I bought the complete edition with all the dlc back in april 2017 for 20€ in the psn store. For the 3 to 4 months that i played the game it was great. The servers were still on. Got the double platinum with the bikes update.
Fantastic video man, the editing definitely on point, and the writing and direction you took the video in really made me wish I could play this for myself!
Nice video (but I still got to finish it) . Also did u know Lamborghini just came out with the final edition of the aventador. Which means the aventador era will be coming to a end. I was really sad when I found out about this but how do u think about such a awesome car coming to end.
Driveclub reminds me the first time i played the original Race Driver Grid: Graphics had a unique style to it, unique atmosphere that made it look truly next-gen, and the sim-cade handling being responsive and visceral made racing really fun.
This would be great to have on PC with community support. Plus a re-release with all DLC (free and paid) included would be the easiest (and at times only) way to experience Driveclub's content. I know it'd sell incredibly well and get enough excitement for an eventual sequel.
Licenses for cars expired - meaning Sony won't bother to do anything. They also closed studio that worked on the game. But I have at least one good news - shadps4 (ps4 emulator) already managed to get into driveclub menu, obviously it will take months to get into playable state, but now it's only a matter of time.
Bought it from a pawn shop 2 weeks ago. In my first lap every when I realized there's no music playing, I knew then that this game is serious and must be something special. I was not disappointed, I compare it to SBK22, it's raw, connected and unforgiving. It forces you to be immersed otherwise you'll just crash a lot. I'm a very casual gamer so buying a steering wheel was never ever on the cards for me, but once I switched to using the motion control instead of the analog stick, I soon was searching for a used Logitech G series. Just for this game.
You’ve heard Very mixed things?🤔I always heard everyone say that it’s one of the best racing games ever. Also I don’t feel that this game is unforgiving whatsoever. it’s nothing like pure simulators. it’s actually much more fair than those. the unforgivingness of pure SIms is actually the reason why I don’t like them. I feel that the physics is perfect for my taste and I am an arcade/Simcade gamer. Btw no disrespect toward your opinion whatsoever if it sounds like I’m being snooty. I got this game about a year or two ago and I’ve only played a few races, not because I don’t like it because I love it. it’s because I have an incredibly ridiculous backlog that I don’t have too much time for honestly. I just have a bit of a game buying problem😂 I’m a sucker for deep sales. I am definitely going to go back to it one day and I can’t wait till I do. Great video as always, also👍🏼👍🏼
Yeah I’ve heard a lot of people hating on this game. I also meant to say that the game is much more unforgiving than other arcade racers, not necessarily sim racers(those are much, much harder) but thanks dude!
Not gona lie this video is well detailed. Love it. Driveclub is indeed nice and you mentioned @Moses B the game is a 2014 released car game and imagine the cockpit steering animations are 900 the character interacts with the cars with gear changing, pedal movements etc and these are things missing from Forza Motorsport and Horizon especially the 900 degrees cockpit steering animations can you believe a 2014 game on controller with 900 degree cockpit steering animations and i bet Forza Horizon 5 is coming without it smh 🤦🏽♂️
@@markeldik7057 wow really? I never played that one and listen to that an even older game with proper animations awfuk and the worse thing is that even with forza they get away with these small things mainly because of the audience which sucks. For the fact that i am a realism play style player that plays car games from the cockpit this game looks so good to play from there
@@BluebirdSim_MJChelsea yeah driver SF is really underrated. It's very clearly an arcade game, but I loved it and it has a pretty decent, if cheesy, story. I would compare it to hot pursuit 2010 in terms of driving, but a touch further in the arcade direction. On PC it even holds up reasonably well graphically. I would really recommend checking it out. IMO one of the best arcade racers of the last little over 10 years.
@@UltraViolet_Moses really sucks bro all it takes is just a little time at 3DS max doing the animations right. Thats all. And for Forza that even features formula drift cars this is something that should be in the game. Forza right now when a new horizon game drops all your paying for is the new location. Yea just the location. Project Car 3 even though the arcade feel struck it compared to PC2, PC3 is one of theeeeee best games i ever played on a controller that feels so fun, so enjoyable to play on no cap
I live in BC too, after seeing how beautifully they recreated it here I NEED to find a copy of this game. I have literally driven Lytton, Fraser Canyon, Vancouver irl in my little sports car! Shame this game isn’t easily available, step up PlayStation!
Sometimes when I’m stressed I just boot up driveclub and experience the McLaren f1lm or Ferrari fxxk in this game. It’s an experience only driveclub can give. Pure aural and visual spectacle. Thank you for the awesome video on a game that is a hidden diamond.
It’s kind of weird that you can’t buy it anymore. It doesn’t even show up in the library PlayStation app on my phone, but thankfully it still exists in my purchases on my PS4, I remember I got it for free through PS+ subscription years ago. For some reason it didn’t click with me. Thanks for reminding me this game exists (man, that’s sad).
My favorite racer of all time. Perfect balance between arcade/sim, stunning landscapes, ahead of their time by far. Preordered it as soon as it saw a teaser and wasn't disappointed. Sucks ass that Sony couldn't give Evolution Studios a mulligan after this beautiful racer. I would've purchased the successor in a heartbeat. I wished that they would've left the server up or at least moved to player hosting.
There are still alot of advancements that are not included in modern racers. A detail I always appreciated is startled birds flying up from the road or trees. AI is often overlooked as well and the best example of AI is from Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix series which ended around 2006.
I wanted to play this game SO. BAD. it's unfortunate that it was a playstation exclusive because maybe had it sold better on Xbox, it would've gotten more support and maybe even a 2nd version.
When i bought my PS5 i searched everywhere to buy this.. because i sold it long time ago and i regret it.. now i cherished this game i bought it brand new from Target
fantastic game and incredibly slept on when it released can't wait to finally get my software version jailbroken so I can play the DLCs. It's absurd how much content is locked behind unattainable DLC. Would LOVE to play with the bikes Love your videos btw carry on with the good work
Would you care to share how you went about jail breaking this one. It kills me that so much of the amazing content is impossible now due to them deactivating everything. Kills the joy smh
This is a very cool game! I have a few questions though. 1. Are there more camera angles available in the game than what you showed with the one? 2. Is this game available on Xbox consoles? Great video though! I enjoyed it!
For me, this game was and still is an amazing game and I also dont have the dlc which that is sad for me. I wish or hopefully It will come back to the store and buy the dlc. Also the one thing that satisfies me is when you get to choose a car, the driver goes up to the car, opens it and it's ready to go.
I unfortunately missed the dlc as well. I tried the bikes at a friends house and probably would’ve bought them if it wasn’t off sale. Unfortunately the studio was shut down so we will never get a sequel.
when i sold my ps4 Driveclub was and still is only one game from that console that i will miss for all my life and i trully think that Driveclub is the best acrade racing game of past 15 years and its sooo sad that we will never get a sequel as for Day gone 2 also but Days gone at least got PC port Driveclub must be ported to Pc and remastered too
great video for a great game ^^ did i miss it or did you forget that servers are down since 2021 so people can not unlook some cars? i think around 5 cars need a server connection not mentioning dlc stuff
nakasendo is the only track that fully tests every vehicle In every aspect. angled braking cornering flow higher end speed several acceleration spots its the best track in the game.
the arcade physics are something I genuinely enjoy with this game, it just feels like they were designed to be raw and brutal, yet for anyone to have fun trying to master them
Drive Club is one of my favorite racing games. I hate that I bought it after the servers shut down so I can't get the DLC . Great game it is really sad they disbanded the studio and there won't be any Drive Club games
You're wrong about the sales. The game sold over 2 million, which is good for a racer, while FMS sold 1.3 million. The issue was the launch and the bad write ups by people that tried the hatch back, 1st car, and decided the game wasn't good. FMS was a force back then and media sht on DC long before it was released. It's become a cult classic and I love that.
Of course these classics get left behind and so they should, if we are to enjoy the evolution of racing sims into the future. However... Forget them at your own expence, if you want to progress/Evolve as a driver! I have both DC and DC vr. PCars, 1,2 n 3. Grid, Grid Legends. F1 19, 20, 21,22. AC and ACC. I use them all for my practice and all of them offer something completely different, that helps in my pursuit, to up my driver rating and pace, within the GT 7 daily races. I have found that these old forgotten titles, enhance my ability to focus, because they are lower quality compared to modern sims. 👍🇬🇧🏁
I think people we're just need to have cut themselves some slack with "customization here JDM that" fcs because not every game can, and needs to have a NFS-type of car customization, I still fondly remember Driveclub get a lot of flack back in it's launch for lacking body customization & Japanese cars until they brought the 370Z, BNR34, and R35 Nismo through DLC and the cycle continues as they literally demanding TDUSC to have in-depth car customization
Would you all say that DC still possess the best looks and physics of any racer on the market today?? Im new to the game and i must say....compared to GT Sport its not even close. DC takes it. Havent played GT 7 so maybe someone else can make that comparison. But imo...ive had more fun with this compared to GT. Shame they knee-capped this...they were REALLY on to something
This and Wipeout Omega Collection were my favorite racing games on Ps4. But I have to say at launch the game was really bogged down by the dysfunctional online features. They should have scrapped all that and focussed on a proper campaign and just standard online multiplayer instead. Also, besides Bloodborne, the is the title that would most benefit off of a 4k60FPS remaster.
@@iwanttocomplain The Clubs didn't really work at launch, so essentially what it came down to were the little dynamic challenges (like who of your friends drove that particular corner the fastest etc.). Nice in theory, but nothing to write home about. This stuff shouldn't have been the feature the game was marketed around.
it´s sad to think that this game is going to disappear one day, or is going to be a rare game to get in the future because is exclusive for ps4 and it´s not it the PlayStation store.
sad end to this game, really... i havent kinda payed attention to it until recently, mostly because i never owned a ps4 now that i watch reviews and gameplays i feel like i missed out on it with all dlcs gone and servers shut down now too 😞
If only this game have gotten a ps4 pro treatment, or at least a ps5 remaster. But thats just wishful thinking, because sony simply disbaned the talented evolution studios.
In terms of graphics alone, Driveclub is still the most graphically beautiful racing game i ever seen. In terms of visuals atleast, it beats out all other racers.
Honestly? This game is the true sequel to the classic Need for Speed games (that being, 1 through 5). It basically perfectly carries the spirit of them while modernizing other aspects.
THNX Moses for a nice review! I really enjoyed, all's good's in this video 4 me. I don't have PS4/5 consoles and don't play Driveclub but on my Xbox One X I have very similar competitor: Project cars 2. I definitely recommended to try it! In my opinion Project cars 2 is a pinnacle in the series and the bests one even today: Looks stunning with 4K Enhanced, nice gamepad driving, cool car list and track variety (a specially with all DLC). Project cars 1 really hardest one to driving on gamepad with crappy 720p resolution on all Xboxes. Project cars 3 - worst in the series with lame arcade physics and cartoonish Dirt 5 graphics.
I never played this game, but i've heard only great things from players who did, so i have a question why was it discontinued, why did they not make a continuation, and i don't mean this as an irony.
@@UltraViolet_Moses it is a shame that Sony did not give a chance to the game creators to continue this project to improve and fix this game and learn from their mistakes and hopefully make a continuation that could posibilly have been succesfull.
Driveclub was a decent game. In my opinion it would have been more fun in an open-world setting. Limiting the club feature to closed circuits was a waste of potential.

Nice video (but I still got to finish it) . Also did u know Lamborghini just came out with the final edition of the aventador. Which means the aventador era will be coming to a end. I was really sad when I found out about this but how do u think about such a awesome car coming to end.
Yeah I’ll be talking about that in the next video
"A classic racer on a modern suit"
Best. Description. Ever
BTW I'm chilean, I can see that those Chilean landscapes are on point
Ever played driver San Francisco? That game is even older and has even better steering animations. Best ones I've seen so far.
@@markeldik7057 wow really? I never played that one and listen to that an even older game with proper animations awfuk and the worse thing is that even with forza they get away with these small things mainly because of the audience which sucks. Kids. Just wants to jump on the game and drive. Dont pay attention to small details like this if its not a problem the devs keep tip toeing around it. For the fact that i am a realism play style player that plays car games from the cockpit this game looks so good to play from there
900 degree steering is something that is dearly missed in arcade racers. Truly sucks most new games don’t have it
@@BluebirdSim_MJChelsea yeah driver SF is really underrated.
One of the greatest racing games of all time. I’ll never ever forget it. And will play it decades in the future. Soundtrack and graphics alone
i would love to see a racing game with the best stuff from crew 1 tdu 2 car handling from horizon 4 the map from crew 2
Best review of driveclub so far.
Also great shoutout to beautiful British Columbia. I Also live here.
Thanks! And awesome, BC is such a beautiful place
Drifting in the game is amazing when you actually get good at it. I have couple vids on my channel drifting.
Good video, glad you're liking the game
Sometimes when I’m stressed I just boot up driveclub and experience the McLaren f1lm or Ferrari fxxk in this game. It’s an experience only driveclub can give. Pure aural and visual spectacle. Thank you for the awesome video on a game that is a hidden diamond.
The McLaren F1LM is a beast, glad it still holds up for you
It’s kind of weird that you can’t buy it anymore. It doesn’t even show up in the library PlayStation app on my phone, but thankfully it still exists in my purchases on my PS4, I remember I got it for free through PS+ subscription years ago. For some reason it didn’t click with me. Thanks for reminding me this game exists (man, that’s sad).
You have to get it on disc, but it’s still playable
Thanks for sharing
@@UltraViolet_Moses Thanks for thanking me. :) Bit late but ok. A pass. At best.
There is really few of nice racers besides this sims with boring tracks.
Ah I can't wait for new TDU...and i hope there will be new burnout
I wanted to play this game SO. BAD. it's unfortunate that it was a playstation exclusive because maybe had it sold better on Xbox, it would've gotten more support and maybe even a 2nd version.
The game needed more support. If it got it it could have been absolutely insane
@@UltraViolet_Moses It really is an unfortunate injustice
When i bought my PS5 i searched everywhere to buy this.. because i sold it long time ago and i regret it.. now i cherished this game i bought it brand new from Target
I still play driveclub to this day and i'm just sad the multiplayer got shut down
fantastic game and incredibly slept on when it released
can't wait to finally get my software version jailbroken so I can play the DLCs. It's absurd how much content is locked behind unattainable DLC. Would LOVE to play with the bikes
Love your videos btw carry on with the good work
Would you care to share how you went about jail breaking this one. It kills me that so much of the amazing content is impossible now due to them deactivating everything. Kills the joy smh
A classic racer that small percent of ppl remember
It’s a modern game
This is a very cool game! I have a few questions though.
1. Are there more camera angles available in the game than what you showed with the one?
2. Is this game available on Xbox consoles?
Great video though! I enjoyed it!
Thanks dude, there are many camera angles in the game. And for the second question Driveclub is a PlayStation exclusive, so not on Xbox or PC
@@UltraViolet_Moses damn it. This game looks dope as hell.
Unfortunately the studio was shut down so we will never get a sequel.
when i sold my ps4 Driveclub was and still is only one game from that console that i will miss for all my life
and i trully think that Driveclub is the best acrade racing game of past 15 years
and its sooo sad that we will never get a sequel as for Day gone 2 also
but Days gone at least got PC port
Driveclub must be ported to Pc and remastered too
great video for a great game ^^ did i miss it or did you forget that servers are down since 2021 so people can not unlook some cars? i think around 5 cars need a server connection not mentioning dlc stuff
At this point I’m gonna have to hunt down a copy of Driveclub myself just to experience some classic racing nostalgia
This game had potential!
So much potential!
nakasendo is the only track that fully tests every vehicle In every aspect.
angled braking
cornering flow
higher end speed
several acceleration spots
its the best track in the game.
the arcade physics are something I genuinely enjoy with this game, it just feels like they were designed to be raw and brutal, yet for anyone to have fun trying to master them
I guess you forgot to mention the fact that drafting is exaggerated here. I guess that makes the game more fun in races
I can’t mention every single thing in the game, the video would be hours long then 😂 but yeah it’s fun
i really like the new editing style and its super sad that driveclub failed it looks so good i wonder what couldve happen with the game
Thanks! Yeah I really wonder what a sequel would be like
Woah, Moses that’s a wicked game, I understand you now (:
as a chilean driveclub makes me happy we got some videogame representation
Awesome!
Drive Club is one of my favorite racing games. I hate that I bought it after the servers shut down so I can't get the DLC . Great game it is really sad they disbanded the studio and there won't be any Drive Club games
Can t wait to buy myself a PS4 and try the game ❤
@Moses B so if you have a ps4 disc it still won't let you download all the dlc from store?
No
if only there is a way to get all the DLCs and the bike Expansion.
Only with a jailbreak ps4 now
or a shared savegame from another person who unlocked everything..i guess, didnt try it ^^
You're wrong about the sales.
you can't possibly mean lower quality
Great video!
Thanks!
I think people we're just need to have cut themselves some slack with "customization here JDM that" fcs because not every game can, and needs to have a NFS-type of car customization, I still fondly remember Driveclub get a lot of flack back in it's launch for lacking body customization & Japanese cars until they brought the 370Z, BNR34, and R35 Nismo through DLC
and the cycle continues as they literally demanding TDUSC to have in-depth car customization
I’m actually pissed I never fought this game. I played the demo of this game and loved it but never got around to actually buying it
Would you all say that DC still possess the best looks and physics of any racer on the market today??
Apparently the online feature really lifts the game, when it was working properly which I assume took a few months.
@@BangThaBazie I suppose they just thought it would make it stand out more in the big racing game genre.
Let’s go, been waiting for this video!
It's shame you didn't get to experience the dlc. They more than doubled the amount of cars and added more variety from American and Japanese cars
If I could boil down Driveclub to one word it'd be
SLEEK.
it´s sad to think that this game is going to disappear one day, or is going to be a rare game to get in the future because is exclusive for ps4 and it´s not it the PlayStation store.
sad end to this game, really... i havent kinda payed attention to it until recently, mostly because i never owned a ps4
now that i watch reviews and gameplays i feel like i missed out on it
with all dlcs gone and servers shut down now too 😞
If only this game have gotten a ps4 pro treatment, or at least a ps5 remaster. But thats just wishful thinking, because sony simply disbaned the talented evolution studios.
In terms of graphics alone, Driveclub is still the most graphically beautiful racing game i ever seen. In terms of visuals atleast, it beats out all other racers.
I have all the dlc. It totals up to about 140 cars. Not bad for 2014.
Yup. But at launch. 60 is a horrible amount
@@UltraViolet_Moses True. I just wanted you to know because the dlc got delisted.
@@wegoku7274 and this why jailbreaking PS4 is the only solution to fiddle with dlc content
Honestly? This game is the true sequel to the classic Need for Speed games (that being, 1 through 5). It basically perfectly carries the spirit of them while modernizing other aspects.
ok, that thumbnail tho sheeesh 👀👀👀
Thanks!
Do one about dirt 3 I absolutely loved that game
Games like this are unnapreciated, while games like Horizon X or Motorfest are prefered.
😮💨
This game is a cult classic 😭👌👌👑
nice video and editing and writing
Hey, thanks!
you feel the speed in this game.
Driveclub hast the best cockpit view
Thanks!
Nothing but facts.
I never played this game, but i've heard only great things from players who did, so i have a question why was it discontinued, why did they not make a continuation, and i don't mean this as an irony.
I mentioned why in the video
@@UltraViolet_Moses it is a shame that Sony did not give a chance to the game creators to continue this project to improve and fix this game and learn from their mistakes and hopefully make a continuation that could posibilly have been succesfull.
Driveclub was a decent game. In my opinion it would have been more fun in an open-world setting. Limiting the club feature to closed circuits was a waste of potential.
An open world with Driveclubs highlights would be absolutely unbeatable
you should play driver san Francisco
I’m actually playing it currently, will make a video on it ;)
Dude I’ve never even heard of this game
Really?!
@@UltraViolet_Moses yeah😂
I have had this game for years but never got to play it properly. Too bad you cannot buy the DLC anymore.
