A first class video showing the skill and work that goes into these major strip down/overhauls,that is one thing about Robinson you have service back up and support worldwide, look forward to seeing Part 2,thank you for producing these insights.
I think I have seen some half-ass 2000 Hr overhauls done in the past. This is top-notch. I suspect the gearbox etc were sent to a professional shop and returned as new for install.
Pretty cool. What would be even better is see you assemble it again and explain all of the parts of it and how they work together in the helicopter. I have a good understanding of most stuff due to flying the R22, but I'd love to see some more detail and explanations, especially on the cyclic mixing and hydraulics in the R44.
To the heliserve team, firstly thank you for the video , great watch. I wondered if I could please use short extracts of this video for an upcoming YT video project I am doing on the Robinson overhaul process? Obviously you would be fully credited in the video and I would put a link to your full video, I look forward to hearing from you, Kind regards Andrew
Yeah, it's 12 years or 2200 hours, whichever comes first. It's between $150.000 and $180.000. So you have have to save money for the overhaul for when you get there.
Awesome video. Amazing how such a small shop does such an immense amount of work. The knowledge involved must be superior.
2nd time I watched this-----wow--I can't even begin to imagine what it takes to be able to do what this mechanic did!!! What an amazing skill set!!!!!

Amazing, would like to see more videos about the overhaul process and another helicopters as well
I wish aviation was not prohibitively expensive. I would love to have a little flying machine some day. good job, nice clean shop
