A very helpful video. All 5 facts were new to me and have eased my anxiety about my back pain. I have a herniated disc at L4/5 and all sorts of other findings I don't understand. I found fact 2 about sensitivity very interesting because I have noticed how stress appears to affect my back pain. I still have to overcome the anxiety of doing any movement that may set my back off, and confront my lack of confidence but as all the community members keep reminding me...start low, go slow (I think that's it!). Thank you Be Mobile Team!
Thanks for the video. Your comments sound very optimistic however I’ve had a prolapsed disc at L5/S1 and there was no way I would have been able to exercise with the pain.
During an acute event of back pain, rest, recovery and symptom management should be prioritized (exercise may not be tolerable in that stage just as you mentioned). We hope you are doing well - do let us know if you have any questions!
Considering I'm suffering acute on chronic pain at present it would be good to know what exercises I can do without weights to help my arthritis and degenerative spine your video very timely just want to minimize the chronic pain particularly muscle pain and be able to get back into strength exercises having hand and shoulder issues makes life very challenging but thanks for video
The key is to find an appropriate starting point for you, so that you can focus on starting and staying consistent with exercises that are tolerable (for your back, shoulder and hand) during and after each bout of exercise. Let us know how you go with your exercises!
Such practical and logical advice as always with you guys. I hope your mates watched this Oli :)
