One more preview video I made during my prep while waiting for the new action. Wanted to show off some of these great items from MK Machining. They have a lot of cool and really well made products. If you have any questions or want to see something else from them, let me know and I'll make a video focusing on that for you! Enjoy this one and I'll have the build video out later this week. I'm excited to share it with you all!! Have a great week.
@p47rr Sorry took a bit to reply! Yesterday was crazy hectic at work and had to do some loading when I got home. Testing a few things this weekend while I get ready for my local season's final PRS match of the year. My first season trying PRS!! Hope to finish well. I totally agree!! Awesome products, I quite enjoy every item I get from them. I need to test their grip next. Planning to after this last match. I didn't want to make any changes during the season. But yes, their website is cumbersome. It could use an update! Also, their customer service is top notch, so that more than makes up for the site design, in my opinion. I'd rather have bad website, good products/support than slick looking site for trash products and crap support on the after sale service side of things!! Maybe someday they will get us a new site! Until then, I will keep using their products and being happy with them!! Thank you for checking out one of my videos! I hope to see you on more videos in the future! I hope you have yourself a great weekend!!
It is a nice one for sure!! Got a deal I couldn't pass up, so made the choice pretty easy 🤣 Should have the full build video out tomo evening!!! Thanks for stopping by Paul!! Have a great rest of the week!
Thanks, Minnie!! Another hour away from the house, then home to edit for an hour to try and get the build video finished for Thursday. Excited to show it off finally!! Have a good evening!!
It is turning out really nice!! Should have the build video done for Thursday evening. Really excited to show it off. Now it needs to stop raining so I can get to my range 🤣 Thanks for watching, and have a great week!!
That's a nice scope and accessaries, Chad. Your rifle's going to weigh over 15 pounds, Buddy!😅😅🤠🤠 I wouldn't care. We going after accuracy, here. I have an Arken SH4 gen 2. I like it.
Thanks, Jamie!! I got it weighed without a mag and it's at 19.4 pounds!! She stays still tho! Tonight's video has some range time in it, and you can see how still it is. I'm kinda shocked how well it's working. Gonna have to do a video on the brake, got a few fun ideas to try and show how much force blows out to the sides. It's impressive!! I hear good things about the Arken products. I got a deal offered to me by Vortex directly, so I went with the highest end I could. It should work well for what I'm planning to do with it!! Thanks again for checking this one out, and I'll see ya on the next ones! Have a great day, sir!!
@@ChadKelly7 I thought long about a 6Creed Build. Its ballistics attracted me. But I forever wanted a 6mm Rem and it should be superior. I thought about improving the 6mm Rem case to assure that preformance. I had already decided 10+ years look waiting and passing on factory 6mm Rem as well as owning many 243's Id build my 6mm Remington. I choose a long action so I could fully utilize the 57mm case length. Then a 1:8 twist for the newer long bullets. But stopped short modifying the case. I have been shooting 105/107's @ 3150+ fps into under 1/2" 100y groups. I have a few videos about it and what I did that might give you ideas.
@CW That is awesome! You got those cooking!! I'm hoping to not be too hot with this so I can make the barrel last, but it supposedly burns thru barrels around 2,000 rounds. Going to track it and see what I get. Sounds like you went an excellent route for what you wanted from the round. My goal is PRS match shooting, so picked a common caliber that others use and I can still source good factory loads if I need them. Debated 6GT or 6BR, but didn't want to be stuck in only my own loads. Not at that experience level yet. I'll get there tho!! I'll look into your videos on that 6 Rem and see what ideas I can get from it!! Sounds like a great build for sure!!!
@@ChadKelly7 its not gonna "burn up" a barrel in 2000 lessin your shooting it when its FAR TOO TEMP WARM. OR your tracking ultimate top end accuracy. Stop shooting when its too hot to HOLD YOUR HAND on barrel. Enjoy the preformance attainable. Unless your a ultimate bench rest shooter its gonna last you FAR FAR more then 2000 rounds.
That is exactly what I've found on my own research. My main range buddy who wanted me to get .308 or 6.5CM keeps saying I'm going to "burn my barrel out super fast", lol. But I looked into it and as long as I don't run too hot and especially keep shooting when the barrel itself is hot, then I shouldn't be too bad. Part of the build process video I'm getting finished tonight is showing that I put on one of those temp strips so I can actually monitor the barrel temp and know when to take a break and let it cool. I'll probably be getting one of those barrel cooler fans as well. We have temps over 105 pretty regular in the summer, so I'll have to go out on hot days, but I'm going to be keeping an eye on the actual barrel temps and taking my time so I don't do anything stupid. I will be working up a load that is focused on the performance. Planning to take it easy during practice days and then run hard on matches and try to cool barrel between stages. Should be a solid plan, but I'm sure I'll have to tweak it as I go. Learning this all as I do it!! Nice to have a community of people that can share their experience with me to help point me in the right directions for sure!! I truly appreciate it. Thanks for the info today!!
Well that's interesting, Michael. I have had 2 needs for customer service. 1st cap on my AR Razor was a few thousandths big and didn't lock on after I took it off to reset my diopter with new glasses. They sent a replacement no problem. Then this had a bad mold on the objective end. They are sending me one of those when they do another run in a week or so. Maybe I have gotten lucky, but so far I've had excellent experiences with them!! I can try to reach out to the guy I've been talking to there if you think it might help? Let me know! Thanks for watching even with your experience, though. I appreciate that a lot! Hope you have a good evening and stay tuned for Thursday, should have the build video done by then!!

Great video Chad...... I do not like MK.... they screwed me over and won't admit it and refund my money......
