Support me and the channel, by buying my book "What We Get Wrong About Crocodilians" (link below). It takes a look at subjects many get wrong about these animals from giant crocodiles, alligators in sewers, the Ramree massacre, them eating fruits, and more. Link below to buy on either Amazon, Lulu (international), or Barnes & Noble for paperback, OR on Google Books and GumRoad for digital. *Australian buyers, buy through Lulu. Amazon will not ship to Australia.

I think it shows that old measurements really needed to be treated with a healthy skepticism. Also there was no rule on how to measure an animal in those days. It’s terrific they kept the skull, actual proof and with known skull to length ratios of very large crocs around 1:9 not 1:7, theses beasts are still massive, but within known lengths. It proves so far that the 1:9 ratio is working and none of these 8 m plus crocodiles ever existed in modern times.
    Great work!

I sent Jake a video. The more I watch it the more I'm amazed. I think it depicts a genuine fully grown crocodile 23 feet or better in my opinion. It's the biggest one I've seen in my life. I really didn't know they got that big easily 1.5 metres across the back when it's in water. The head is approaching 1 metre total length. There are still monsters out there guys. I have no doubt less developed countries can facilitate even bigger animals possibly breaking the accepted max size of 23 ft which is where I'll put the one in the video I sent Jake. My aunty was a park ranger in Kakadu and she told me she saw one over 7 metres long... I don't think the 7 metres is a myth as much as it is an extreme rarity. There may only be less than 5 monsters like that in Australia out of now an estimated millions of crocodiles. There may be only 5 in the world out of salties and niles. Craziest footage I'm truly blessed to have gotten to see it. I used to think 6 metres was a more logic max size as the biggest ones we can confirm are 6-6.3 now I think 6.5-7.5 is
A good range for maximum size.

It would be like 5,000 lbs or more and that means without the water to support its weight it would likely crush its own organs. Because they kill hundreds of people.. not everyone lives in a nice home in the city people live in the damn jungles and there are still villages and very much 3rd world conditions in these countries dude... you should watch some documentaries about Africa and see how bad shit is ans go over there and get mad at the villagers when they kill a man eating lion or croc and see what happens 😂 it's the white man that hunted these animals to near extinction the people living jn these places only kill the ones that eat people bruh 😂
