- A year ago I created a plan to upgrade SFOT and make it a top tier theme park but with the park being big I was only able to complete half of it, so here’s the 2nd half with even more updates and concept art, How could SFOT be updated? Stay tuned to find out

Because it's supposed to focus on the history of Texas, Great America should be the Fourth of July park
Now, if you liked Phase 1 of my plan for fixing Six Flags Over Texas, then you’ll love Phase 2 of my idealistic reconstruction plan:
Phase 2
Pueblo Fiesta (formerly Mexico):
- I love your idea of theming the area to a Mexican village, that’s always partying. To add some extra charm in the area, I’d place a zone with magical alebrijes, similar to Fiesta Village at Knott’s Berry Farm.
- Along with the new walk-around characters, you’d see new costumes designed for the Looney Tunes characters to wear.
- I love your ideas of upgrading El Sombrero and La Fiesta de las Tazas with the new theme of the area.
Desierto de Aventura (formerly Spain):
- Add a themed-sign that welcomes guests to the area.
- The area will take on an abandoned look with giant statues, ruins, walk-around characters, and the music for the land being more tribal.
- Conquistador will now be known as Catástrofe, with the ride now looking like a wrecked ship. The myth surrounding the ride involves a shipwreck that still set sails and moves despite nobody on it. The queue would now take the shape of a port, with posters telling the story of what happened to the ship and upgrades the ride’s experience.
- La Vibora, an Intamin Bobsled coaster, opened in 1984. This ride is reaching the end of it’s lifespan and I could see a new coaster open in its spot. I predict that we could see the park open a new S&S Axis coaster in this location and really change the look and feel of the park for decades to come. This’ll enhance the guest arrival experience that SFOT desperately needs. They would keep the La Vibora name for the new coaster and center around a myth of a giant snake that thrives in the desert. The ride would feature trains looking like wooden vehicles with snake sound effects.
- El Diablo would become Restos (ruins in Spanish). The theme of the attraction would involve an abandoned artifact that no one can explain, which is built like a ring and the fact that you can ride around it confuses everyone. The attraction would take on a stone look, despite being made of metal. The ride’s queue will be an interactive walkthrough that takes guests into a temple with artifacts, smoke effects, music and surprises.
- Casa Magnetica will keep its same explorer theme, which fits so well with the area.
- El Aserradero becomes El Rio Lento, since it’s the park’s newest attraction for the 2024 season. The ride would now take on an adventure theme, as you board a log that takes you around a jungle. It could definitely work with some ride effects (i.e. giant rock work, waterfalls) and a very big, steep drop, which would make the ride more fun.
Johnson Creek (formerly Texas/France):
- Add a themed-sign that welcomes guests to the area.
- This name is already in the park itself with the Johnson Creek Train Station and some buildings in the area.
- The story behind the area is that Johnson Creek is a rural town, located in the most beautiful parts of Texas.
- The area would feature new walk-around characters, that would be residents of the town and going around their daily business. Johnson Creek would also feature pop-up shows happening on the streets, occurring at random times.
- The decor for the area would be all natural with a mixture of Texas-based landscaping.
- Southern Palace Theater would feature some new entertainment.
- The shops and stores that are located in front of Runaway Mountain will be designed to more look like an actual town, for thematic elements and upgrades.
- Runaway Mountain would get a much-needed update to make more natural. This would include the waterfall actually operating, wild animal sound effects, and a few animatronics.
Caddo Harbor (formerly The Tower Section):
- While Johnson Creek focuses on the beauty of the mountains, the plant life and inland of Texas, this area will focus on Texas’ many beaches. Now, to make it different from Fiesta Bay Boardwalk at Fiesta Texas, Caddo Harbor will be a primarily focus on a harbor.
- The themed elements through the area will range from props of big ships, machinery, and ocean life.
- Also, we’ll see the addition of some new walk-around characters, who will be themed to pirates, sailors, and fisherman.
- A few years ago, a stage used to be located right next to Pirates of Speelunker Cave, but it has recently been removed. I could see that area being used for a new dining location, this would be improve the food quality and guest satisfaction.
- Oil Derrick would remain as it is, though with some enhanced theming. The attraction would be updated because some parts of it are rather outdated.
- Now, as the for the former arena that housed the Batman Stunt Show, I predict that we could see a new coaster come to this spot. You may ask yourself, what coaster type could it be? Well, how about a new Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) Wild Moose coaster. This would be a great addition for families, and I’d give the ride the name Jolly Roger, which will be themed to pirates.
- I think that it’ll be time for Superman: Tower of Power to get a major change. The queue will take the look of a beach house, that’s owned by the Kent family, with a giant hole in the middle. The new story for the attraction will involve Superman facing against Lex Luthor, who has built a storm machine. The attraction will also feature new effects like converting two of the towers to fit in the new S&S Spin Shot tower, new lighting effects, and a Thunder sound effect right before you plummet.
- Roaring Rapids would be enhanced as these rides have come a long way since it was added in 1983. Also, there would be a brand-new theme, involving you entering a wild river where you accidentally encounter pirates and sea creatures. The attraction will contain all-new props, a reference to the original Skull Island, new water effects and animatronics.
- Dive Bomber Alley will be replaced with a Gerstlauer Sky Roller, which will be a reference to the former Great Six Flags Air Racer attraction. I’ll name the attraction Texas Air Race.
Music Mill (formerly Shockwave Plaza):
- Add a themed-sign that would welcome guests to the area.
- The new area will be a reference to the former Music Mill Amphitheater and feature a connection with Texas’ history of music (with the focus on the different genres of music).
- I predict that you’ll see new costumes designed for the Looney Tunes characters to wear in the area.
- Shock Wave will keep it’s attraction name, but it will feature a brand-new theme of a radio station called Shockwave 62 FM. The story of the coaster is that the station’s music is so good, you’ll be riding every note. There would be a new indoor, covered queue with A/C, the station looking like a radio, sound effects, upgraded trains and on-board audio (which is a remix of the theme to Over Texas). Plus, similar to Jolly Rancher Remix at HersheyPark, the music genre will be changed and randomized every single ride. The genres include Pop, Orchestra, Jazz, Rock and Country.
- It’s true that the days of go-karts in amusement parks are already numbered, with most parks removing theme. However, your idea of keeping and re-theming them to fit the area is spectacular!
- I definitely agree, the Music Mill Amphitheater doesn’t get used as much anymore, especially since it takes up a prime real estate in-between the New Texas Giant and Shock Wave. So, adding a Mack Ride Multi-Launch coaster (similar to Copper Head Strike at Carowinds) in this location is a really good fit.
- Also, during the summer, it would be cool that the park would create a nighttime event in the area, similar to ElecTRONica and Mad T Party at Disney California Adventure.
Before I go further with the rest of the restructuring plan, Hurricane Harbor, SFOT’s water park, would receive some major improvements. These include adding some landscaping, replacing the old go-karts track and golf course with a new wave pool as well as the former wave pool with a WhiteWater West Master Blaster water coaster. Also, the old lazy river would be removed and rebuild with a new, improved layout.
Wynne Square (formerly New Texas Giant Plaza):
- This area will have a theme that’s centered around the 1920’s - with a Western twist.
- The buildings will now have an Art-Deco look mix with a Western feel.
- Some of the entertainment that would happen in the area include a fake movie shooting, a flash mob of Roaring 20’s dancers, a group of musicians playing music for guests (similar to the Five and Dime Band at Disney’s California Adventure) and policemen guiding guests where to go.
- The musical ambience for the area would 1920’s Swing music.
- I love your ideas of updating the attractions in the area, especially your idea of the Chaparral Antique Cars involving a retelling of the park’s history and a full story all in one.
After exploring each of the park’s themed areas and looking at how I would change them, let’s take a look at the area over by Titan.
Big Bend Ranch (formerly Titan Backlot):
- In my opinion, this area is a dead zone, since it doesn’t have any theming at all. Other than Titan and Sidewinder, there’s nothing much to do. So, I decided to theme the area around an actual farm, with a twist. The area is secretly a UFO hotspot that contains some mysterious objects and unexplained sightings.
- Add a themed-sign that welcomes guests into the area.
- The new theme for Titan will involve a secret base launching rockets within a farmland. When guests first enter, the queue from the outside will have a normal Western feel. But once you’re inside, you’ll see high-tech computers that look like a laboratory. As you board the coaster, you’ll start ascending into space before dropping into a black hole with lighting effects (similar to Fury 325). The ride will also have a new paint scheme and trains that are way more themed.
- Some decorations will be added throughout (i.e. warning signs, the sounds of rocket launching in the background, etc.)
- I think you’ll see the addition of a few new flat rides near Titan.
- Of course, there’s more to the land, with room over by the Big Bend Ranch Picnic Pavilion for a new coaster. Possibly, a thrilling one or one that’s aimed towards families.
And with that, my restructuring plan for Six Flags Over Texas is now completed. Before I go, here’s a recap of all the lands in the park:

I'm surprised but also happy that there's other people out there who wishes for more theming in their local Six Flags, my home park is Great America and i loan for it's emphasis on theming, i hope the merger can bring it back
I've been anticipating this video for a long time. It definitely delivered. I thought another cool idea for Superman Tower would be to make it like someone struck oil and the three towers made it look like oil geysers shooting you in the air, to go with the oil derrick. Like make the seat you're sitting on shake a little before shooting you in the air. I think I like your idea better though.
I. Just. LOVE. This. Idea!! For caddo harbor, on river rapids, it could be themed to a spaniard ship attacking your ship. There would be loud booms like cannons being shot and props like the pirates of speedlunker cave props and cannons. You’ve inspired me to try to start my own channel for roller coster videos. I need a good start, and I feel like I can’t match your level of effort you put into your videos. Can you share some tips and tricks? Love your vids, been here since 1k subs. Have a good night.
Just be unique in your ideas, be creative in what u do, and it’s a process so don’t be discouraged so easily put in the work and the efforts will show🫡

I've never heard of such a horrible plan!!! If you don't like this park, DON'T GO!!! This plan will bankrupt them!!! This would make the park HORRIBLE!!! They might as well throw their money down the toilet. Better yet, why don't you throw your money down the toilet?!?!
Six Flags, please don't do any of this! The park is almost perfect the way it is, minus a few small changes that need to be made.
You do understand that never once in the video did I say I don’t like this park? As a fan of this park, as a fan In general you strive to see your favorite thing become even better. Not to mention this is all hypothetical meaning money isn’t included and it’s not realistic. Please make sure you watch the video before you make comments like this
