First year I got a handgun it went like this: set aside $100/mo., buy three boxes of ammo. Put one box away, shoot one box that day, 2 weeks later shoot the second box. Two weeks after that buy 3 boxes again. You save some ammo, practice at the range with the methods you used: shoot slow, shoot small, used dummy rounds to humble myself and force me to work on recoil anticipation. Ended up shooting 1 round very 60-120 seconds and THAT saved on ammo
Boolit dry laser dry fire is affordable. I use mine twice a week. A toddler and baby at home don't make it easy to make time, but I will definitely try upping the amount. Great info! 💯💯💯
I just got my tlr-7x! Gonna use it on the same canik. I usually purchase in big bulk. I do my best to go to the range at once a month. I do like the idea of drawing from holster and dry firing 30 min a day. Great advice bro💪

My range has a membership where they have crazy reduced(target) ammo that is much cheaper then online so I try to go that way and just buy my defensive rounds online. Also, thank you for not making me feel crazy for dryfiring everyday lol!
I remember when i was in LA county and the ammo was cheap (2009?), went to a gun convention in Glendale, I didn't have a car but there i am, with 3 50cal cans full of ammo riding on the LA metro bus while everyone's looking at me like I'm a psycho.....lololol. i miss when ammo used to be so cheap Edit: cause I don't re read before i post like a big dummy
I use a ballistic calculator to design a zeroing target upon which I mark the poa and poi at 5 yards. With this I zero at home so I just have to tweak the zero at the range and save on ammo during the zeroing process. Using this method to bore sight the zero on an AR is a good way to save ammo as well.

You will panic and turn a tap and rack into a double feed, or an emergency reload, then catch yourself anticipating recoil with enough “stress.” Practice clearing malfunctions and drills against friends. Do it standing, sitting, kneeling, and one handed. Keep it simple, honest and fun. I’d rather work through issues in a classroom or competitive setting than in the field.

Get one of those Amazon Price trackers, and put some of the reloading presses on it, eventually you'll get an inexpensive one pop up. I just saw a Lee Single, for $40 last week. Then do the same for dies for 9mm, and .223... And build from there. Hopefully you're part of your State's gun forum, and subbed to the classifieds. Lots of reloading stuff comes up there. And make friends with the local range to get some or all of their brass and downrange lead.
