You can even get rfid like wedding rings I plan on putting in each of my project trucks
Dude, that's and awesome idea!!
@@GoatRopeGarage a guy on one of my Mazda truck pages did it he has a channel on here too it’s Mazda Mitch. I wasn’t aware of how much rfid things you can purchase until I came across him using that ring
At least you owned it and didn’t delete that part out!! Lmao
Dude I was eating watching and I about jump out of my damn seat lol
I got one of these in the mail a few weeks back. Thought I was being original... so the brown wire is a ground huh? I'm a huge fan of the content/ aspiring tuner. I think seeing a little human error once in a while is awesome btw. I love learning from others mistakes when possible. Thanks again!
thanks for the tips ive been lookin for these type of videos for da longest
just to recap - brown is to ground. Great, I'm putting one in my '68 Mustang so appreciate the heads up.
You made my dad laugh so hard lol
5:06 I came for the old school Nova build - stayed for the ground to battery positive. G-d damn I never laughed so hard. I've done much worse. Pro tip: the top of a battery is NOT a workbench or a place to put your wrenches - (top post terminals) lol
Electroboom moment @5:13 😂😂😂
Oh my god I spit my drink all over the place right out my nose !!!!
Did you run into a problem turning ignition off after performing a long crank sequence?
What if you are in Aux mode and then press the brake pedal and then hit the button again? will is go straight into start up or will it only go in to ignition on mode?
Does it work/have a sensor for door lock on outside as well? I'm currently driving a rented tesla and to get in, you have to tap the keycard on the driver b pillar. Then you have to tap it on console near cupholders to actually "start" the car.
On the gauge cluster left bottom where your working on the wires next to sum bolts theres a little black botton on mine and im just trying to figure out if its factory or after market tryna put a carbon fiber gauge cluster on a 1970 nova
How do I get a wire diagram for my Honda Civic Sports model 2018 is not in my manual
What are the links to the products? Rfid module?
I just installed one of these in a buddy's C 10. Didn't ground the brown wire, but maybe next time...lol..
Was his vehicle carburetor? Or fuel injection?
Wondering if this push button will work ok on a car that’s carburetor for cold start purposes.
Also, how long does it continue to send power to starter? Wondering if you hold the button in if it will continue to send power or no matter hold long you hold it in, it only sends power to starter for like 1-2 seconds. Is there a way to adjust how long it will crank the starter?
How do you like the gauges?
Hey man question for you, I want to install this in my nova. It’s a 72 Nova. It’s also carbureted. Is your nova carbureted? Does the push button crank the starter for as long as you push and hold in the button or does holding it in not matter, it’s only gonna crank for a sec or 2 then stop no matter how long you hold it in? I feel I could have issues with cold start because I’m carburetor and anyone with carburetor experience knows cold starts can take a few tries and longer cranks to get it to fire up.
Just wanna know these could concerns before I buy it.
Thanks
Do you know if the diameter is the same size as the old school ignition switch? Wondering if it will fit the stock location. I would like to refrain from making new holes.
For dash mounted keyed switches
Lmao 😂 been there before appreciate the info n vid
At least it was all 💨 smoke 💨.
Can someone please share the link to this product
Can I add one to a 455 buick motor?
I can’t believe its only 25$. I just saw this on a fb post and started digging for my jeep yj build. The only thing im going to do differently is add a hidden key switch wired in under the dash just incase so if i have an issue with the keyless system i can start it without ripping wires out. That and an air tag so i can track it if it disappears on me. Ive had two vehicles stolen and literally everyone has a cell phone. So the air tag is cheap insurance and almost impossible to find or detect.
Thats why you use a power probe!
Hopefully somebody can help me out I installed this on my 1994 roadmaster it starts up the accessory come on radio and everything but it won't crank when I press the brake and press button it just turns off
The lights just flash on the button
My ignition has four wires acc, ignition, battery, and solenoid, instruction don't say nothing where to put solenoid wire on the kit and solenoid starts the start to engage. Need help 350 engine with a 70 ignition switch.
Same here.
Would you be able use just the rfid side of it as a kill switch type set up
Probably not the best option, in sure there is an rfid relay that would work better for that so you could wire it in line to an existing setup
@@GoatRopeGarage will look into that i like the button idea but that light ring constantly on puts me off
Check the current draw when it's off. It might be a problem if the car regularly sits for a while.
Yeah, not ideal for a car that doesn't get driven.
Ground test sat.
I think transmitter was the word you were looking for. ;-)
Cool mod for the cost. Put the receiver ring in a console or docking location and then just set your phone up to TX the RFID via shortcut and golden. No key/fob needed. Now can you do something similar for the locks?
Man, I need to find an app for the phone thing. Was looking for one that would read the ID from the fob but it never would. The passive one with fobs supports proximity door locks, if I were ever to install power locks I would switch to it
@@GoatRopeGarage if you have Android then there are quite a few options. You could even put an RFID tag in the doc to trigger the phone to transmit the ignition RFID when the phone detects it upon docking. 😳🤯
But if you're on Crapple, I don't think there is any hope for you.... Other than coming to the dark side. 😂🤣😉
I'm on Android, but the two apps I've tried so far didn't work at all, any suggestions?
@Goat Rope Garage I'll do some investigation and testing today. There are some RFID types that don't work. One I came across was for the doors at my office.
@@GoatRopeGarage OK, so the phone RFID runs at 13.56 Mhz and from the best information I could find on the fobs used with this kit they are probably 125 Khz.
I was able to energize the key fob I have here and was able to confirm that it also uses 125 Khz and is similar but not exact to the fob used by your kit.
So no go with the phone idea. :-(
Flat rate short finder
EC004
An please tell people fresh batteries or it will not work
See see this why u don't smoke weed an work on cars
How not to test wiring for dummies lol
