You make me smile! I'm new to epp and just finished a project the traditional way. Wish I saw this sooner! I'll do the flat back method on my next project.

I really enjoyed this video. I use the flat back stitch and love it. It takes me longer to sew but it is so worth it. You positivity is really fun to watch.

Would you normally use 2 strands of thread or is it just for demo purposes?

Great tutorial! I've wanted to make an Apple core quilt but flipping it back and forth on the machine was a bit daunting! Did you use freezer paper, or printer paper? To remove the papers, do you spritz it with water to dissolve the glue so the papers are easier to take out?

Hi Mathew, do you pay attention to lengthwise vs. crosswise grain when you are laying the apple core paper piece on to the fabric, or is it just random?

So how close do you usually make your stitches? How far apart and how long from the joining section? Thank you.

This is so wrong. Have a 12 year old here n I get ear buds in so she is just watching the screen no idea exactly what she is seeing other than sewing video. N LMFAO she goes is he making a quilt out of home made feminine napkins. OMG I managed to explain it was apple core pattern n she goes it's still looks like a panty liner. I was laughing so hard I had tears.
