The WRC is the FIA World Rally Championship, a tough motorsport using rally cars on real roads around the world. Watch the best rally drivers battle on gravel and asphalt roads with mud, rain, dust, ice and heat! Watch high speed action as the rally drivers power slide and drift round narrow corners, go flat out over a big jump or through a watersplash, handbrake turn round a hairpin, survive a big moment, or have a massive crash! Rally requires maximum attack and careful tactics to become world rally champion.
Each rally has timed sections called special stages, on closed roads. Drivers complete these stages as quickly as possible. A co-driver reads pace notes that explain the hazards ahead. Rally drivers use the same rally car to travel to each stage on public roads, following normal traffic regulations. The crew which completes all the stages in the shortest time is the rally winner. Championship points are won using the same scoring system as Formula 1. The championship is administered by Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motorsport's world governing body.
Over 30 countries have hosted WRC rallies. Rally Monte Carlo, Rally Argentina, Rally Finland, Rally Portugal, Tour de Corse on Corsica, France, Rally Sardegna on Sardinia, Italy, Safari Rally in Kenya, Acropolis Rally in Greece, Rally New Zealand, Rally Australia, Rally Japan, Rally GB, Rally Catalunya, Rallye Deutschland, Rally Mexico and many more.
Some of the world's greatest drivers have won the FIA World Rally Championship for Drivers, like Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz, Walter Röhrl, Stig Blomqvist, Petter Solberg, Ott Tänak. The list of world rally champions includes many Finnish rally drivers like Juha Kankkunen, Tommi Mäkinen, Ari Vatanen, Marcus Grönholm, Hannu Mikkola. French drivers have had success with Sébastien Ogier, and 9 times world champion Sébastien Loeb. Famous drivers from other motorsports have come to try rally driving like Ken Block from Rallycross, and Robert Kubica and Kimi Räikkönen from F1.
Car companies compete for the prestigious FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers awarded to the most successful WRC constructor. Winners include Citroen, Hyundai, Volkswagen and Peugeot. Ford have had success with the Ford Escort, Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta when the M-Sport team won in 2017.
The 1980's featured the iconic Group B rally cars like the Lancia 037 and Delta S4, Peugeot 205 T16, MG Metro 6R4, Ford RS200 and Audi Quattro.
Japan dominated the 1990s with the Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, and Toyota Celica and Toyota Corolla. Toyota returned to the WRC in 2017 with the Toyota Yaris WRC, winning in 2018. The 2019 championship was won by Hyundai with the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. Find out about the latest winners and champions at www.wrc.com - Спорт

Perfect way to spent our quarantine times by rewatching these onboards...
That skill and bravery is literally out of this world, living at another level !
Interesting how smooth he is, very undramatic: fastest runs always make it look deceptively easy, and you know people who are quick but not quite as quick are sliding around more dramatically... it's strange as consequently it's not obvious he must be on the limit... driving at an incredible level...with incredible skill
In a sense, I don't think he's smooth. Rather, he's plenty of dramatic and aggressive: he's constantly giving aggressive inputs. I love that. He makes the car change direction and accelerate/decelerate very quickly, for example. In a nutshell, you can pretty clearly see a lot of inputs being done everywhere, unlike with most drivers. So, to me, his onboards are the most frenetic even with not too much slide.
Credit to the accuracy of DIRTRally. Awesome
I just did this stage in DiRT Rally and the resemblance is uncanny! props to the codemaster guys
Dirt rally doesn't have licensing for the official stages, they are loosely inspired by the real stages, if you want real stages go to WRC 9 that has the licensing
@@olliecole7163 WRC only has the license for another year then codemasters gets it
@@olliecole7163 They are public roads. It's just the names that don't match in DR. You'll get this stage if you do Kontinjärvi + Kakaristo if you are wondering.
@@nept123 I mean, those are the actual name of places. Apparently it's engine limitation that they couldn't do the full length. Just imagine it's 2004(?) when they divided the stage in 2 because someone broke the average speed limit allowed by FIA the year before :D
Also, allegedly Codies did the first Dirt Rally just before their licencing agreement ran out. Who knows if it's true or not.
he might be arrogant(a thing i do not support in any sport) but formula 1 is not as demanding as wrc. It's not an expert opinion it's just mine.I watch both of them and looking at this onboard makes me aplaud...
Finland is so fast, but Ogier is fast everywhere. But Latvala driving like crazy, good for him.
We'll miss this stage this year...
Whoever is running this channel, you are good... It seems like whatever people demand in one video, the demands are met in the next.... Longer video, on-board camera shots, natural audio... all of those have been asked for and supplied. Great job!
Ожье настоящий чемпион! УВАЖАЮ!!!
Great drive...well done Sebastien...:-)
To win in Finland means to be the new World Champion :-)
Rally drivers are completely crazy! D: Its unbelivable how fast they can drive on those narrow dirt roads! :S
i can see myself at 1:57 :) white shirt holding a cellphone on top of the famous Toni/Daniel cliff :)
What a great car setup. It looks soooo smooth...just concentrating on the bigger bumps, trying to find the perfect line. Great job Sebastien+Julien(+team of course).
lovely vid!!!!
9:14 copilot was scared! :D
Outstanding pictures from the stage...
Well done,what a great drive :-)
Very good!!!Ogier and Loeb, the best drivers in the world!!!!!!!
WRC pls, give us record breaking run of Latvala in Ouninpohja @ NesteoilRally 2015
Get WRC+
9:13 that jump scared the shit out of the co-driver.
Lol I was at the very spot
I'm not totally sure, but rather than scared, I'd say he talks louder to compensate for the noise of the car landing after the jump (see how he times it perfectly), so that the driver hears the pacenote loud and clear. Even more so, on an important note such as "Attention!". That's advanced co-pilot skills, if you ask me.
Gigi Galli took that same jump with P307 quite spectacular. The left corner before is very nice as well. The cars there shout out sideways through jump while local drunk Finns on side in near meadow are making fun show for spectators by climbing trees naked 😂 ...the best event in wrc calendar from all aspects.
Just a stunning run on a fantastic stage! And finally a great recording of that Ouninpohja classic!
Amazing driving.... this is the most exciting stage I've ever seen!
Just amazing. Perfect timing and some "OMG WTF" moments !
just awesome! thanks WRC!! more onboards like this one!!
Thank you, whoever runs this channel.
Thanks!!!wait a long time for this
Respect for keeping the courage to have that foot still planted into the floor through some of those tight twists!
Hapiness on bord !
Ogier loves his job in my opinion ^^
more of this please
I do not really like rallying, but currently, this category has the "essence" of motorsport.
I can`t even drive like that in dirt rally :O !!! I would be 10 times dead
Yeah! It was amazing how he was able to lower his time so much from one run to another!
Awesome, the best pilot for all time
Haha I was there at the jump on 9:14, top drivers landed on one or two wheels :D
Just perfect !!
AMAZING!!!
9:16 I was there just on the right side of the road, fantastic spot!
Just amazes me watching these guy handle their cars!!
Truly, inspiring.
yes, magical !
4:34 , it's me on the left ! xP
Insane Insane Insane!!!!
Ouninphoja!!
Simulation mode? Player mode? Are the driving assist options open? What's the restrart? :)
An incredible skill. Terrific.
amazing!!
DUDES A BEAST! PERFECT RUN ,TALK ABOUT BALANCE!
Brilliant footage. Please wrc can we have a full onboard stage with kris meeke
Go volks go!!! Tanks sebastien!
High-five for Sebastien and Julien again and 1 for the guy who setup onboard camera ... again.
Very good job from the co-driver as well...
Without a good copilot, the driver is nothing in Finland.
Fantastic car control.
i can't believe i have to wait two years for a proper rally sim from Slightly Mad guys
Which rally sim?
deserved to win driving like that, fully committed
BEAST.
great driving. wich that someone had the onboard camera of mcrae doing this one. colin and nicky grist made the best onboard i,ve ever seen in wales 2004 in the focus. if anyone saw that one you'll know why I'm saying this
seba le meilleur du monde
it's onboard videos such as these; that make me realize the WRC's decision to switch too *tarmac only* stages for the coming future is, and will be a huge mistake in-terms of popularity & entertainment value.. the reason why, I'm drawn too the WRC is b'c they don't constantly compete on tarmac.. it allows such drivers to have a better chance in competing for the championship; some of the top WRC drivers excel more on tarmac while other drivers in the rally 1 field - have better chances of stage wins via dirt gravel or snow compound surface type(s).. I hope the WRC come to their sense's and realize what made them so great was the fact that they didn't just stick to 1 surface type; rather having a variety of rally's on multiple different surface types... but idk who am I? Just a fan, w/ a youtube comment section to voice his dislike towards new rules the WRC are making.. I assume it's to make things safer for spectators & drivers alike,, but look at nascar for instance, the reason it's lost the popularity it once had, is because of rule changes similar to this, in doing so nascar officials have made the sport so boring it's hard to watch live or via TV/computer screen etc. i'd rather have my teeth pulled one by one w/out nova-cane(then to be forced to watch another nascar race).. I would urge/beg the WRC officials not to follow this trend it will only significantly hurt the sport we've grown to know and love...
WRC isn't switching to tarmac only lol
Please upload the 2nd run later :D
Unreal!
Looks like the car is flying 😮
wrc should bring back old legendary cars like mitshubishi, subaru, ford escort, lancia delta, audi etc. then wrc would be worth watching again
16 minutes of ABSOLUTE TERROR, the eyes.
genial!
I think it's an official channel, actually.
Quite the contrast of the 360p SD quality from 1 year ago isn't it?!
2:17 The best drift on special stage. Kubica is also fast.
estan locos estos tipos
It´s good to see the in-car videos. I also prefer the old school between/behind the seats view. That way you can see the road plus what the drivers are doing at the same time. In any case please don´t put the camera diagonally towards the road. It distorts the slide angles.
Avant il avait la vitesse, maintenant il a la fiabilité en plus .... les autres concurrents peuvent commencer à se faire une raison, le drapeau tricolore va flotter en haut du WRC encore pas mal d'année !!!! Go Seb !!!!
actually it was in 2001. absolutely sick.
Hos do they recorded with the go pros at the same time? When it swaps from one GoPro to the other one, it's the same motor sound...
How*
The sound is probably recorded separately.
Nice ,but please ,start putting the camera in the middle of the seats ,like with oldschool WRC videos !
why didn't you upload his record run on Ouninpohja 2?
Holy shit at the jump on 9:15
Strimming the edges!
Managing to avoid trees and piles of logs.
Face to face with photographers as they are going sideways.
His run on Ouninpohja 2 - SS22 was 17.8 seconds faster.
dear god
ça va tres tres tres vite......
Why not the record run?
If your name is Sebastien and you are french, you are good at rallying x)
9:14 sounds like the landing may have hurt Julian's collar bone
I'm assuming that was the record run?
11.30 holy shit!
they beat old peter solberg's record??
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Have someone mount the camera facing forward. That offset angle is so annoying.
@5:27 jumps over the corner.
Put Mikko Hirvonen's ouninpohja run next
I think wrc only place the middle camera only for jari matti latvala
Wolkswagen, best engine in the world
Speed limit sign around 11 mins: am I a joke to you?
KUBICAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!! :D
for 1 more time, bad camera....!!!
i love the old camera behind the driver because is the best ride......
camera onbard looks strange. I tough that only Kubica have like this, because not showing his right hend.
Put the camera in the middle, not in the right...
No they cant now, the stage is now a lil bit shorter then before..
we still need telemetry: speed, revs, gear and why not G-meter
min. 8:35 clio r3 crash & lappi almost crash
My graphic card can't keep up with his pace
please point the camera straight !
Fly fin
who wouldn't be I would shit my pants
Yeah... Like their RUclips person or whoever.
