Last year a friend of mine had his shop cleaned out, he looked on marketplace and found his stuff in a town 30 miles away. He called the cops and got the old run around so he called the number and went to the sellers house, agreed to the price and loaded up his stuff and then told the guy , " I have a legal firearm, this is my stuff and I am taking it, we can argue, we can call the Popo or you can walk away". The dude went back in his house.

always write your name and number etc on the inside of the tyres before fitting. Chances are they will not remove the tyres. Also mark the tyres on the outside so you can prove straight away to the police they are yours . Or get the inside of the rims "Stamped" with a mark etc
Remember to have serial number on your rims and documentation that these serial numbered rims are yours. Otherwise, the thief will challenge you in court and maybe even accuse you of defamation.

I got my work truck stolen last year around 12 am and I found out when I saw all my tools and equipment listed on fb market literally 2 hours later since I got up for work and even though the robber sent me his address and number thinking I was a buyer the police didn’t do anything about it. They even told me I would get in trouble if I tried confronting the robbers by pretending to buy my stuff back from them. System really is messed up.

I know somebody whose Son had his bike stolen. Same thing. Found it on Facebook. Called the police. They told him he would have to come into the station and personally show the detective the Facebook page and then jump through a few more hoops before the police can legally do ANYTHING! All the thief had to do was get on the bike and ride away.
What's to stop from the thief from tormenting that guy now? He already knows where he lives and knows his car.
Ima get two different types of lug nut locks and put one of each on each wheel when I get some Aftermarket wheels. Edit: I actually ended up getting aftermarket wheels that looked great, I got some nice Gorilla locking lug nuts and never had any issues. I have since sold those wheels and have Infiniti wheels without center caps on those, still using the same lug nuts.

lock nuts, removing them with an old 1/2" socket and a hammer. noisy but i know it works. or the specialized sockets for rounded bolts. so many methods.

Crazy! I looked out my kitchen window in the morning. There sat my corvette on cement blocks. Course police come. They find a set of keys on the ground. Later, the local Pizza delivery guy stops at my home. He tells me, he has seen my rims on a car in town. I call police. There is a room key for a hotel in Florida on the key ring. Turns out, the kid in town had gone to spring break. He kept the key as a souvenir. Rims stolden by kid in town that had been to fla. Wasn't that nice, though, brought cement blocks to put my car on...

You can catch them by getting the serial numbers of the TPS of each tire registered on the vehicle...
This happened to me found my system on fool called Knoxville PD. They ended up threatening to arrest me after informing me the detective on my case retired. So if he was working any homicides; the suspect is safe. Apparently NOBODY takes their caseloads. I set up a meet and TOOK my own property back!

Simply use a proprietary lug lock. You can get them from dealerships, decent auto parts shops and what not. The standard lug wrench, including the 4 ways, do not fit without the lug key.
