    I'm convinced they just made the whole "Della in the moon" storyline so they could use the moon theme, but I mean how can you judge them the song is amazing

    • @seaniccus
      @seaniccus  3 года назад +18

      Della was canonically already lost in space in the comics, so moving that to the moon was a natural extension! I imagine the moon theme helped inspire that!
      Although I've always been pretty impressed they got the rights to actually use the song, considering it's probably owned by Capcom!

      Yeah, it is sad but DuckTales probably won’t be gone for long after season 3. Considering the fact that Disney had been making a trend on bringing shows from old or recent onto Disney+ (Like Phineas and Ferb, the Proud Family, and most recently the Mickey Mouse shorts), DuckTales will more than likely get the same treatment. It’s inevitable.

      @@seaniccus We found where della is, but the triplets father could be in the other locations of the NES game. Ie Amazon,African mines, transylvania, the Himalayas or mount vesuvius. If he is in any of these locations their songs are official, hopefully it's mt vesuvius.

    • @ShadwSonic

      @@heidichrist4000 Small nitpick, but Mt. Vesuvius and the Money Bin weren't in the NES original. Those levels were added in the remake.
      However, we've already explored areas similar to Amazon, Transylvania, and Himalayas in the show, and had the Mines referenced via the Undergrounders or whatever they called themselves, but oddly no volcano cavern. And no, the one in the Woodchuck Challenge episode doesn't count, that lacked the _cavern_ part.
      Of course, there's always Ducktales 2 areas... though Egypt and Greece were done too, and the others were new versions of Amazon and Transylvania... and a pirate ship. Which would've been thoroughly covered between the one stuck in the mountains and the beautiful Talespin reference that is Don Carnage.

    When I watched Della's episode about half way through I was thinking "the only way they could make this more perfect is if they gave significance to the NES Moon theme", and then they went and did just that. Still one of my absolute favorite episodes in a show chock full of great episodes.

  • @ShadwSonic
    @ShadwSonic 3 года назад +4

    Della's Lullaby still gives me chills in the best possible way.
    Oh, and the way I experienced this game was via emulation of the first one... then the second... then the Gameboy versions of both (which are different enough to be their own experiences), and then a Gamestop purchase of the remake.
    The emulation, as always, was through RetroAchievements.org emulators, which added cheevos covering every conceivable task in those games. Pacifism, All Chests, No Damage, and several others.
    As for which game among the five is _best..._ I actually think they're all about equal, which is incredibly shocking given the vast differences for each one. The remake's negatives over the original were mostly subjective preference though, so I guess that's the best one "objectively".

  • @mightyfilm
    @mightyfilm 3 года назад +3

    Della's lullaby is the best usage of a video game song in a cartoon series ever, closely followed by the epic battle version of Bloody Tears in the Castlevania cartoon. And for balance, the very worst one was the awful disco version of Wily Stage 1 from Mega Man 2 they used in the lousy Fully Charged cartoon to make a dumb reference to Saturday Night Fever. Of course, considering what they did to Dr. Wily in that series, I'm not surprised they'd screw that up. Hell, it accompanied him.

  • @williamdavila5566
    @williamdavila5566 3 года назад +7

    That was pretty interesting. Just a curious question. Regardless of the series ending, would you be excited if Disney would make a video game of the DuckTales reboot? I don't mean mobile game, I mean like the ones released on Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
    This is what I'd imagine it being. If it were a 2D platformer, I'd imagine it being developed by Capcom and WayForward Technologies, Who developed the original NES games and the remastered version respectively. If it were a 3D platformer, my vote for developers would go to Vicarious Visions or Toys or Bob. As for who would be the playable characters in the game, I would imagine that 3 sets of 3 characters. One set would have Scrooge (of course), Donald and Della; another set would have Huey, Dewey and Louie; another would have Webby, Lena and Violet (yes, I know Lena and Violet aren't part of the main cast but I feel like they would be more fitting for Webby's group).
    Who know? We may even see some of the characters I mentions like the 2017 version of HDL, Della, Webby, Lena and Violet get a prominent role in future Kingdom Hearts game. I know that sounds crazy especially since we already of Huey, Dewey, Louie and Scrooge McDuck in Kingdom Hearts, but anything is possible.
    Let me know what you think.

    About your opening bit about the ducks being more popular then Mickey.... I think it has more to do with that really Disney hasn't really done anything major with him since House of Mouse and that was 2001-2003 so it's been over ten years and before that he wasn't used at all during the Disney Afternoon era. At this point he's more corporate mascot then cartoon character and really it's kinda sad.

      Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Mickey and the Roadster Racers, Mickey's Mixed up Adventures, Paul Rudish's Mickey Mouse Shorts, which spawned a theme park attraction and a Happy Meal like a month ago. All exist. Sure, there was that gap in the late 90's and early 00's when Mickey merchandise took a backseat to Winnie the Pooh and 101 Dalmatians, but the Mouse is pretty much thriving now.

    I never played the NES "Ducktales" game, or even its Remastered counterpart, but I'll admit that rejected soundtrack sounds fun.
