You said exactly what I always say about the unlicensed cars, you can literally do anything you want with them, if you can't have a dream car in a racing game about destruction and street racing then you can try to make it look like one if not better, but almost everyone seems to not agree.
The unspoken communication between drivers, the patience of the veterans waiting while the noobs retried the barrel roll for the 20th time. I loved that it would take a photo of you to show the other driver your reaction when they took you down. Total genius. Gaming will never be this good again.

I've been playing Paradise City Remastered for a few weeks now and i see this in my notification. What a pleasant surprise. One of the best arcade racing games of all time.
Ren Hazuki (Racing gamer fan), Ayumu Uehara and Shioriko Mifune all still love Burnout Paradise, both the original and Remastered especially to the car sounds, and able to listen to the anime soundtracks while free roaming.
I had a lot of childhood racing games that I like to look back and appreciate. Stuntman Ignition, Hot Wheels Beat That, and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2010. However I always find myself forgetting about Burnout Paradise which was also one of those prominent childhood racing games, but I remember absolutely loving playing this game growing up. And before you ask, yes I have played the remaster, it's just been a very long time since I have played it.

@@justawilliamsfan i did not specify enough. Only about the first half of the cars got equalized. The later half, around after the gt flame i believe were unchanged and thus the burning route car have different stats.
I bought burnout paradise in a bundle on the PS Store and it included the ''Time Savers Pack'' which more or less ruined the entire experience by unlocking everything at the start. Still a fun game to revisit though
I had never even HEARD of this game until 2017 when I met my girlfriend. She showed me the game, and I fell in love with it. We booted up a new save file and cooperatively beat the game. And when the remaster came out, I thought was the perfect cute little gift to get her
As someone who played this game recently for the first time (2021), so my opinion isn't tainted by nostalgia, I had so much fun. A kind of fun that was missing from Forza games.
@yerbasanta505Nobody is talking about sales, they don't even mean anything in this context. It's like comparing modern Doom to Call of Duty; Yes the latter sells better, but the other made a comeback after being on ice for decades and still was a better "standing out game" as you called it, despite selling incomparably less. Besides, NFS literally does the same thing Forza Horizon does with its maps; Roads are a mere suggestion and cops are a just nuisance. Burnout Paradises comparably restrictive open world gives way to more mechanics, tactics and novelty to places, that don't conform to the rules the majority of the map uses. That's the reason the Quarry, the Dirt Track, the Big Surf Construction Site and the Airstip feel so much more memorable and special than the Tracks in Heat, Unbound & Motorfest or the various Horizon Festivals (except the first, that one had actually function compared to the glorified all-in-one garages after it). It also helped that the special places in Paradise were also unmarked and had actual stuff to do, like skate-pools and barrel rolls and collectibles that don't force you to stop (looking at you Motorfest, Forza Horizon and any NFS after 2015!)
In your TC2 video, I mentioned it was one of the games that got me back into racing games after not playing them for a really long time. This was the other one. And TC2 was an amalgamation of genres I've been missing out on, then this game was the thesis to everything I missed. And now, it's one of my absolute favorites, a game I come back to time and time again (along with it's predecessors) because it will never not be fun to wreck at 200 MPH. Great video! We will be sharing! Lets get this series back! o7
I felt like the fact that there were no actual restricted racecourses was rather bland over time. Actually funneling people down certain routes, that encouraged the use of otherwise forgotten or useless shortcuts would've been a nice change of pace. Or even MC style checkpoint races... or all three.
God this video was such a treat to watch. Burnout Paradise is one of the few games that I've completed 100% of it (All for Platinum paints!) and that dissection was SO delicious to experience! Loved the format, loved how insightful and thoughtful you were about the title too. And ohohoho that voice! I'm gonna hang around your channel for a while, GREAT work!
I like how you mentioned underground 2 on the same vein as this game, because that would probably be my favorite open world racer if it wasn't for Burnout Paradise's existence. This might be just me putting on my rose colored glasses in the highest of priorities, but to me this game has executed a concept even better than what I came to be obsessed over to begin with, of which I barely see not just in the racing genre, but in most videogames generally speaking, that alone was enough reason for me to get the remaster on a discount just so I could experience it all over again, alongside the content I was gatekept out of as someone who only had a computer at the time. (For added context, most games published by EA between 2006 and 2012 would either be totally different versions (such as their sports line up of yearly releases) or have content that would be only reserved for consoles at the time, one jarring example being the big surf island expansion). I want to also mention the multiplayer aspect of things, because this is where criterion introduced freeburn challenges, that are simply a collective of events where you would do certain tasks and/or tricks alongside the collaborative effort of other players, and under the right conditions, those can be fun as well, not to mention cops 'n robbers which was another online exclusive mode, which is effectively more similar to that seen in need for speed undercover, but I believe paradise nails it better simply due to the aforementioned mechanics such as how the driving works and etc. If there's any other racing game franchise that a lot of people who grew up with the genre, is undoubtedly Burnout, and given the increase of people fawning over this series either coming back to it, or experiencing it for the first time, gives me a small bit of hope that EA's executives are starting to notice a trend regarding the discourse surrounding this topic, so with enough time, there might be either a new entry to such a dormant IP, or have something in a similar vein done by either Criterion or Codies, or even created by some third party, regardless, I still have some hopium left for what is genuinely some of the most entertainment people can get from a video game.
The burning route upgrade cars do have different stats but they aren't as extreme as they used to be. Before the Free February uodate, certain cars went from 4 speed to 7 with their upgrades.
The PS3 was the last console I owned, and this game was one of the best things about it. It was the first game I really used the online mode on, it was so seamless and such fun. The absolute joy I found in sharing with complete strangers the fun of unspoken beckoning to the quarry or other such area. Just perfect.
This game is my childhood, playing it unhealthy amounts on my PS3, and no-lifing it once again when the remaster dropped, love this game so much and it really is a travesty this franchise went dormant. Also, you actually can restart races in the remaster, just gottta hit left on the d-pad (or right on d-pad i forgot but its one or the other lol) during an event and it'll bring up a menu and there's an option to restart. edit: uberschall 8 my beloved, my favorite car and love the rumbling thunder that plays whenever you got a burnout with it
Great video man! Loved watching you show your passion and love that you have for this game. It’s always nice to see someone show their appreciation for these types of racing games. Would love to see more videos like this in the future. And honestly after watching this video you got me thinking of buying the game now
I wish people could see the absolute amount of fun and chaos that this game has to offer. It would be so much fun to have tons more players join the ranks. It deserves an ultimate revival!
UltraViolet's video brilliantly encapsulates the revolutionary impact of Burnout Paradise on the racing game genre. From its iconic street racing moments to the perfect blend of arcade thrill and open-world freedom, the video explores the game's lasting influence 🏎🔥
It was crazy hearing someone talk about this game again after all this time. You *perfectly* explained what sets Paradise apart from modern open world racing games like Forza Horizon 5, which is something I've been struggling to explain for *years.* Your video finally helped me understand why it is that I just can't get into modern open world racing games, yet I have such an easy time coming back to Burnout Paradise all the time
The main thing that kinda bothered me with Burnout Paradise was the removal of some of the cool filters when you "Wrecked" or something, it added to the design, I also don't think the current "Blue" fits with Burnout paradise, Bring back Red.
my mom doesnt like games...but she loves to play Burnout Revenge on Ps2 with me after we get home from school because she was the teacher in my school back then
Yeah the multiplayer was the only reason to play this game lol you could complete the single player in a couple days and then have hours and hours of fun on MP
Man I love this game, I’ve spent way too much time in it as a kid and managed to ramp up over 1K miles in one vehicle alone. Thanks for this great video showing it off, and I also agree with most of the things you said with this. However, IMO, Road Rages got to be a good bit harder as you progressed and you can restart events via the Easy Drive menu and I never minded driving to the junkyard to switch cars. :) I also do like how all the DLC was made available, not being able to play most of them was a big bummer as a kid.
Something you didn't touch on, but is worth mentioning - the original Burnout Paradise was one of the most optimized games I'd ever played. Used it on a potato PC, but the framerate was always smooth as butter.
Burnout Paradise and NFS Rivals are my all time favorite racers. The fact that you can be uninterrupted while barreling through scraps of metal, part of it being you, is just awesome.
I'm hoping you would make a video about the Midnight Club series. The game was very underrated in its use of open world, and IMO did a better job than burnout paradise at open-world racing.
I know that probably someone has said this already, but restarting the events was possible through quick menu (activated on d-pad right) for many, many years, since at least The Ultimate Box days. Apparently, game didn't tell people enough about this menu. I think it was mentioned only once, early on, right when you're bombarded with tutorials (which is a flaw). Another thing that I saw people were not aware of was Showtime mode. Maybe it's not what people remembered from old Burnout titles, but it can be fun if you're not grinding it for achievements. One cool thing about Showtime is: You can activate it at ANY time. If you know you'll lose the event, just transition to it and do some rampage to cool off before trying previous event again. Game is fun and its experience is well designed for the most part. The map especially, since its perfect for speeding through it and adrenaline rushes, as well for playing around with its secret locations. Alone or with friends. There are a lot of flawed aspects I'm aware of, which could be tweaked and improved in the next game, but we'll probably not see it coming anytime soon. One of them for me are the DLCs. These feel so disconnected from the base game single player experience, especially Big Surf Island. They're definitely designed with multiplayer in mind, which I liked to play, but they're not fitting the seamless experience base game brought to us. Another one would be the difficulty level, which certainly dropped with new patches (I think). Game feels too forgiving sometimes. Old Burnouts were fun too and most people will glorify Takedown and Revenge, shitting on this one for no particular reason (or maybe because it's not Takedown or Revenge again), but even with its flaws this one was a step up and I love it personally.
I couldn’t really get into it, i love burnout series but not paradise, i sometimes miss important turns and have to constantly pause and find my way again. It is really frustrating imo😊
Great Video as always! I also just earned my Burnout License as i’m replaying this awesome game! If I could add something to this video, it would be that the Remastered Version that you played is actually very different to the 1.0 original release on X360/PS3, and in my opinion made worse than those originals. Changes between the 1.0 and latest releases include: - UI colors and elements were changed - Billboards became more generic in the Remaster - All Top Speeds of Cars were lowered in the Remaster - Engine sounds were changed, they became more muted and not as exaggerated in the Remaster - Crash physics were also toned down slightly in the Remaster, making cars not flip over as much - AI Drivers were made slower and easier + Stunt Runs were made easier in Remastered - Other minor graphical differences like when crashing, the color palette becoming very pale with over exaggerated red colors, smoke coming out of exhausts when nitrous was low etc. These differences IMO make the Remaster lose some of the character and atmosphere that the original release had, it made the game feel more casual and not as exiting as 1.0. That said the Remaster introduced a day and night cycle, the original only had daytime, so some things did get improved. There is a video comparing 1.0 and the latest release and in there you can see some of the differences that i listed and more: ruclips.net/video/r9kg0Xn3YuI/видео.htmlsi=Z_wkWKMBoIOg3WQS Like i said though great video on one of my favorite games, keep up the amazing work you are doing, we love your content man❤
I’m playing the ultimate box now on PC, the original not the remaster, and there is night and day cycle….then burnout paradise released there was no night and day cycle but then they updated it a month later to add a day and night cycle. I remember night time crashes when I was a kid. I haven’t played the remaster yet but I can confirm day and night cycles were in the old one so long as your Xbox was hooked up to Wi-Fi you would have gotten that update
i think you should have said something about the collectibles, they can be a hustle to get, but are just so rewarding when you have to explore the map to find the route to that red billboard
Played hundreds of hours in this game over 3 different copies. Also have the nostalgia of playing this with my dad growing up. This video makes me want to go back and finally truly 100% it
To this dai I remember watching youtube leaks of (then) future DLCs for this game. Like people flying to the unfinished island with cheats. Or the infamous leak of planes, which unfortunately never came. It had a special vibe.
I spent literal years playing Burnout games. Burnout 3 Takedown was the first for me. Burnout Revenge I beat more times than I can count. Burnout Dominator on my PSP. and finally uncountable hours on Burnout Paradise on my PS3 both offline and online with many of my friends. It was genuinely my favourite game to play. If a new Burnout game came to fruition, or heck even a remaster of something like Revenge. I would likely spend endless hours playing it. It was a huge part of my childhood, it helped me find my music tastes, and make countless memories. I look very fondly on Burnout and hope one day it will return.
I have played all Burnout games (yes, even Crash, it was boring), but i had the PS2 version Burnout Dominator, i discovered the series through demo that was in NFS Underground 2, since then Burnout became one of my favorite racing series along side NFS and Midnight Club I would love a new Burnout game too, the rumour is that Stellar Entertainment is making a new Burnout Game as tweeted an image with the text "You're about to be rear ended"and the words "take downs" If they remaster another game from the series, i prefer Burnout 3: Takedown
I still play the remastered version on my PS3 regularly, and it hasn't gotten old for me. Still holds the same chaotic charm as it did when I first booted it up.
Burnout Paradise, along with gran turismo 5, were my introductions to racing, and I could not have asked for a better introduction. The sheer fun of burnout was incredible, and I platinum'd the game with pleasure. It was truly exhilarating.
whenever i stayed over my uncle’s house as a kid, he had an xbox 360 and we played two games together mainly: PGR 3 and Burnout Paradise. Have a lot of fond memories of just laughing at causing crazy crashes in road rage or showdown mode p.s love the music choices. Sonic Unleashed is another 360 game i am very fond of!
I wish NFS got rid of the on road turn markers and forced racers to use the minimap. That adds such an extra layer to street racing games. At the very least make that a difficulty setting.
My first copy had compUSA billboards when i got it. I repurchased it later on PC with supposedly all the content. I was able to use the bikes, toy cars, and island, but the movie cars never unlocked, i needed the Ghostbusters, and BTTF cars to have the most fun.
12:49 TRUE i have been playing burnout for about nine years now since i was a kid. on and off in my free time and until now its the most fun i had with any racing game. threres something about it that feels so different compared to other racing games out there it just scratches that itch for me i love it very much
I will say that having a waypoint system would be very helpful, I do believe that a reason they might not have had one is to get the player to learn the map better. I know when I was playing, overtime I would get better at getting around the map and finish races faster just from trying to find a junkyard which would make me learn more routes. It also helps that the map is designed so well that it feels like every street flows together no matter what direction. Great video, I missed this game so much
I was never a big fan of playing racing games online, but I ended up playing Burnout Paradise for more than 3000 hours on the PS3. What a game. It was so much fun that we had, playing those online challenges. I made friends, some of them I still know today, 15 years later. I agree with almost everything you said. It's just an unbelievable game. It will probably never be like that again. But we still hope for a new Burnout, which hopefully isn't messed up, like so many modern racing games.
This was my childhood, I loved playing Burnout Paradise, the open world was really fun to explore and driving around it was seriously amazing, the car list felt great due to how varied it was from high powered race cars to aggressive death machines. Overall, I miss Burnout Paradise and Burnout as a whole and want to start playing all over again, due to this excellent video.
Fantastic video. I remember watching those original Criterion videos on early YT when Big Surf Island was about to be launched and being in awe of the thought of a whole new playground for the map. I was only 7 at the time, but to me this game is one of the greats. ❤
Thank you for covering this. I had a smile on my face for 23 minutes hearing someone talk about a game that made me the wreckless driver i am today. God bless.
If they make a new burnout, I unironically do not want it to be open world anymore. It was cool growing up when I was in china playing single player exploring, but over the years the map of paradise felt like a prison the more i played, and the remaster added nothing. It felt bland over the years, and another thing that bothered me was no actual car classes, if I wanted to use the annihilator online i would be met with nighthawk gts everywhere and formula one cars. It felt annoying, especially with no select route online, nor lap races. I don't know. On release of paradise it was great, but all grown up I see myself abandoning it and going to revenge and 3 instead. I like the car classes in 3, and loved the location variety in both games. I feel like it would have been easier to cope if they added a lot of the old cars from previous games in some nostalgia pack dlc for the remaster, but they just made the game look prettier and walked away. Been very agitated since
Scary story I went into work one day to see my boss Angus on a stretcher dead, later that day Burnout Paradise released and the first road I drove down was called Angus Drive. I will never have an experience like this again, well I hope.
Few additions : the remastered actually reduced the number of takedowns required, it increments slower in the remastered than in the ultimate box version, and the maximum is 20 instead of 40 (that change makes sense cause 40 is a lot and grinding the elite license is so much longer on the ultimate box version just because of that). It also added a button in the easy drive menu to cancel the current event so you don't have to stop and wait. In the original release in 2008, the early game cars were much faster and the trafic was a lot more dense, so the game was actually very hard back then. The takedown requirements in road rages as well as the score goals in stunt runs were also higher than in the ultimate box version. Great video, summed up very well my own opinion about this game after playing it for around 300 hours all versions and platforms combined
18:11 this game takes I think a VERY steep learning curve sometimes cuz basically every car feels like a muscle car but once u learn to drift and get the turn in points right you’ll do fine
This fame was my introduction to the series and has become one of my favorite games of all time. Wished I found out able it soon but always better to be late to a party than not show up at all. If they do make a new Burnout game, I hope it lives up to it potential.
Paradise and Most Wanted 2012 are my 1-2 faves of racing games. There most likely will never be another in the series tho since...allegedly...EA bought Criterion specifically to get their engine and talent AND to kill the Burnout series. The same tactic for buying so many other racing series like the Codemasters games, for example. No competition means NFS stays unchallenged. MW2012 was actually supposed to be the next Burnout game which you see if you eagle eye the license plates in the MW trailer. However some of the Burnout team are working on Wreckcreation via Nordic THQ (Wreckfest, etc) so I hold hope for that.
Beautifully made video, buddy. Really cool insights and I share almost all opinions with you on this. It was a gem of a game that had unreal potential. I was grinning like a little child throughout this video. Thank you for making this video, it made my day and I will be booting up a new save game soon. Took me right back. Cheers!
The sense of speed this game gives is just unmatched, pure adrenaline. Also the game is used to test reaction times in studies, that examine such topics. Old school Criterion⚡
I understand what you mean about the limited junkyards, but it just made you have to know how to get to the nearest and it would always be just a minute or so away depending on how badly you want a new vehicle. 😊
this game was a blast! i remember in 2018 when i got the remastered i still had the same fun as 10 years before! also car models are pretty nice, the only sad thing is that you can't make your own colors of change rims, but still the car models had great design and honestly i think they're better than gta5 models, they feel more real and proportions are pretty good!
Stellar Entertainment is said to be making a AAA racing game, so I hope it's Burnout. I think there might be a little more hope than Ridge Racer. Namco is trying to erase Ridge Racer's history, Harada asks SEGA where the VF6 is, but they ignore it, saying they can't make Ridge Racer. For god's sake, Ridge Racer's rival, Cruis'n, Hot Wheels racing game, LEGO racing game, F-Zero, and even Top Gear (Top Racer in Japan), Crazy Taxi are back. If Burnout and OutRun are back but Ridge Racer still isn't, I won't buy a Namco game. But I think OutRun have a high chance of coming out differently than Ridge Racer. There was OutRun 2 at British Racing Greats 2023, and Lizardcube tweeted about OutRun.
Damn Ridge Racer.. forget that though, I'm more interested in a new OutRun. I loved 2 and C2C soo much. SEGA always nailed this summery feel in every one of their games, I'd love to see OutRun make a return.
In defense of the no waypoint/no return to garage feature, I actually liked how it was absent. It was even more incentive to learn and memorize the map. Heck, I bet some players could navigate Paradise City better than their own hometowns because of it

What a coincidence, I just started playing burnout paradise remastered like two days ago - that game is so much fun, it deserves a sequel for sure
Yes
I disagree respectfully.
same for me with the ps3 version haha
What about BURNOUT PARADISE 2.0?
I had never even HEARD of this game until 2017 when I met my girlfriend. She showed me the game, and I fell in love with it. We booted up a new save file and cooperatively beat the game. And when the remaster came out, I thought was the perfect cute little gift to get her
Both this and the Spyro Reignited at that time was really a blast
@@TrumpDeeznutsinYomouth funny enough, she got that trilogy for me when it came out cuz I always talked about playing those games as a kid lol
She's the one

forever my favorite burnout game, its uniqueness and awesome design make it definitely worth playing even nowadays
As someone who played this game recently for the first time (2021), so my opinion isn't tainted by nostalgia, I had so much fun. A kind of fun that was missing from Forza games.
Honestly, we need more games that use an open world map as more than just "these are the ways you can go from point A to B."
@yerbasanta505the gameplay in Burnout Paradise is like a blend of NFSMW 2005 + BURNOUT 3 + FORZA HORIZON 4.
Mine
16 years after Burnout Paradise came out, BURNOUT PARADISE still is a legendary game!
My favorite racing/driving game ever made finally featured on my favorite youtube channel! What a treat!
Mine too!
This is my first Burnout Game I ever play and absolute like it this is game
God this video was such a treat to watch. Burnout Paradise is one of the few games that I've completed 100% of it (All for Platinum paints!) and that dissection was SO delicious to experience! Loved the format, loved how insightful and thoughtful you were about the title too. And ohohoho that voice! I'm gonna hang around your channel for a while, GREAT work!
Glad you enjoyed!
If there's any other racing game franchise that a lot of people who grew up with the genre, is undoubtedly Burnout, and given the increase of people fawning over this series either coming back to it, or experiencing it for the first time, gives me a small bit of hope that EA's executives are starting to notice a trend regarding the discourse surrounding this topic, so with enough time, there might be either a new entry to such a dormant IP, or have something in a similar vein done by either Criterion or Codies, or even created by some third party, regardless, I still have some hopium left for what is genuinely some of the most entertainment people can get from a video game.
fskull
I agree with you man. Here hoping that these types of arcade over the top racing games make a comback
The burning route upgrade cars do have different stats but they aren't as extreme as they used to be. Before the Free February uodate, certain cars went from 4 speed to 7 with their upgrades.
People who really liked paradise never played revenge
The PS3 was the last console I owned, and this game was one of the best things about it. It was the first game I really used the online mode on, it was so seamless and such fun. The absolute joy I found in sharing with complete strangers the fun of unspoken beckoning to the quarry or other such area. Just perfect.
Your videos should have waaaaaay more views for how good they are.
Btw, this game rocks. So much fun.
Glad you like them!
We need progress in racing games, we could be surpassing these older games by now, yet we haven’t.
I respect they left on top, innovating each game, all bangers with legit replay-ability
This game is my childhood, playing it unhealthy amounts on my PS3, and no-lifing it once again when the remaster dropped, love this game so much and it really is a travesty this franchise went dormant. Also, you actually can restart races in the remaster, just gottta hit left on the d-pad (or right on d-pad i forgot but its one or the other lol) during an event and it'll bring up a menu and there's an option to restart.
edit: uberschall 8 my beloved, my favorite car and love the rumbling thunder that plays whenever you got a burnout with it
The only other character in Burnout Paradise other than DJ Atomika is your cars
This game is my lifeline, been playing for 14 years strong now
Great video man! Loved watching you show your passion and love that you have for this game. It’s always nice to see someone show their appreciation for these types of racing games. Would love to see more videos like this in the future. And honestly after watching this video you got me thinking of buying the game now
Thanks for the visit
I wish people could see the absolute amount of fun and chaos that this game has to offer. It would be so much fun to have tons more players join the ranks.
It deserves an ultimate revival!

Burnout seems like a more less violent version of carmageddon.
I was not expecting a burnout video this franchise really deserves more love
Yeah I agree
my mom doesnt like games...but she loves to play Burnout Revenge on Ps2 with me after we get home from school because she was the teacher in my school back then
i loved how cars light up their turn signals on corners to help the player a bit
surprised you did'nt mention MP , which was fantastic, esp the challenges.
I forgot
4:54 the interactivity is what sells it for me.
16 years later still loving this game
I'm hoping you would make a video about the Midnight Club series. The game was very underrated in its use of open world, and IMO did a better job than burnout paradise at open-world racing.
It’s so good seeing somebody talk about the burnout series I can’t wait to watch this vid
13:40 Pretty sure that some cars you unlock from the Burning Route do in fact have different stats but not by much
I know that probably someone has said this already, but restarting the events was possible through quick menu (activated on d-pad right) for many, many years, since at least The Ultimate Box days.
2024 im still playing this game
Burnout paradise coming onto games with gold back on the 360 in like 2018 was a W
Changes between the 1.0 and latest releases include:
- UI colors and elements were changed
- Billboards became more generic in the Remaster
- All Top Speeds of Cars were lowered in the Remaster
- Engine sounds were changed, they became more muted and not as exaggerated in the Remaster
- Crash physics were also toned down slightly in the Remaster, making cars not flip over as much
- AI Drivers were made slower and easier + Stunt Runs were made easier in Remastered
- Other minor graphical differences like when crashing, the color palette becoming very pale with over exaggerated red colors, smoke coming out of exhausts when nitrous was low etc.
These differences IMO make the Remaster lose some of the character and atmosphere that the original release had, it made the game feel more casual and not as exiting as 1.0. That said the Remaster introduced a day and night cycle, the original only had daytime, so some things did get improved.
There is a video comparing 1.0 and the latest release and in there you can see some of the differences that i listed and more: ruclips.net/video/r9kg0Xn3YuI/видео.htmlsi=Z_wkWKMBoIOg3WQS
Like i said though great video on one of my favorite games, keep up the amazing work you are doing, we love your content man❤
I’m playing the ultimate box now on PC, the original not the remaster, and there is night and day cycle….then burnout paradise released there was no night and day cycle but then they updated it a month later to add a day and night cycle. I remember night time crashes when I was a kid. I haven’t played the remaster yet but I can confirm day and night cycles were in the old one so long as your Xbox was hooked up to Wi-Fi you would have gotten that update
2024 and just revisited this gem. I see a complete playthrough in my future.
Man burnout paradise is so nostalgic i haven’t heard that name in awhile
You posted this video when I was playing this game!
i think you should have said something about the collectibles, they can be a hustle to get, but are just so rewarding when you have to explore the map to find the route to that red billboard
I have played all Burnout games (yes, even Crash, it was boring), but i had the PS2 version Burnout Dominator, i discovered the series through demo that was in NFS Underground 2, since then Burnout became one of my favorite racing series along side NFS and Midnight Club
I would love a new Burnout game too, the rumour is that Stellar Entertainment is making a new Burnout Game as tweeted an image with the text "You're about to be rear ended"and the words "take downs"
If they remaster another game from the series, i prefer Burnout 3: Takedown
It hits HARD watching you talking about a banger soundtrack while Sonic plays on the background
Welcome aboard!
whenever i stayed over my uncle’s house as a kid, he had an xbox 360 and we played two games together mainly: PGR 3 and Burnout Paradise. Have a lot of fond memories of just laughing at causing crazy crashes in road rage or showdown mode
p.s love the music choices. Sonic Unleashed is another 360 game i am very fond of!
I'm kinda hoping Wreckreation does enough to fill the Burnout void even though it does give of some Track mania vibes
Great video, I missed this game so much
That would be cool
Speaking of the Quarry, I had no idea it existed until I played on MP many years later and saw a lot of players driving around in there
7:16 fan fact There is a line in the game where DJ atomica talks about Paradise City airport sinking while it was being built.
Very cool!
Been very agitated since
Burnout 3, Paradise, and the PGR series were my childhood classics lol. Such a shame both series are dormant now.
Cheers!
Thanks a ton!
As some one who grew up with this game in middle school on the PS3 i loved this game
Got the Remastered edition for my xbox series x and I absolutely love it
this game was a blast! i remember in 2018 when i got the remastered i still had the same fun as 10 years before!
also car models are pretty nice, the only sad thing is that you can't make your own colors of change rims, but still the car models had great design and honestly i think they're better than gta5 models, they feel more real and proportions are pretty good!
This game is awesome. I still play.
Heck, I bet some players could navigate Paradise City better than their own hometowns because of it
Paradise was one of the first PS3 games I played online and some of the best gaming experiences I've ever had were just messing around with other people in freeroam.
Excellent video, it seems we both have the same thought patterns about Burnout Paradise, I just made a video about this game as well and we both had the same exact points about how great the map world is! Great minds think alike, as they say. Subscribed!
Sounds great!
Love the video but have to ask why are you tubers from all angles absolutely loving Sonic the hedgehog music recently its insane
Why not?
I miss that era of gaming. Also this video is really well put together.
Man, this game is a GEM! I had so much fun playing it nonstop back then on my X360...
Gee, the time sure flies by so fast.
