- We test a 2013 Scion tC at Toronto Motorsports Park after upgrading to TSW Panorama rotary forged wheels, Continental ContiSportContact 5P tires, TB Performance camber-adjustable rear arms, and Tein S-Tech lowering springs.
I like to think that the Scion tC, Toyota Celica, Acura RSX, and Integra GSR are all sister cars.
So true, they all have that sexy racecar look.. i finally got a tc because it was almost like the celica precessor
They all have that Burnout 3 Sport Compact vibe
@@curti5969 same lmao
damn, after seeing this video has made me proud to have a tc. that tc was freakin awesome
This car was slower around the track than a forester xt, Mazda 2, and only a second faster than a Rav 4 😂
+daphenom45 Hey it's not always about speed man. It's fun to drive.
+daphenom45 just sayin.
victor galvan2 sure if the GTI, MS3, FOST, FIST, SRT, VT, and others didn't exist I guess you could put this in the cheap performance arena; but they do and this car is a rebadge Camry
Your car is still shit. And i will destroy your shit homeboy
You Yanks seem to under-estimate Scion tCs. In other countries, the tC is the car of choice for road-racing, behind the MX5 Miatas. Honda cars come in 4th or 5th.
George McKean you're a fucking idiot. You all drive slow cars then
@@AlphaFlight shut the fuck up
Glad to see somebody else that thinks the tc has good handling. I love my 15 tc thats actually the 6 speed manual transmission and all ive done is wider more aggresive tires and ive suprised a lot of people with what its capable of.
Got the same car man. It actually grips like a mf
Got the same car too, i love it. I recommend and cold air intake i put one in my manual 15 tC and noticed a good difference in throttle response and sound
I've got a peppy stock 2008 tC and its certainly an impressive little thing while stock, i can't imagine how good i could make it by changing stuff up.
Automatic is like drinking decaff
It's a shame that 11 through 13 models didn't have the rev matching breaking transmission system. But the 14 through 16 did, making the car quite trackable
Love all scion tcs. They're amazing, and I have the first generation one
Jonathan Chen loser ass car
@@AlphaFlight lmao and you have an aggot impala
@@AlphaFlight u a bum
@@AlphaFlight bro shut your dumbass up
Just subbed to you guys. I like you guys keep it up
What are the specs for the tires/rims. Offsets and everything? I like how this looks
What's in this engine? There's no way stock engine goes that fast
They're from Canada. It's in kmh not mph. It tricked me too until I read the description.
It's the 2.4L toyota puts int he camry, rav4, venza and a few other models. Not that much power, but the torque curve is great, which could explain the decent time.
Nicolas Gauthier
false. it is the 2.5 previous gen 1 tc's had the 2.4 now they all come with 2.5. the car with springs & Sways makes a hell of a difference and of course uprated tires and rims make a bit of difference too
+Nicolas Gauthier slower than a Mazda 2 isn't decent at all lol
2.4L same engine in the camry and rav4 (2AR-FE)
you guys got potential to get big :)
This is a fun comment 10 years later. Proud to see how far they've gone.
Faster than most? What does that even mean? Could you post some other cars times we could compare it to
Hey, I would like to make my 2013 scion tc faster, any tips?
PrinceAng3ll buy a differnt car
Adrian Nava lol look up Drew Peck. 800hp tC
@@AlphaFlight You’re a loser for replying to every positive comment lol
exhaust, intake, coilovers, grippy tires, aero
Lol at first i thought this was a game
Forza or something like that lmao
Nice video
I know this guys car :D! My boy Mike! Scionation!
if you guys ever want to do a mod my scion series, i'm local and have mint stock crimson gen2 donor car that i'd happily lend you to experiment on!
I love my 2013 tC 6-speed manual...Bought it with an Injen short ram air intake...maybe next will be the Injen exhaust kit.
Can you tell a dif with intake
@@ericstevenson2930 a little bit yes. Sadly the fun is ruined right now as I have to get a new clutch or transmission installed soon.
"it thought we were gonna die" xD 2:55
Where can I get my interior done with the color green or any other color very very nice
Great driving
geremi That is vinyl wrap and it can be done by yourself very easily actually!
Speed Academy what kind of auto place does that type of work? Iam not good at going things like that lol but thank you
geremi You need to find a local speed shop. What are do you live in? If it's in North America I'm sure we can recommend one.
Speed Academy nyc where do u recommend? :-)
geremi We've been told Xclusiv Autosports would be a good spot to have something interior work done. facebook.com/XclusvAutosports?hc_location=ufi
Hope that helps.
I'd like to put it up against my 09 TC
I'd take you with my custom 12
What about hp mods? Suspension meh..
Would Dunlop Dierrezza Zii star spec be good tires for this car?
Nice video, I tested a 2015 stock tC at big Willow automatic as well. Felt slow, only cause it's a fast track. Stock tires really suck ass, side wall kept giving up during hard turning.
+KrAzYsTc Let's face it, the car isn't ideal for track use, especially an automatic.
+Speed Academy auto sucks cause won't let you downshift when you want to. I have a Scion tC that I race in time attack. It's turbo as well pushing 350whp
+KrAzYsTc That's our kinda Scion tC!
+FloresRacing hey I have a 2015 with TRD lowering springs, air intake, and strut brace, but I am still rocking stock tires. I want to get some really crazy tires. Are Dunlop Direzza Zii Star Spec, which are EXTREME performance summer tires, will that be good on this car? What is the craziest tire, that isnt an R-compound or racing slick do you recommend for this car?
+2583060 those are good tires, other good tires are hankook rs3, potenza re-71r and other ones are good as well
That track looks like the tsukuba circuit
Why is it in KPH? Is this Canada?
Plz anyone know what are the exact mods and all that that are put on this tc?
Andrea Sanchez it says it at the beginning of the video and in the description 🤦🏻♂️
Why ? WHY ? Why would someone buy an automatic ?
the auto tc is faster than a manual
Shane P thanks for your opinion but I don't care. Real cars guys don't really care.
+Shane P the auto is slightly faster in straight line racing but the stick is good for cornering
not everyone has fun driving you know....
KillahPi what's your numbers bro
What’s the interior wrapped with
what track timer app are you using?
Curious on your modes and your front lip you used
what rims are those
What brakes are you using?
What are every single mod done to this car cuz to me, this is the best looking tc I’ve seen so far, every other one I seen has been fagged out😂
Where can I find lap times at this track to compare this to?
Jump on CSCS.ca for Time Attack lap times at Toronto Motorsports Park, or for unmodified vehicles here's a link to all the press cars Dave has track tested at TMP for AutoGuide.com: www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2014/12/fastest-lap-times-at-the-autoguide-test-track.html
Thank you very much.
Is the speed in kmph or mph?
KMS
i would consider lsd and come back again
T231 Flexx it’s FWD homie
an auto? really?
thats dope lol
why the hell would you not get the manual. that what i got
cause its uncomfortable to try and turn and then shift at the same time?
Not all yanks. I love my tc for autocross and daily driver.
That's what he got, so that's what everybody should get guys.
Automatic for the loss...
Scion tC = Waste. Of. Money.
It's a sporty hatch corolla and it's pretty darn cheap. Also accept low-grade fuel and it's undestructible. It's a good "compromise" beater for young people ;).
Handles well, good torque, fun to drive, and starts at 19k. Add that and toyota reliability and it's solid. You sir have no idea what you're talking about.
The ignorance in all of that blabber you typed out is hilarious. That's a nice impreza in your profile pic man. Not an sti but super rice! I meant nice honest mistake.
What I meant was it's a waste of money to tune it. My bad. I'm sure it's a good car stock.
Dash Equal Dash I can attest to the engine management tuning no go. Had one of the most powerful piggybacks, the GReddy Ultimate, on my 2005 tC (2AZ-FE) with the TRD S/C pulling 15 PSI and all the supporting mods. One of the nest tuners, Kenny Tran could not get the engine to budge at all. The Toyota ECM either ignores or quickly alters any inputs by the GReddy. Car ran like crap over what it did at 9.5 PSI. Removed the GReddy and went straight stock ECM with the TRD maps. Car does nothing but spin the wheels with the stock diff and Nitto Invos. Car runs normal otherwise. Had Kenny do a full engine build but got injured and out of a job before I could buy a full stand alone. The tC is tuneable in the suspension but it lacks in off the shelf components so some mods have to be handmade if looking to do serious track duty. All in all, it was a kick arse car that car you quite a lot for less than $17K and had no equal in comparison back in 2005-2006.
