In November I became a father to a beautiful and healthy son, but before that my wife had to stai for a few weeks in hospital because she had some issues with her blood preassure. Just wanted to say thank you, because your videos were the only thing that kept my company during those lonely evenings of waiting till my wife gets better.
I've been a modeler for 64 yrs. Covered and tried damn near every topic and detail trick out there.Won awards here and there. But, until I watched your tutorial on figure painting, and then applied those lessons; I ruined more figures than you can imagine I recently painted a 200mm Verlinden " RANGER/ LRRP" bust. I gave it to my Vets group facilitator ..who is a Silver Star awarded LRRP/ RANGER. It's a humbling thing to see a Ranger tear up. Needless to say that figure was on point
Happy new year hank, and THANKS for 12 months of model building tips, techniques, and military history! Absolutely loved following you this year, watching your vids, and LEARNING new skills! Thx to you my armor kiqts and figure painting have shot way up, Im developing some new tricks to pull on my builds, and investing in better equipment! You've been such a positive inspiration!! Here's to 2024, and more model projects!!
Happy New Year!!! Possible future subject for a video: Pre-war US Navy aircraft markings. The "Yellow Wings" of carrier aircraft of the 1930s and the various crazy markings - every single marking on an aircraft meant something specific Plus, the various colors of the tail sections meant which carrier they belonged to. Fascinating subject, I think. Have bunches of references and think that the audience out there would also be fascinated by that information.
Mr Hank, thank you for providing me with some good guidance this year that allowed me to get back into the hobby after an almost 20 year break. I especially enjoyed your beginner's videos from previous years. Have a happy new year! Looking forward to seeing more content from you! Mirek from Scotland.
Hello Hank, yes! it was a productive year for me, and I have to thank you for making it happen. I learned a lot from your tutorials, especially, when it comes to painting figures. I feel more confident painting 1/35 scale faces. You my friend are an inspiration to the modelling community. Now, lets open up a box with a model in it, open a brand new bottle of Tamiya glue, get that new pair of nippers, etc. You get my drift. Happy New 2024 to you and yours, may all of your wishes and dreams come true this Year.
