I bought my first pistol last week after watching dozens of reviews. I didn't want the Glock, and I'm very happy and excited about my L9 A2. I couldn't have chosen a better pistol for my first. It's very accurate and easy to use. I'm watching this video now, but the feeling is the same. It's an excellent option.
I actually found one at my local gun shop in the flesh and had to get it. I do like it better then my M9-A1. For the last year or so I have lusting over the L9-A2, Archon Type B, and the extremely expensive Laugo Arms Alien. The Laugo is out of my price range, the Archon Type B is almost impossible to find, and the Steyr L9-A2 has incredible value and was available so I went with it. My Wife and I are big fans of Steyr Firearms. Our AUG M3-A1 is her favorite rifle to shoot. The L9-A2 has replaced our M9-A1 as our main Home Defense Handgun.

#007 that is awesome man, Beautiful Steyr can't wait for these to be readily available. They're Great underrated options.
There available at Steyr open house 1st this week August 15,16,17. And are available nationwide on the 19th

It would be great if they offered a pro pack with 3 mags extra threaded barrel and tactical holster. And possibly cut for optics. Go big with value! Even competition model. Really take on Glock and CZ.

Had heard about the MF coming out 1yr ago but then heard they had no plan of making a subcompact. So, I bought the S9-A1 . Sad to say, horrible mistake. Took it to the range for the first time and had all types of malfunctions. Sent it into Steyr they had it for about 3weeks. One bright spot was Jeff at Steyr was great to deal with.They replaced many parts sent back and said it was all good in test fire. However, they test fired with 147 gr ammo. Not sure about where you are but finding 147 plinking ammo in my parts is like finding Bigfoot. Once back in my hands I took it to range. Firing 115 ammo it failed to go into full battery 8 out 65 rounds. I used two different brands of ammo , two different magazines and two different shooters. Then to be sure it was not ammo, Fired the same mix in my Glock 26, 100+ rounds, no issues. Steyr is closed for the holidays,. Will have to wait to see what is next. Sad to say first Steyr will probably be my last.
Phill so sad to hear that you had all types of problems I believe I've heard about this on one of the forums.
Hopefully Steyr will get you squared away an fix you up. I will have to say I have been working with and on Steyrs since the 90s and with all manufacturing there's always that 1 bad 1 . It sucks that you got it.
If you Ever come to one of my range days or get over and my neck of the woods I would be happy to reinsure your faith and the Steyr line I've got a number of their pistols from stock to fully modified.
TN Steyr, from your lips to the gun god’s ears. I have thought about getting the s9 for years but the after market ($40 mags. ect...) always kept me away. I have owned a number of guns and brands, never an issue besides a Taurus in my 20s. However, a few years back I decided to go all Glock and got rid of everything else. It was just for consistency and easy of being able to modify and work on them myself. I was about to buy a Glock 30s when I saw a new S9-A1 for sale at a good price. I said what the hell. I loved the ergonomics , the sights, trigger and I shoot it very well but if it doesn’t go bang every time , what is the point. My hope is that Steyr can get it right or get me a new one that does go bang. It is just very disappointing that I have 2 1/2 weeks off work and time to shoot but a new gun that can’t and $60 dollar holster coming that I may never feel comfortable enough with the gun to carry in it.

Thanks for the review, I love mine, if I could change one thing it would be to round off and shape the front of the grip, it feels a bit square. Love the super low bore axis and how it stays on task. Why more people don't know about these is a mystery to me.

Loved shooting the new A2 at the CMP Steyr day, but tbh my L9-A1 has a better trigger, racks smoother and fits my hand better. The A2’s were demo guns, but so was my A1; so round counts on all are high.
Really wish they would have given up on their sight mount and gone to something else with an aftermarket.

Love the look, Love the bore axis, how does the recoil impulse and muzzle flip compare to a glock?
Iam not the best one to answer that one . As I think Glocks are junky and don't like them a bit. But I will try to be objective.. Comparing any polymer 9mil, in a 4" to 4 /1/2 inch barrel .
Glock, XD, sig, FN. I don't think the Actual muzzle jump is much different if you were to Measure it but how it feels an how you can control it is everything. The Steyr due to the angles and grip is everything . And it just shoots Better.
I have taken glock people and just handed them the Steyr, not saying anything. And most 75-80% of people do better with it . By 25 to 30% Tighter groups at the same distance.
@@TnSteyr the trigger too sounds pretty solid. I invested a bunch in glocks aftermarket etc. Im kind of scared to get a Steyr and i'll love it too much haha
Scuttlebutt on SteyrClub.com is that a new A2 MF shipment will be sent by October. Bad news is that they are all presold. Time to make more.

I need accessories for this gun. I put a micro sight n red/green 800 lumen light on it but i need more lol. The g7 tactical recover holster works for it but am in armed security so i need better retention
DoubleClick Holsters had a LEO Setup. If you need more light check out A INFORCE wild 2 or 1

The L9A2MF is out and available , if your asking about the TNS slidecuts. The 1st ones were a limited run. But I have had a Co pick up the design. Km3 Solutions.

I was told . " by the end of the year " I know that there was 2 shipments inbound 30 days ago. Best I have at the moment

They came out In August. I have seen them on the web for sale. You can call Steyr USA and ask them who has one in stock by you or see about getting one scene to your FFL. With the ( I WHAT A STEYR Program )

Check your LGS , gun sale sites. Steyr said on there last Newsletter that the next shipments were do in late August or September.

@@southpaw1519 I have no idea. The new Main date code is easy and I like it . But it's the SN# that needs the Explanation on knowing when it was built and how many are build.

Just a function test. I have spent the last little bit building it for what I wanted for competition gun . I'll start shooting it full time in about 2weeks
