I hate to tell you this. I work for this park. And they will never reconstruction they all ready have more plans to add more rides. I'm sorry. But keep dreaming are ceo and park president won't go for it
If I decided to become in charge of Six Flags Over Texas, here’s how I would view my idealistic reconstruction plan: Phase 1 Star Mall (now Lone Star Plaza) - The Alamo-themed front entrance would be pushed forward, so that there’s more room to enter and exit. - The walkways will be expanded and pavers would replace some of the blacktop - The landscaping gets an enhancement - Some decorations will be added throughout (i.e. photo-ops, historical facts) - The Silver Star Carousel is renamed to the Lone Star Carousel - The Carousel Stage is removed - I highly doubt that the park wanted to use the Looney Tunes Shop and DC Store for a Texas-themed store. However, there are several vacancies within the area that could be repurposed.
Bugs Bunny Boomtown - No major changes except to rename the area Bugs Bunny World - As for the Six Flags Universe store that’s located in front of the area, I’d make it more centered around the history of the park and sell all-kinds of classic memorabilia based around it. Boomtown - Add a themed-sign that welcomes guests to the area - Embrace the mining town theme; add theming elements like steam and miner walk-around characters - Considering the two spikes that the ride has, I could see Aquaman: Power Wave get re-themed with some oil towers and nice themed elements - As for Pandemonium, they could rename it Twister and be themed to a tornado, of course. - Justice League: Battle for Metropolis would get a much-needed overhaul. This includes upgrading the ride’s effects and improving the screens.
Gotham City - I could definitely see the park go all out with the theming in the area. This includes more walk-around characters, more entertainment that’s related to Batman and the DC comics, and cool events that could take place in the area. - Add a gate that welcomes guests to the area - The area would get pavers to make it look fresh - Since the ride has a dual loading station, Mr. Freeze could have one of the trains run forward and the other backwards - Harley Quinn Spinsanity is removed and replaced by the world’s largest Zamperla Zetta Swing - The area between Batman the Ride and Harley Quinn could be used for a new, indoor play area, similar to Hidden Hollow at Dollywood. The outer façade could look like a circus tent belonging to the Joker, but inside it’s a playground for kids and families.
Judge Roy Scream Plaza (now Goodtimes Square) - This area would be an all-new version of the original version of Goodtimes Square that debuted at the park in 1973. - Cloud Bouncer gets renamed to Goodtimes Cloud Bouncer - The Majestic Theater could house a new entertainment venue inside; however, it wouldn’t be just a show. Within, there would be an exhibit and film involving the history of Over Texas - Some charming photo-ops could be added throughout the area - Judge Roy Scream gets a complete re-track and re-profile by GCI, with the addition of modern trains. - I like your idea of adding a new flat ride to turn around of Judge Roy Scream. I’d go for a Zamperla Nebulaz. That’s how I would view Phase 1 of my ideal reconstruction plan for Six Flags Over Texas. Love your vid 👍
I see you working and I like your ideals. My first trip to Six Flags was in 1972 and the theming reflected “the six flags” that flew over the state. I loved it and our family visited every year. Sadly, like every thing else it seems, they sold out to the corporate mighty dollar. Looney Tunes and DC comics destroyed it for me and it has never been the same.
I agree! There was a lot of "charm" when it had actual sections & theming. The Confederate had the least attractions save the Cave, live show & restaurant. Still, I loved the very unique Cave.
Ive said for awhile Six Flags needs to invest in Gotham/Metropolis at their parks with better theming and use of the licensing. I'd love to see them take a page from Disney/Universal in building proper interactive elements. Similar to what Disney did with Galaxies Edge, you could build in ARG elements into the already existing area with a minimum cost. tying it into the Six Flags app or even coming out w/ an added value toy/collectable similar to Web Slingers themed to the Bat Family.
I like the whole idea for Judge Roy, but it isn't "weird" and it does have a theme, I guess it's just themed to some Judge named Judge Roy Bean. I really don't understand how this correlates with anything in the park, but that is just what it is. Thanks for the video though, I love the ideas!
I like the kid friendly indoor area! Not just for rainy days but because of the TX heat. Though, I have a feeling so many would use that as a hang out place, so there would need to be some form of crowd control for sure
JB I love a lot of the suggestions! I do think the Looney Tunes walk arounds would be missed unless there are NEW walk arounds for kids to embrace. Good Times Square was a favorite spot for me. Buc-ee's is a would make a wonderful sponsor. Maybe bring back gas station that was in the P-Lot. I'm old school, so I know know the meaning of Judge. I'm torn between 2nd RMC, but If they did that, Yep! a flat ride + shooting gallery in that area + put the chase lights BACK!!!! Dang! That area needs a wake UP. It's right in FRONT! I see you shot it recently w/ flags 1/2 staff. Must have been when QE II just passed. I also love the historic show you mentioned. Well worth it, but I'd include a whole experience with models, maps & even ride vehicles.
JB. Also a side note. When I worked @ AstroWorld, I re-drew the park. Slimmed down the sections that were I felt redundant from 11 to about 6 or 7. XLR-8 Plaza being one into a Mexicana area, European & Alpine one section, Thunder River now part of Oriental Corner as the Monsoon. There was also to be a monorail (which originally was to traverse loop I-610 over the bridge from the P-lot) International Plaza now was ALL Coney Island an extension of Americana Square.
Your imagination is incredible I love this video. As well as all your videos. And yes 6 flags will have to make some epic changes over the next 2 years to compete with universal or just continue to die a slow and painful death.

Dude they can’t even repair the rotting fence around the front of the park . They aren’t spending money to do this . Good idea tho , but it will never happen .
You have some great ideas, I love Buc-ee's a lot of people do,and it is crazy that a Texas theme park doesn't have a shop with Texas themed items.Some new rides are needed desperately to get this park back to where it needs to be, but this new CEO of six flags doesn't seem to want to do anything except spend money on technology that's going to make you spend more money in the park not to mention that their passes have gone up three times what it used to be with no new rides at six flags over Texas nothing new except being able to spend $12 on a 20 oz drink and a lot of the times their rides are closed so what's the point of being open with only three rides open something needs to change over there.
I like your thoughts, but for as much as they invested into the loony/ DC store I doubt they would touch it for now. Though there are several vacancies in the front area that could be repurposed into a Texas themed store. As for the rides they could be transitioned into anything (see pirates of spelunkers cave for the best example of refurbishment). I don’t see them separating from WB anytime soon, but I could see them making changes in theming to compete with Fiesta. Thanks for the video and look forward to this parks future. Side note: I still believe that the Judge Roy Scream should either get an RMC upgrade or be scrapped for a newer coaster. Or better yet shoe horn another coaster/ attraction next to it.
The park is almost perfect the way it is and that's why this is the only park in my area that I actually like. Changing most of it in any way will probably make it worse. The first half of your "plan" would make this park so horrible that NOBODY would ever come back! I would HATE this park!!! It would basically be just like any other normal theme park in my area. WE NEED TO KEEP THIS FROM HAPPENING!!! I am so sick and tired of people taking all the good things in this world away from me! SFOT is fine the way it is! If you don't like it, then FIND ANOTHER PARK!!! As for the rest, the only parts you are right about is Gotham and Goodtimes Square, even though Goodtimes Square CLEARLY still exists there. The video about the past is yet another horrible idea! The past needs to stay burried in the past! If we constantly try to think about the past, problems happen because we don't think about the present or future. What then happens is nothing gets fixed, construction never progresses, and everything will continue on a downward spiral. I really do wish to have a 60s, 70s, or 80s themed park again, but not exactly how you described.
Uh sorry bro but I think you’re in the minority here, what you’re proposing is zero change and if that’s the case then the theme park will go downhill, a theme park is made to change through the years and if you disagree that’s fine but there’s no need for hate comments

If I decided to become in charge of Six Flags Over Texas, here’s how I would view my idealistic reconstruction plan:
