There are two ways to do it. Either narrow and long rectangular lights with their "directionality" parameter set to 1. Or one big rectangular light with it's directionality set to 1 AND also using a black/white image mask for the patter than should be projected.
after watching and learning so much from you and your channels, i have to ask, how many softwares do you know bro, seems like you know everything, nice video btw
Very cool and informative video! Makes me wonder what made you switch from blender to rhino? Especially when Blender's subd capabilities are usually considered superior to rhino.
For production - you want your curved geometry to be NURBS , simply unlocks many more pissibilities in how the design can be manipulated. Currently Blender doesn't offer that, so at a certain stage - a shift to a CAD software needs to be made.
Yeah interesting question. I usually build SubD topology in Blender and then import to Rhino for final tweaks and NURBS conversion. I much prefer the SubD tools in Blender.
Hey! do you have an iPad or Android tablet? I use NOMAD sculpt to set up my ideas then I clean them up in rhino/ blender. I find blender a pain to sculpt in a fun way
You can check the usage/interest trends of a specific software by going to trends.google.com and typing in "Rhinoceros 3D" for example. People seem to use it more than in 2020 , but compared to other competitors - the community is still somewhat small.
Great video and dedication on your end remodeling that sculpt💀 ,Im super curious on how you rendered those laser like lights on the helmet ?

Hmm I should try it out. Once I have the time, I'll look into it!
reminds me helmet of advent troops in X-COM game
good game tho
Have you given Plasticity a try?
Not yet, people are saying it's pretty good - so I'll try it out soon
I thought most people didn’t use rhino anymore
