They say the screen is brighter now so hopefully that combats some glare
crazy my surface pro 5 from 2017 had the same screen reflectivity
That's even worse than the Macbook I had, oh well, at least it's not an ugly matte screen.
I got surface pro 5 too, with the old connection system. It’s trash, so I got a Bluetooth keyboard after the connection broke

It’s encrypted and runs local only, so not really. Also you can turn it off and configure exclusions

Why are the “cute rounded edges” a positive??? It’s missing pixels for no reason, other than for copying every decision Apple makes, in this case a dumb one.

@@AAJJ007 It's a design topic. Ex monitors are mostly designed in rect shapes, where as the back and surface of the surface laptop are designed with rounded corners. Therefore it is good to have the same design on the screen too

Screen reflects just the same as MacBook. If they put a mat screen on it people will just complain about it too and it would be dull and lifeless in comparison

@@LethalPoisonForThrSystem newer ≠ better. I acknowledge that some arm chips are more powerful than some x86_64 chips, but until arm has better support for software I want to use or has complete parity with x86 instructions, I'm not going to even consider it.
@@Nebula_42 that’s fair when it comes for support for certain software, especially if it is a windows, but the processing power is not only greater but also more efficient.
@@LethalPoisonForThrSystem exactly! I agree with this point here, my only issue with arm chips is that, in my personal experience and in the work I do, you're better off just using an x86_64 chip. I see the potential that arm and risc-v chips have as a competitor against x86, but until mobos are being manufactured for them, GPU drivers are provided, etc, etc, I don't consider them an option. I do think in the future we'll see either one of the two become the dominant architecture, but as of now that isn't the case.
