    You don't have to remove the radiator! just remove the top hose and access the side that rests up against the frame from the other side of the bike right between the fender and frame. Just pull the radiator slightly to expose the holes and use a drill with a long extension and set it to a low torque setting so it ratchets instead of stripping the bolt. I installed the easy side first then did the hard side to get to second. This method worked perfectly!

    Just received my Tusk Fan kit. It is a high quality product but unfortunately will not fit with my Flatland Radiator guards.

    Hi, very dissapointed, temp sensor and a new thermostat/display. Stopped working in my first ride, seems to be a common problem the temp sensor and LCD.
    Changed the Sensor and nothing happens.

    The Trail Tech fan kit has a very high quality European SPAL fan which moves massive CFM. I don't see this tiny Panasonic fan moving as much air and that is the whole point.

      The Tusk fan moves more air than a lot of the other options out there and both Trail Tech and Tusk use 4" fans in their kits. Both are great options.
      Thanks for checking out the video!

      I’ve had the KTM brand fan on my 450, and recently I’ve put this Tusk kit on my 2018 300 XC-W. They both worked well. It’s a small fan for a small radiator. It doesn’t take much to cool it. I ride in Oklahoma in 100+ degree temps and the Tusk fan works fine @ $70 less than Trail Tech. I also like that you can put the controller where you want. I put mine on top of the frame just forward of the fuel tank, I like to see what temp my bike is running at.

    What larger aftermarket tank would this fit with?

    I just put this on my new 450xcf. I have seen these kill batteries because they will run a few minutes after bike is shut off until temperatures go down. I wired mine to a switch. But had to cut harness off and re wire. They should have a switch on them for these damn bikes that don't have kickstarters as back up

      These fans are designed to be mounted on bikes that are liquid cooled and have radiators.

    I'd assume this would also work for the GPX TSE/FSE250s ?

      Brian, we haven't tested fitment on that bike and although similar, the bike does have several parts that are different so we can't say for certain that it will work.

    I bought a fan for my 2021 te 300 that I'm planning to install a radiator fan. Tusk from RM atv's. do guys know If i have to buy a relay or something that will not drain my battery? This is the first time I've installed a fan. I have no idea how much battery it uses. Is there anyone here who has installed one before? Can you give me ideas or recommendations? I did a search and didn't find anything. Thanks in advance for your help with this

    I’d prefer to buy the Tusk fan over Trail tech because of cost, I’m just not thrilled about having to mount the digital meter with 3M tape as opposed to the trail tech meter being built in. Anyone have any issues with the tusk meter staying put? Or better places to mount it?

    • @starwars615
      @starwars615 5 лет назад +1

      Pat I mounted mine on top of the frame just forward of the fuel tank. It fits well there and should not take any hits in that location as well as being convenient for monitoring the temp. The 3M tape included is very strong, I don’t see it coming off easily.

      @@rmatvmc ok but is there anything that can help air cooled bikes stay from over heating

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  5 лет назад

      @@moto_tech_braap_itout9852 There isn't much you can do besides normal maintenance like making sure your cooling fins are clean. Other regular maintenance like keeping up on oil changes, jetting, valve adjustments, etc. will all help to keep your temperatures down. Also riding faster ;)
