Brilliant! Straight to the point, perfect. Thank you for being so direct!
This man speaks the truth. Just put myself through private pilot license for fixed wing in the northeast and I completed in minimum time for ~$18k all in.
Wow! Didn’t know it was that costly. I have just seen several of your videos and love watching. New to your channel. Thanks for sharing.
You are living the dream
That was a great watch! Really appreciated your upfront style
Scott Miller Thanks. Thanks for watching
Appreciate the real numbers
MD 500 the Sex appeal how funny and straight forward thanks for this honesty. Safe skies
Just found your channel -- great content, great video work, subscribed. Please keep up the videos coming and save me a seat on the next Rotor Recoil flight when you're back up to speed. In the meantime, someone get this guy a Robinson sponsorship deal, ASAP!!!
duckbow Sounds Good. I should be up and running end of this week. The Rotor Recoil is some fun stuff
Your channel is new to me and I'm enjoying learning what you do. Thanks for the excellent videos.
Thanks for watching!

This is my new favourite channel started with the house video then I seen the shooting side and including helicopters, as a AME with rotary wing I’m use to working on UH-60 in Australia but see a few MD600 notar’s just a cool channel
TheF150flareside Thanks for watch. What do you think about the MD 600?
Stay safe.👍❤️🇨🇦
I met you at KLAA, great talking with you about your bird. Great video.
It was great to meet you! Thanks so much!
Hey boddy, yes you absolutly got this ride. I'm from Germany and did my first helicopter 1987 in Bell 47 ( Dick Hill - International flight school ) one flight hour for the students 123,- $ Dollers came back to the school 1990 - Springfield,Mo. the same per hour - today per hour ?
This times just out of !
Thank you
The Hill helicopter is going to change the world! It’s going to bring pricing back down to reality!
And it’s a 500hp turbine!
Spot on. I just passed helicopter private pilot check ride. All in i spent $20k
Congratulations Keep studying. I would quit then had to start all over for my commercial. Did the same thing for my CFI.
Absolut Dame right Sir, I'm from Germany did my flying in US - Germany way to expensive.
Now I see why you're smiling when flying the gun range, you're charging $1000 per hour. ♠♠♠
Money yep The best 1000 you’ll spend Fun stuff
@@themendotaranch Suddenly, ammo feels cheap...
Do you ever fly The old Huey helicopters from nom? That’s what they use alot on fire here in Nevada
Ive flown one a couple of times. It was like driving a big yellow dog school bus!
@@themendotaranch lol ….they are big for sure !!! They also use a lot of Erickson sky cranes .. they can haul 2000 gallons per drop
What Was That Round Thing At The Bottom Of The Screen At 7:30/8:15 ?
My spreader bucket I use on the helicopter.
I have a PPL. Expecting a friendly response, I casually told a friend, an ex-Chinook pilot, that I was contemplating doing a helicopter license. His smile INSTANTLY vanished and he tersely told me point blank, “you can’t afford it.”
Lol
4:34 R66 little rough riding ????????? can you explain ?
It’s a fast helicopter with the turbine. It’s about 400# lighter than the 44.
I am soo glad I never commited to getting my PPL(H). I could invest it Roth IRA or 401k (if I had the money to invest)
Makes me feel much better about not owning a helicopter. Sounds like parts and maintenance are a racket. There's a lot of slush built into that system somehow. With todays manufacturing technology it should be possible to build a complete tail section for 65K, even if half the parts are built out of unobtanium. I smell lawyers and red tape. Nice to be a little guy, sometimes.
John Brennan The cost is all the red tape and testing
Normally, when I think of “consumables” i think of inkjet cartridges. You hold your nose and pay $60 for a new one. But when rotor blades and gearboxes are viewed as having a mandatory shelf life they become consumables too. And now you’re talking REAL money.
Annual inspection is $7,000? You’re getting robbed.
2y later it’s went up 20%.
🙄 Crazy
I'm surprised with the type of flying operations you do that your insurance isn't more expensive than it is.
Dn1sdr Really. I was thinking it was super high. Been doing it for 25 years with out a claim
I invested $200 in bitcoin today ill be flying in no time
I hope so buddy good luck on your investment
I have a few BTC waiting to be at 200K$ for my next chopper
going under the wire? yikes!
