Remembering Derek "Lek" Leckenby born on May 14, 1943. He was an English musician and lead guitarist, most famous for his work with English pop group Herman's Hermits. Leckenby is credited with arranging the band's first big hit, "I'm into Something Good". His skills on guitar and dobro are heard on releases such as the LP A Whale of a Tale and the later singles, such as "Ginny Go Softly" and "Heart Get Ready for Love". - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derek_Leckenby

16 years ago I went to Florida. Pete Noone did an afternoon gig in Bush Gardens. The music was exactly like these old recordings. Many commented on it, but, to my surprise, he told loads of jokes and funny stories. He was hilarious, like a pro comedian. Absolutely ripped into the Yanks, but they took it all in good humour, which is what it was. Good experience.
