so true...I live in NY so I go to the NYC COMIC CON at the Javits Center (or I did, I have'nt been in 2 yrs) and it's soooo commecial now, the last time I went it was sooo packed you couldn't see the floor, I had to fight just to find a vendor with books. ist they sell everything else under the sun except the kitchen sink...I HAD PROBLEMS JUST FINDING A COMIC BOOK VENDOR!!!, and I make sure I pick the day the celebrities are NOT there, I don't care about panels or the new movie previews. My 1st con was over 15yrs ago...shit was not like this.
remember years back I watch this comic con Documentary said comicbook venders getting push down even more a lot this BIG STUDIO Companies getting BIGGER and BIGGER each year putting up coming movies, toys and TV shows. exclusives like Funko Pop!, NECA and Figures BUT, what about the comics, that's how comic con started some guys started the convention selling or trading comics
True, My first convention was in Corpus Christi TX at Realms Con in 2010 they were little small Venders selling after market toys, anime figures up t shirts and backpacks, Fan Art and heck Lucky finding Anime DVDs. This past Apirl I went to McAllen TX all I see in around venders was FUNKO POPS, DC and Marvel figures re selling them higher money, only two Local comicbook venders and one anime store. DAMN How times have changes now it's just making money of these things.
Little did we know that in 7-9 months things would change for the worst... love watching these. I yearn for the return of comic cons and anime conventions!
Cool shirts on both of you. And elite content here. This is where it starts, with these books. You guys delivered!!! And you always start off with Metropolis 👍
You are guys have such amazing pacing letting our eyes really take in the comics. It is like looking at a comic museum where you can pay for a piece of history.
Thanks So Much for letting me see some Real Comics at the Show! Thanks for not rushing past the comics in the display booths from some of the Big Name Comic Dealers.... wow Amazing Fantasy 15 was there if you had some Real $$$$$ for a Low Grade Book... Good Work.
I hope someday I can go to a San Diego Comic Con. It really looks like a lot of fun and seeing all those comics makes me want to go even more so. Awesome video Gem 💎
I like it when you talk on these videos. It would great to hear yours or manimal's insight on what we are looking at. The video is on point, just need some commentary now
Very neat. You know what's crazy? I can't say I've EVER see a video that actually shows the COMICS at San Diego COMIC con! As usual, great job, guys. One question if you have the time: some of those cases, I'm looking thinking "Holy Mother of God, that's gotta be a case worth half a million dollars, if NOT a a million," and was wondering....if, by chance, you can recall...what was the least expensive (but also not THAT beaten up) Amazing Fantasy #15? Heck I assume even like a 2.0 is like four down payments on a car. LOL!
This is what it's all about. How many of those issues were under $150 in those old mile high ads when I was reading as a kid. They were the goal then and they still are now.
omg, i've never seen such a collection of comics before. that's gotta be ten's of millions of dollars. QUESTION: Was that the original ink for the Tales of Suspense #39? I wonder how much it got auctioned for.
Not many comics get sold at the large comic cons anymore. I doubt high-rollers with money to burn buy many high-grade comics at SDCC or any of the Wizard World cons. SDCC is about anything BUT comics. It's basically promo for next year's movies and TV shows as well as releases of exclusive toys and statues you'll mostly be able to pay at con level prices or less online within the next year. Most of the original vendors that were at the first SDCC shows in the early 1970s don't even go anymore because they didn't sell enough at SDCC to make it worth the high cost of their booth space. Smaller cons are nicer anyway. More personal, less of this elbow to elbow slogging through sweat and bodies in miserable conditions when the AC isn't working.
Thanks to the “two man crew” for bringing the SDCC to living rooms all over the world. I was doing real good until I saw that 9.4 AF15 nested down in Torpedo comics booth. It reminded me to go grab some lotto tickets for tomorrow night !
I wonder how much Mysterio's first appearance goes for now. Being my favorite Marvel villain way before it was cool, I score ASM#13 like 15 years ago for a decent price. Then because I love the character so much, I practically stalked Stan Lee at a little local con and had a one on one with him. He was SO kind and gracious and my dream came true. As a result I had him sign my first appearance Mysterio. I've HEARD autographs actually hurt the value, but I wonder if this really would. But the truth is? The value is fun to know, that's it. Unless I was going to be homeless, I'd never sell it in a million years.
i have the #180 Hulk comic where the first appearance of Wolverine is in.. Plus i have a matching trading card that matches the cover... Rare item.... both in mint condition..... any takers???
I wonder how the vendors get these graded and slabbed comics that are worth tens of thousands of dollars or more safely to the convention center. I'd be scared to buy something like that and then have to walk around with it for the rest of the day.
Just read the Batman by grant morrison omnibus vol 2 and honestly didn’t really like it. I felt near the end especially it skipped around way to much and became difficult to follow. If you’ve read it what did you think of it?
I saw torpedo comics had a stand there. That's awesome I have my pull at the orange county California location. Anyone who hasn't gone should check them out. Cool people
Yo!, S.O.S I need your help, What's the difference between the $75 batman hush absolute edition vs $35 Batman Hush: The 15th Anniversary Deluxe Edition Hardcover? Nice Video BTW, Did you find any double dippers lol
The most underrated part of comic con.... the actual comics lol
so true...I live in NY so I go to the NYC COMIC CON at the Javits Center (or I did, I have'nt been in 2 yrs) and it's soooo commecial now, the last time I went it was sooo packed you couldn't see the floor, I had to fight just to find a vendor with books. ist they sell everything else under the sun except the kitchen sink...I HAD PROBLEMS JUST FINDING A COMIC BOOK VENDOR!!!, and I make sure I pick the day the celebrities are NOT there, I don't care about panels or the new movie previews. Johnny Smiles the Torpedo in Vegas?
This really tweeks the inner child in me.
Great music at the end....😎😎😎
Nice editing on this one, music is great as well!
Awesome I love The old comics
This is what it's all about. How many of those issues were under $150 in those old mile high ads when I was reading as a kid. They were the goal then and they still are now.
Now thats a collection of comics!!!
Thanks for the great video, unfortunately I wasn't able to go but really enjoyed the video.
Great video guys ..
Beautiful!
Great video! Could you do one just about original art?
I'd love to see what's out there.
Thank you for actually doing a comic video at a comicon! Those s AF15s though!!!
That Fight Against Crime with the decapitation cover will bring some serious coin.
Thank you.
Great video!
Nice job guys.
I didn't even think SDCC had comics anymore. Only hear about people going there to buy exclusives
I remember when it was almost all comics in the early 90s...definitely the most comics ever assembled in one place
so it's either a few of these or the mansion (w/ pool) in southern Munich!! :-D
Nerdbeilage these are for when you already have the mansion and the pool
Harley Yee always looks like he hates his life 🤣
And he takes it out on the rest of us with his prices!
He hates his job I guess or he just looks like that all the time.
Surprised there weren’t any 10s
I still can’t that the video games every 90’s kid loved playing can be worth so much now 😳
This video is so satisfying 👌
Omg one day i Will go to the SDCC I SWEAR 😍😭 that part looks so Amazing 😍😍😍😍
I miss the older days of SDCC, when it was about the comics and gaming. Now it's too much media.
Tommy Hancher Jr You are absoltuly right!
This place is a paradise for me :D
omg, i've never seen such a collection of comics before. that's gotta be ten's of millions of dollars. QUESTION: Was that the original ink for the Tales of Suspense #39? I wonder how much it got auctioned for.
I wonder how many of those expensive comics actually
Get sold at the cons.
ZERO LOL.... unless you base your whole trip on wanting a really important key 9.0 or higher.
Not many comics get sold at the large comic cons anymore.
I doubt high-rollers with money to burn buy many high-grade comics at SDCC or any of the Wizard World cons.

Comic books at a comic con!? Jumping jeepers Batman!
I wonder how much Mysterio's first appearance goes for now. Being my favorite Marvel villain way before it was cool, I score ASM#13 like 15 years ago for a decent price. Great video.
thanks...i think its important to highlight the comics and the artists, without them, there wouldnt be a con
i have the #180 Hulk comic where the first appearance of Wolverine is in.. Plus i have a matching trading card that matches the cover... Rare item.... both in mint condition..... any takers???
This music is intense.
I wonder how the vendors get these graded and slabbed comics that are worth tens of thousands of dollars or more safely to the convention center. I'd be scared to buy something like that and then have to walk around with it for the rest of the day.
I’m going to Boston Comic Con soon and I’ve been saving up a lot of money to try and get a rare comic
Epicv Video
oh my gawd!!!!!!!!! this is how you make america great!!!!
What are these comics doing at SDCC?
Anyone know whose booth this was? Dave and Adam?
Just read the Batman by grant morrison omnibus vol 2 and honestly didn’t really like it. I felt near the end especially it skipped around way to much and became difficult to follow. If you’ve read it what did you think of it?
the review is filmed....will drop after sdcc...hated it
Drool! The biggest surprise is that there’s no line at CGC!
I have a ton of never opened comics..thinking about getting them graded...
i would only grade key issues...first appearances and such
Gem Mint Collectibles hmm i have all early 90s so prob worth nothing. . I have Spawn/Batman. Spectacular Spiderman 200 amazing spiderman 375
@@deuceb0i spawn 1 in a 9.8...if it comes back anything less its not really worth it
Gem Mint Collectibles cool. I guess its personal preference then. Too bad none of the death of superman stuff is worth anything
I didn’t get to go comic con this year are you guys gonna be there next year?
yessir
I saw torpedo comics had a stand there. That's awesome I have my pull at the orange county California location. Anyone who hasn't gone should check them out. Cool people
Yo!, S.O.S I need your help, What's the difference between the $75 batman hush absolute edition vs $35 Batman Hush: The 15th Anniversary Deluxe Edition Hardcover? Nice Video BTW, Did you find any double dippers lol
i havent seen the 15th anniversary one in person...i doubt its as large as the absolute
I moaned when I saw action comics 1.😍
Great video but it would have been nice to hear all the background noise, it would have felt like you were there.
Def respect Torpedo comics but Metropolis comics is 🔥🔥🔥. Those high grades on those grails are no joke!
J Villa yea but I think Metropolis has consignment books and torpedo owns theirs... crazy books none the less.
dMNNN dem some big boy money books right there.... I didnt see no dollar bins from any dealer.........
There are actual comics there? 😮 can’t be much of the floor space. But that 7.5 amazing fantasies must go for a pretty penny...
