.
@@Vaxedia so I can say that I've killed every mob (even the new ones) even tho Bedrock doesn't have an advancement for it.
This gives me made in abyss vibes
The caves should look like that
They can... If you have a good computer, shaders, and a lot of visual mods.
My iPad will instantly generate enough heat to cause a nuclear meltdown
@@labbit35 You should be grateful MC doesn't looks like that, because otherwise neither of us will be able to play it
i was thinking the same thing about MiA
Yoooo I thought so tooo
Oooh, man that foreshortening when there was the flailing stumble is impressive. Wonderfully done.
This gives me Made in Abyss vibes, and I love it
I loved the stomach drop feeling of mining a block from under you, followed by the awe and wonder of falling great distances thru incredible places. Then it goes SPLAT!
Pastel when digging: small movement, basic camera work
Pastel when falling: *s m o o t h n e s s*
Anyways this is super pretty and the backgrounds are amazing!
i feel like that's a really cool aspect of it tho, (no hate, just saying I liked that)
@@dailyfluff9105 I don't think there is any non convoluted way that what you said could be seen as hate.
To be fair, the falling is looped, allowing more time to be spent on such a small thing
@@Connor_Montgomery You're overestimating how smart people can be
@@Connor_Montgomery challenge accepted.
"cool"? as in not hot? you're calling the creator ugly??? how DARE
(/s)
Okay, but can we take a moment to appreciate how much effort those backgrounds must have taken! This is incredible!
Exactly they're so pretty!
it doesnt take as much effort as you think since art is all about illusions
@@Cristofercat well I don't know about that, maybe some art, yes, but a lot of art is very detailed and/or takes a lot of time to not only draw but learn how to draw. Effort doesn't always mean drawing time, but perspective practice, attention to detail, colour theory all include effort to make look good!
Have a great day!

That falling animation was so smooth, and relaxing especially the choice of music, that it actually motivates me to do more art, and animation.
“Never dig straight down” has a whole new meaning with the caves and cliffs update.
This gave me a feeling of wonder; a lot of it.
Thank you.
The fact that the animation is so smooth and the backgrounds are well drawn, this is amazing!
this was so smooth and fluid, the falling animation was EVERYTHINGGG
So pretty, I want a relaxing playlist with this falling sequence on repeat. It's so comfy... until you break like every single bone in your body from the impact.

Hey, that's actually a good idea. You think they'll make a video if we ask?
This is a sick video! love the falling animation super cool!
The Music really also makes it feel like Minecraft, its this nostalgic feeling of being able to spend ours on end exploring the world
Edit, its one of the new Minecraft soundtracks actually
Do you know the name?
@@PrimordialWon Minecraft: Otherside by Nestalgica. It's a music disc introduced to the game in 1.18.
@@almostquasi It’s actually made by Lena Raine smh…
The best part is that the Otherside music disc can be found in ancient cities, where Flurry ends her fall. This adds such a nice detail
Tip: prepare a water bucket when you go straight down and keep it next to your pick in the hotbar.
Anyways cool bg art for the falling scene
@Brightest Fool Two possibilities:
-> You fail to MLG. The lava burns your items up
-> You succeed to MLG. The horde proceeds to pick you apart and use your spoils
@@chaomatic5328 It's a good thing I have Keep Inventory on.
@@chaomatic5328 horde??
@Brightest Fool solution: dig 2blocks wide with water streaming down next to you, making sure the water gets down faster than you do, and is always 1 or 2 blocks deeper, so it doesn't flow into your lane. This way, it'll block out the lava and cover the obsidian with water preventing you from dying.

This is how I imagine falling with caves in cliffs would feel. You nailed it and made it look beautiful. Great job.
oh how over the years, we got to comfortable. we felt like we had seen it all, and we know to listen for lava. This deeper world update is satisfying, and you captured the fall and explore very well ^^ Subscribed!
This made me remember made in abyss with it's gorgeous cave landscapes
Ahh I loved this! The scenes during the fall were so pretty!
That looked like made in abyss concept art, this video was stunning.
omg i have that feelin as well
Only in my wildest dreams could minecraft have such endless and fantastical places to explore
Honestly if that would actually happen in Minecraft I would dig straight down more often.
Same
You actually have about a 60% chance of hitting bedrock and even if you fall into lava, just use water bucket and if you fall into a deep cave, use water bucket
Same with digging up, torch at your feet so gravel and sand are harmless
Dirt blocks in case of lava you can block the lava and then just dig like 20 blocks to the side, also just don’t dig into the lava you can see the dripping
I freaking love this! Keep on doing whatever you do we will support you every step of the way!👍❤️
I love this so much its incredibly cute and the animation is so clean and nice looking. Also this has happened to all of us, just looking for material and ... "Oh i guess im falling now."

The fact that the pickaxe gravitated towards her means she's still alive.
AHA! I knew someone else would notice!
But then at the end she's hiding under her desk and on her screen it says "you died!" Weird...
It looks beautiful and I am so glad to see a video from you! Keep up the great work!
I’m am in awe dude- that fall animation was gorgeous please keep this up! You will inspire so many people and you’ve just sparked my creativity with this
I like how they're hiding under the table at the end, so sad but so wholesome. ;u;

That would be really fun if they stopped expanding out and just started moving up and down, make the sky a physical surface you can build to and dig through and there being layers of world below you. It would be unfeasible, but cool.

Massive “made in abyss” vibes. Its my favorite anime in terms of look and sound design. You somehow combined that and Minecraft perfectly so cudos.
This single animation shows more creativity than Mojang has this update and they had a year and a professional team. Incredible work!

I adore the music drop with the actual fall!
It’s always awesome to come across a huuuuge open area underground!
Too bad she didn’t have a water bucket though :( Hope the drop was fun at least;;;

I just really liked that when they fell down it had showed the layers of the world.
Also very good soundtrack overall great animation. :D
No matter how old are you, how busy are you, how high you climb in our world - Minecraft is always gonna pop up in your heart, not constantly, but when its remind you - you always cry and want to return
This had such a lovely carefree feel till the landing. I must confess, I had a gasp and sorrow at the end.
Boy, I do love falling into a small hole and to see what looks like a completely new world and then falling to my demise a few moments later.
The concept of being torn between sheer beauty and the fact that you are about to die is such a nice one to me
i cant tell you how many times i watched this video. the designs are super cute and the animation is just on another level. i love the detailing in all the little movements
I love the idea of this, instead of being the void, there could be different areas and worlds below.
Caves that are the size of the sky.
VERY interesting concept. I need a show about this now.
The first time playing minecraft felt exactly like this. Made the same mistake and just ended up seeing the ground come rushing at me.
Ended up surviving with a heart and a half.
When you hear the OTHERSIDE music and start jamming while dying
You can tell she lived at the end because she was able to pickup the pickaxe. I like that little touch :3
im going to cry, this is so beautiful 😭
and the ending was flawless🥺💓💖
I started playing Minecraft again shortly after the Cave update, but I had not read a single patch note for years so the last thing I knew about Minecraft was probably 2014 or 2015. It was a bit of a shock to fall into an almost spherical cave and to find out that Bedrock was much further down than I remember. Somehow I made it out of that cave, but it was a very close call because of the mobs. I really liked the almost peaceful feeling of the falling section of the video, even if it was violently interrupted lol.
