Rainbows have become legit my favourite fish. I can't get enough of them, there are so many types too and they all look fantastic, they are so energetic and active too.
This vid made my week just that bit happier. I was at my grandparents for a few days and tradegy came. I lost important fish, killed many of my first angelfish fry- failed to hatch brine shrimp and for some random reason my infusoria didn’t work, I might have to try the moss way instead. My air system broke as I got home and my whole 4ft has Gill flukes. And last week I lost my first ever bn eggs to fungus even with a tumbler. I have auto feeders and my parents were still home to feed. Broke my 4ft internal pump and my pond pump, lost a goldfish dear to me. Last month I lost six ten year old goldfish my dying neighbour game me because his pond broke. He thinks they are alive but I don’t think he will ever make it to see them. Maybe god hates me. 😢 keep being amazing Nick.
Hey bro don’t worry about it! I made all of your mistakes once too. You will work it out. Just forget about it and enjoy your grandparent and try and fix it when you get back. It will work out, just don’t give up. Keep trying to learn and fix things until it works. I almost every time screw up my first batch breeding any fish.
Your such a breath of fresh air. Always entertaining, fun, & educational. You make me want to visit your fish room. Keep up the great work.👍🤗😎🥰 MERRY CHRISTMAS
Nick, always enjoy your videos. It's nice that you found something you love and can also make money doing. Not many people are fortunate to have that. Happy Holidays to you and yours! Looking forward to more content.
I was chatting with my local fish guy and he mentioned they had some in stock. The sunlight was hitting them just right and they were breathtakingly beautiful.
Love rainbows so easy to keep, I only have the native creek ones about 17 but only one big male "drerp" he's about 12cm but want to breed them to see what coulors I could get, so much help thanks mate didn't know I needed a mop wish me luck🙂
I just had my Bolivian rams surprise me with babies. Unfortunately as I added some rainbows to the tank. There's 5 total in a 30 gallon planted tank, with a small school of dwarf neons. I've got two different types of substrate, one sand and one plant growing medium below that. I don't exactly have a set up to remove the fry, I do have another tank but I'm not sure it would be good for them. I also have a very small tank, but again I don't think it's a good fit. (water quality, Temp, lack of plants, big fish, etc) The parents are doing a great job keeping everyone away, and are being tolerant of the rainbows and the Otto's for the most part. What do you suggest as far as keeping them in the 30 gallon with everyone else in it? There's a ton of hiding space but I'm worried they will get eaten by the other rams and I don't know what I should feed them, I also don't want to disturb/stress the parents by moving their clutch. There's also ghost shrimp, I'm worried those are gonna try to eat them as well. Do you think the little guys stand a chance in here?
@@AquariumAficionado sadly it was a disaster.. the mated pair became extremely aggressive, they killed several fish, I couldn't keep up with the feeding as they spawned in a populated, planted tank and kept moving the babies around. Slowly but surely everyone began to die including hundreds of babies and the result was a significant financial loss on top of the time and love of my fish. Currently dealing with an outbreak of brown algae due to all the casualties. Suffice to say, if this happens again I'll immediately be relocating fish to prevent future heartache. I am inclined to chalk it up to excessive feeding ( baby food dispersed everywhere and didn't really get consumed) and too many casualties I didn't remove in time ( bodies are hard to find in a planted aquarium) sadly I only have the male and one of his buddies left. The female didn't make it, along with a lot of others. Saddest time of my over 20 years in the hobby.
The rainbowfish boesmani can handle the temp of 28-30 c ? Iam thinking that is uiur zebra tank temp set? Because if this really works for you might be will follow this from u
I’ve really been wanting to convert my 500 ltr tank to a rainbow 🌈 tank. But they are so expensive here in Canada 🇨🇦 Great Videos, Great FishRoom keep up all the hard work!
I have 4 peppered corys about 3/4’s of an inch and a betta that’s a little bigger in a 10g. I know I’m gonna have to upgrade tanks eventually if the corys last but I feel like I need to get 2 more bc they don’t seem very active at all right now. What’re some thoughts
I personally believe corys should always be in groups of 6 or more. Thats when their 'happy behaviours' start to come out. I personally have 15. Couldn't be happier watching them play
Love all your pleco fry, If i use a egg tumbler every time the egg get bad and die, idk how you do that 🤣, got some new plecos L333 albino and already got the first spawn in 3 days
Put ‘em in when you want the spawn and remove after a few days. I’ve heard some species breed once a day, so leaving the mop in for multiple days in a row would probably increase yield, but you can switch out between two or three mops if you’re scared the fish will snag their eggs.
hi can you possibly give a little inspiring pep message that I can foword to my 13year old girl a few years ago I set her up with a few tanks and some Guppies she has found a pashon for it she now has lots of different fish and axolotls but I can't get her to step up and take control and
I would recommend you ask your daughter for help. Get her involved, show her the process of breeding/caring for the fish and rearing the young that pop out, cull and sell. Getting hands-on experience often gives people a new appreciation for the fish, and the reward of the young and the money that might come with it could be an incentive to get more involved in their care.

Has any heard of any breeds of Panaque cochliodon australia 🇦🇺 please
Is it hard to breed plecos? I'm interested to buy some but I never had them before, I think I should do some research about them before buying.
No but I think you need aquarium experience
hey brothaa anotha great one. What is the music you use? for acoustic track behind your narration
I think it’s called stinson
How long did it take you to come up with the setup you have now? How many different setups have you went through?
What are ur parameters to breed ur L397s if you don’t mind me asking
I love way thumbnail looks like a Christmas tree 😂😂
I didn’t even notice
To breed rainbow fish how many male and female to keep together?
Do you ship to the US?
What size tank are you spawning your rainbows in?
What would be the minimum size tank the rainbows will spawn in?
I’ve done dwarf neons in a 10, but it was a one time thing a year ago, I’m trying to replicate it currently, fattening up my female.
What type of repashy do you use?
I would also love to see you pUrchase a pair of boulvarian rams and breed them. Great videos Happy Holidays!
I should do that at some point

Time and patience
Yeah the rainbow merch lol

Why do you like pleco's so much. They are my least favorite but they are resilient.

Fish
Nah but fr. Just accidentally had a huge 150 fry spawn of dwarf neons the other day.
Hahaha whoops
@@KeepingFishSimple moved them out of a tank and a week later noticed there were heaps of fry simming around the top of their old tank
Ive had that happen it’s so cool
@@KeepingFishSimple still waiting on my choc zebras to get going tho. No signs yet.

If you want to talk about your plecos, so do a pleco video. 23 minutes of video, 2 minutes about rainbows.
