    medical supplies are perfect in Thailand. some people think this not in Germany. Thank you for showing

      @@ProjectBangkok Yes I think it is some times better than in Germany But I had one problem, I had a Thrombose and I didn't know , If I come to Thailand for ever, whether the health insurance would accept me

      You will probably find that information on page 6743 of the fine print unfortunately. I know a few guys here who are still on there US insurance.. but again it’s a minefield of rules and regs. Insurance here is about the same price as what you would pay in Germany so it might just be worth swapping over

    Amazing, this hospital stay seems far and away above the care I could receive here in the US. Seems like with that private facility, they take your feelings and thoughts into the decision making process about the length of stay, additional tests, etc. as opposed to just ruling a few things out and sending you on your way to fend for yourself? I love that level of care and treatment

    G7 licensed medical doctor here that has had medical care in Thailand, my thoughts; the quality of care can be excellent to less than excellent, it varies. i was seen at a private hospital, an mri scan was done then the doctor told me i needed a high tech very expensive surgery. i emailed scan and history/symptoms spoke to a canadien trained neurosurgeon colleague that said there is absolutely no indication for surgery and frankly i could not disagree. the money incentive is very strong and they were eager to have me undergo unnecessary surgery that does carry significant risk. a low white blood cell count and decreased platelets should be worked up but hospitals are not the best places to be if you are worried about being exposed to lots of bacteria and viruses if avoiding infection is the goal. looks like it was not an acute mandatory admission for lets say isolation as you were able to return home and bring your belongings. seems the testing could have been done outpatient with you in a hotel and infection safer environment. the room charge generates a lot of profit and even thai insurance company policies have caps on what they will pay for the room as they know the game.

    Glad to hear your feeling better mate. My question would be, because you had health insurance wouldn’t it have been ok to go to one of the more expensive, nicer hospitals if the insurance company was paying ?

    • @ProjectBangkok
      @ProjectBangkok  2 года назад +2

      For the most part yes.. you will find theres a list of hospitals your insurance company cover.. the one I went to was on the list.. it wasn't top of my thought process to try pick a more expensive place at the time.. as long as I got the medical attention I needed.. never expected to stay in for 5 nights and 6 days thats for sure

    I suppose you’re comparing apples with pears there… You can’t compare a private hospital to the NHS… Any English person knows how much strain the NHS is under and what sort of service they give out these days… That’s why so many people migrate to the UK to get free healthcare

    • @ProjectBangkok
      @ProjectBangkok  2 года назад +1

      Yeah it’s hard to compare to be honest.. nhs is over run because it’s free.. The hospitals here feel empty because there private.. so get an amazing service every time you come
