That's something the Reddit post also mentioned, and it is true, but I thought it would be best to keep it simple in the video, and give a more straightforward clue without doing a math.
Also. can we all agree how stupid it is that a mission that cost gobs of money nets you less money in RMC/weapons/CM/Cargo combined then just finding some panels that spawn everywhere in fields and take 3 minutes tops to find. CIG do better please.
Well the cargo is mostly gone. I accepted a few Andromeda and Hammerhead contracts but none had cargo. Even if they do, it's now more about Distilled Spirits and Food Supply that ain't worth shit.
@@kingwolf3644i did some salvage contracts few days ago for the first time and they gave around 20-80k in cargo So far salvaging a corsair was the most profitable (but i had a c2 hog all of it)
@@YoDaPro I have no problem salvaging panels, but the gap between panels and ships shouldn't be this much, I believe. Like, 2.5 panels = 26 SCU vs Andromeda = 13 SCU. That's not even logical.
Lol the funny thing is Ive been doing this cause the last time i played was 3.18 and this is what you did. I did one salvage mission and said "this is the worst money for your time and investment ive ever seen" and went back to panels and been making bank. if your good you can make 530K per run! Its a sqeezer though.
"If you're good you make x per run" its salvage you can be a monkey and still make that amount it requires zero skill The limiting factor is ship size being better/more efficient effects time per run not income per run in the end 6 crates are still 6 crates
This is why I run with an org that has perfected group salvage. 3 vultures, two guys on an A2. As each vulture hits 12 or so, they back up to the A2 and the team inside unloads the vulture while the pilot relaxes for a few minutes. We were able to completely fill an A2 in about an hour, huge money for everyone in a very short order
Thank you for the great tutorial, this is really nice and quick to fill up the vulture. Only problem is to sell it now. Got "No Demand" in Lorville :(. Probably because everyone is doing the exploit to sell RMC -_-.
You can sell it for a little lower price at Daymar's Brio's Brakeryard or Wala's Samson and Sons. The former offers 11K per SCU, and the latter offers 10K. But Samson is safer.
good info... could you do a newbie video on salvaging like all those L-Alt keys and changing to tractor beam to stop a ship from spinning, etc.. like very noob instructions.. keep up the great work
If you are still doing salvage contracts there is a bug that if you fracture the ship the rmc on the fractured parts resets and you can get another 50% of the first total scu you scraped off. I only did these on the yela clean up andromeda/cutty missions though. About to try farming panels now.
3.23.1 Went to three different LaGrange points. Nothing but rocks. All odd numbered signals. Not your fault. RNJeesus forgives us of our sins...yes. Though he also hates us in general.
I did encounter this in Hur-L2. There were a lot of odd numbers, but I eventually found one. It took a lot of search tho. I usually have an easy time on Hur-L1, Arc-L2, and Mic-L2.
If the signature of the scan is divisible by 2000, then it's panels. quick tip to save you loads of time. Saw one that was exactly 2k, one panel. Found a 10k, 5 panels in it!
Im Trying your tip for around 2 Hours and i didn't find anything. I look for the RS signatures but they are always minirocks. Maybe ARC L1 didn't have salvage Panels at all. OR I'm stupid lol
RS Signatures should be dividable by 2,000. So, you will need to look for 10,000 or 8,000 (but 6,000 doesn't work and that's an exception). They are also always in groups. If your final 88-97% focus scan leads to a single teardrop, then it is not a panel. Some places seem to have a lot less panels. I searched Hur-L2 a lot and only found one. Mic-L2 and Arc-L2 worked a lot better for me.
No 2 abrades is waaaaaay better than a cinch and abrade. so much faster and panels are infinite so no need to worry about waste. sorry im typing these as im watching. more comments is good though right??? lol
Do they not spawn? If they don't spawn, keep an eye on your "Collision Warning" status. Usually, when you are close enough to the panels, the collision warning goes on very briefly. If you see it on, then stop and go back a little and wait for panels to spawn. Also, make sure to check RS Signatures. If an RS Signature is dividable by 2,000 (like 8,000 or 10,000 or 12,000 or etc), then it is definitely a panel.
Even if they don't spawn, when you move towards the teardrop icons slowly (preferably with landing gear deployed), you will receive a "Collision Warning" text briefly when you are close enough. Keep an eye on that warning, and when you get it, stop and move slightly backward and wait until they spawn.
It’s pronounced “Tierdrop”, like a “Tier rank list” even though it’s spelled the same as “to tear something apart”. Just one of those English gotcha pronunciations. Great video though! Thanks for the info!
I tried this method, it worked nice up to the point when the panel should appear. It did not. It was there, I could collide with it, the salvage beams did hit it (but didn't do anything with it), but still didn't load in. I was lingering around for 15 minutes at least, but nothing :(
How do you do the scan pulse in 3.23? Used to be hold V but I can't figure it out anymore, nevermind, as i continued watching you mentioned how haha! Thanks for the video :)
When the teardrop icons appear on the screen with no distance indicator on top of them, open your landing gear and move directly toward one of the teardrops. When your 88-97% focus scans doesn't show anything, then have an eye on your "Collision Warning" status. Even if they don't spwan, you should get a very brief collision warning. the moment you get it, stop, and then move a little bit backwards and wait. They should spawn.
Did this for the last couple of days, about 6 hours in total. I've already made 850K. I'm sure they will nerf this in the future, but I'm having fun with it for now.
Amazing video but I think this is on luck and chance does not happen everytime, we could easily take a illegal salvage and finish it while doing this search operation in my opinion.
The first time might take a bit longer, but when you learn the trick, you can easily find them. It's a bit slow when you try to reach panels and let them spawn, but the overall process is still faster and more rewarding than salvaging bigger ships.
If you look at RS Signature before hand, if it's divisible by 2000, it's salvage.
That's something the Reddit post also mentioned, and it is true, but I thought it would be best to keep it simple in the video, and give a more straightforward clue without doing a math.
@@kingwolf3644 either way, very good tutorial!
I was also about to mention this :)
multiples of 2k is the way to go, except if you get an rs return of 6k, it wont be panels (exception to the rule).
This is the best guide I’ve seen yet! Thank you!
Great video! Short, to the point, comprehensive, and engaging.
very helpful. i was tearing my hair out because i keep losing my scans
Awesome video, shared with my org. Thanks!

That is true, but the panel scraping is faster overall, since they scrape faster than ship's hull for some reason.
An we scrape the abandon space cargo space station?

can you brake down the panel like the ships?
Honestly, I didn't even try it. I mean, CM price is too low that I didn't even think of adding a small bunch of it to the cargo.
No you can't
how to zoom your visual when mining the metal?
Hold down F and scroll.

I hope they just add value to ships rather than nerfing this. Like, you pay 30K for an Andromeda contract and it only returns 180K after over 1 hour.
Now they are gonna nerf the panels too. GG
