None of your player character background ever came up? Blame your ref! OK, yes, there's no mechanical benefits to them, but that doesn't mean that a ref should not use them in the game! The skills that the GM uses? Nah, I tell the Ref what my PC does, not the other way around. Sounds like you guys need to talk to your GM and be active members of the game. Dude said that players would have to talk about their characters and the game to make them useful! Fucking DUH! Do you not play with friends? Do you not play to have fun? Do you not collaborate with each other to ensure the game provides what everybody wants out of it?! Doesn't seem like it!

They do have the guns and gear, on Black Chrome. Wish it was in the main book, I agree
